This Tanger Outlet has a Coach store and a Le Creuset, but I have to say that there's nothing too special about it. Parking in the middle of the day was okay, although I can see how this place might be a super crowded area during the holidays. If you're looking for deals, this place is about as "deal driven" as the mall. There are sales, but they aren't all that special when it comes to pricing. Happened to be driving past and we stopped there just to check it out. Nothing spectacularly special about it compared to other outlets I've been to around the country. I've been to a couple of the Tanger outlets and this one is quite nice. While the whole place is outdoors (and it was raining when I was here), it was helpful to have most of the place covered. That didn't make it much warmer, but it certainly kept me much drier. Wide areas in between shops. All very level, so if you travel in a scooter or wheelchair you're fine here. Wi fi throughout. Bonus! Prices? Hit and miss. Some are okay, some are NOT okay. read more

New center built from the ground up is decidedly better than most of the other Tanger centers I've been to. It's easy to get to, though the parking design is a little bit of a headache. There's plenty of it, it's just the layout can be annoying. And remember that if you exit by the ramp at the Saks Off Fifth end, you can only turn right and you'll have to go down to the stoplight and do a U-turn to get back to Mebane Oaks Rd. and the interstate. Anyway, everything is new and well-laid out with a nice selection of stores and generally very good prices. I frequent Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren Polo, and Johnston & Murphy, but there are dozens of other high-end places here selling discounted wares. The only place I've ever noticed that doesn't really live up to the outlet price theory is the Brooks Brothers here. Not many deals the last couple of times I've been. There are three kitchen stores, a QVC outlet and multiple shoe outlets including Rockport and Cole Haan. There's also free wifi throughout the exterior and a great little throwback burger place, Jake's Wayback Burgers, that makes to-order beef and turkey patties with lots of toppings and they are delicious. Walking spaces are wide and pleasant. Not a place to go if it's raining--though you might get a better parking space. read more

Of course if they have Banana Republic, Johnson & Murphy, and Lucky Brand then I'm a fan! One thing about Tanger, the facility will always be immaculate! This is no exception as the grounds are always spotless, bathrooms are immaculate, and typically flowers for every season are in abundance! I know, I know, the whole story regarding the quality of the "factory store" products versus what the brand sells in their real stores, but I for one don't really mind. I was able to make a stop at Tanger during my travels this weekend. I was excited because the place is a madhouse closer to the holidays where you cannot exit from the highway. There are a myriad of stores to fit any taste. You just need to bring patience and dress warmly on a cold day. I made a few stops, a few purchases, and had to be on my way to my ultimate destination. Note: The parking lots seem insufficient. Once you go into a lot area, you have to exit the same way. Don't expect to make a U-Turn from the main street into the outlet center, that's a no-no. My review is specifically directed at the Tanger general information/customer service office. I just experienced pretty poor customer service here, my basic inquiry was treated fairly dismissively. The Good - Decent location between Greensboro and Raleigh. Right off the interstate. - Found some good bargains. Nike Outlet is nice and was competitive. - On the weekend I went, a lot of the stores were handing out pamphlets with significant discounts listed. I was happy with these outlets! I went here specifically to go to a few stores that I knew were located here. I would compare this place to the outlets I am use to in MA, it was just a bit smaller. I can see how people are not thrilled with the food selections there, but I would just plan for that ahead of time. My favorite store here is probably the Banana Republic. You really can't beat the deals especially when they have a clearance sale going on. I usually love BCBG but this one left a bit to be desired. I would have loved it if they had a Kate Spade outlet here and a Nordstrom Rack would also be great. I went on a really nice day in February so I was definitely concerned it might be jam packed since it was the first nice day in a while. I went on Sunday and arrived shortly after they opened at 11. I had no problem finding parking and there weren't many crowds to deal with. As the day went on and I was leaving the place started to get packed and the parking lot filled up. I would recommend going right when they open if you want to avoid some of the craziness. read more

I honestly give this place a 2.5, but can't give half stars, so I rounded up. Going here was an experience. Not a bad or good experience, but just an experience to say I have been here once, nothing special, no reason to ever go back. This is what I think about Tanger outlets. The look is new and shiny, and like all of the other shopping centers they are going for the NY boutique walking down the street look for an updated and modern feel. One problem with that, if you plan on doing some shopping from store to store, this is only a place to go during the warm dry months. This is an open outdoor shopping center, so when it is cold, rainy, snow outside, expect that to be your entire shopping experience. Who wants to walk from store to store carrying bags when it is cold and raining. Not me, so I would go to an enclosed mall during that time. Plus if it has snowed recently, expect for them to either close the outlet, or you have to walk in the snow from store to store. The exposed to the elements shopping experience is not for me. Like other reviews mentioned, they only have 5 places to get food. Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Jacks Wayback burgers, Subway, Mario's NY Pizza, and Ben & Jerry's. So don't think you are going to shop for a while, eat, shop some more. The food places are tiny, so on crowded days, you will be waiting for a while, or hungry. I went on a slow day and still had to wait a while for Pizza. They do have plenty of name brand stores, and several empty stores. While walking into some of the stores and looking at the prices, I saw that they were only a few dollars cheaper than regular mall store prices. So in my opinion, not a real saving unless I plan on buying in bulk and spending hundreds of dollars per shopping excursion. I have to save more that I spent on gas & drive time cost. Only if I lived close would I go here just to pick up one item. They do have maps all over the place, and the maps tell you to stop by customer service first. When you go to customer service, they want to get your information, and have you buy a $10 lifetime membership to Tanger Outlets, and sell you $5 coupon books. Since I don't live close, and don't plan on going back anytime soon if ever, I didn't see it as a good deal. read more

I stopped by Hanes Brand yesterday to find a sports bra. When I asked the cashier where I could find them, she pointed & said "Champion!" I walked to the wrong area & she didn't even correct me. When I finally found them, they weren't what I needed, unlike in days past before the move to the other building. I decided to stop by Lane Bryant to see if they had any sports bras & I found just what I needed. Their sales people were very knowledgeable & helpful. Thanks Lane Bryant! read more

I over all enjoyed my visit to this location of the outlets. I liked how it was organized and plenty of signs to find the store you wanted. You can get a coupon booklet if you are a AAA member. The only downside is the lack of places to eat. I wish they had some better options. read more

This is my first, and most likely my last visit to this site because of guest services today. I had two gift cards, one, $35, a year and a half old, and one, $25, a year old. Neither had ever been used, due to not going to the centers. Today, I was shocked, when guest services said both had a zero balance, and shredded them without asking me first. Had I been asked, I would have written down the numbers to figure out why they'd been a zero balance, unused. I've never been quite so upset at the presumptuous nature of an employee before. Should I not be asked before MY property is destroyed? Upon being questioned, the lady shrugged her shoulders, turned her back, and acted like I had been dismissed. At least own up to what you did, and tell me why, upon being asked, rather than walking away. That was $60 I should have been able to spend as intended, and I want to know why I could not. That is a lot of shopping! I do not believe I will ever be back to this center, or any other Tanger Center after such treatment. I bet she hangs up on her children, too........ As far as the center, two bathrooms were out of toilet paper (men's/women's), most stores are not true factory stores, and the traffic is bad, although the mall has a nice layout, it is on the small side. read more

My family and I went to the Micheal Kors location at the tanger outlet mall in Mebane, NC today 5/28/2022 at 12:30 pm. I have to say that my mother and I were very, very impressed. Immediately we walked in , a lady with a short hair and glasses asked us if we needed anything. I had asked for Ms. Maralie but I was told she's off today. Then Kristin ( I'm sorry if I had spelled her name wrong) with the blue Micheal Kors dress helped my mother and I. She was so patient and kind. I thank her so much for that. The cashier with the grey sweater, she was just as patient with us, while ringing us up. The other lady she had a brown Micheal Kors, dress she was also a cashier, she asked if I received my gift card , I told her yes. My mother and I both said that we loved the customer service and even my mother said that next time we shop she wants to see them again. The lady did welcome us back. I will also call Ms. Natalie and the Tanger manager and let them know. I will also write a whole new review as well . The customer service, they way everyone was dressed , the warmth we received and they were like this with everybody was amazing. We had a wonderful experience. Whew. I don't know what possessed me to go shopping at an outlet mall around back to school time. I think that may have marred my experience because it was pure chaos when I went. Pros: Decent selection of stores with the children's stores all grouped near each other as well as playground space. Cons: Very crowded parking and super messy stores. I noped out of the Old Navy and Gap stores because it looked like a bomb had exploded. An hour wait in line ain't worth it for a $10 dress. Would I go back? Potentially, but definitely not during peak shopping times. read more

This place just wasn't for me. The only thing I found here to buy was frozen yogurt. I brought a kid with me and there are no toy stores, so neither one of us found anything. I left and went to Southpoint. It does look like a good place to go if you want to buy clothes or sneakers. Maybe it should be called a clothing mall? read more

Plenty of stores to choose from. A lot of sales and variety for everyone. There is plenty of parking with a another lot for bigger vehicles and overflowing section. This outlet was very busy when we went shopping. Many of the stores where packed to capacity and it wasn't unbearable to shop. No restaurants here and no restaurant around this shopping area you will have to drive to another exit to find something good to eat. read more

My mom desperately wanted to check out the new outlet, and I thought I might be able to get a little xmas shopping out of the way; so she drove from Greensboro, and I from Durham; and we met in the middle(ish?) at Mebane. Having read the reviews here, I knew parking would be A Situation. So we arrived at 10am, and luckily avoided any hazards. Note: there are some coupons available to print online via their website. I started off at Saks and admit I was pretty impressed with the handbag selection (Gucci and Prada, Rebecca Minkoff among the designers). Clothes-wise, lots of Theory, Alice & Olivia, and --more mid-end-- Calvin Klein. The store -- compared to its Morrisville Mall sister -- is very modern, shiny & new, with gorgeous tall ceilings. And the guys' selection is solid! Nice to have a Coach outlet besides Smithfield and it's large and well-stocked. And all the sales associates were moving lines along efficiently. Similarly, I was pleased with the Banana Republic & J Crew outlet stores. Mom was bummed about the lack of kitchen stores (Mikasa, etc). And I would have loved to see a Kate Spade store. But generally, I think it's a solid stop for shopping and it's nice to have a :real: outlet option in the area (a-hem: Burlington, I'm looking at you). read more

We came here on the third day of business operations - on the opening weekend Sunday afternoon. Whether or not that was good planning on our part is up for grabs. It would not be an exaggeration to say that everyone and their mothers (and possibly aunts and grandmothers) were here. Parking situation - horrendous. There is a neighboring business that is still about an 8-10 min. walk from the outlet center that was charging $20 for parking in their empty lot. We almost parked a mile away until I threw a hissy fit (not really, but really) and then we miraculously found a spot nearby. We had to parallel park. In North Carolina. As this is opening weekend, it's to be expected. Hopefully the chaos will die down a little, but probably not since it's holiday shopping season now. Otherwise, this place is what you would expect of your average outlet mall. There were so many people though, that credit card sales were slow because there was SO much electronic traffic. Again, hopefully the chaos will die down, but probably won't. Free wifi in spots! I'll definitely be back. Because I'm a sucker like that :) read more

Not really an "Outlet mall" I've been here twice now, and so far, I see no reason to come here over Southpoint or Crabtree. The stores were pretty much what you find at the mall, Chico's, J. Crew, etc., and things were not cheaper. "Outlet" to me implies that the items may be slightly imperfect at reduced prices. Sak's had some fantastic clothes and shoes, better selection than Morrisville, but again the prices are high. I guess if you have a lot of money, an $800 dollar pair of shoes that used to be $1500 might seem like big savings. Also, there is no food right now other than pretzels and a pizza wagon in the parking lot. read more

Easy to get to right off of I-40 and it's really not that far fro the RTP area. You can get a lot of good deals on clothes here, but since it's all brandware obviously, I still find it a bit expensive. The Corningware store has a lot of good multi combo sale deals once in a while and the quality is very good. Half our kitchen stuff comes from there! The architechture of the mall area is something I like a lot, it feels like walking around in a little village, it is really clean everywhere, and it never feels crowded, not even on weekend afternoons, there are lots of benches in shaded areas for a break. Also never a problem finding parking. The food options are surprisingly limited given that most peope would want to spend a good few number of hours when coming here. I think it would be a nice addition if they had a cafe/coffee shop and it would probably do well. read more

I can only give this outlet 2 stars. First off I am a huge shopaholic. You might notice that in my reviews... This place earns points for having the one and only QVC store in NC. I just love to go in there and browse, so that store alone sets it apart from other Outlet malls. It also has a Saks outlet- popular with many but for me I could care less. Too expensive even at outlet prices. What this outlet is lacking is a bigger parking area. I WON'T be going anywhere near this place during the holidays. It doesn't have any book stores. It also has NO food court! I have found only 2 places to eat there- a burger place and a subway. NO SIR-not enough! It doesn't have my favorite store- Dress Barn. And it doesn't have anywhere for my beloved non shopaholic husband to hang out, so the poor guy has to drop me off and drive miles down the road to something more to his liking. The McDonalds up the road won't even let you hang out there for more then 30 minutes. Due to these important things being left out, it rates only 2 stars in my book- and that is coming from your resident shopaholic. read more

For an outlet in the middle of no where NC it's not that bad. The usual Nike/coach/under armour/banana republic with some saks. Wish it had more higher end that you see in NY Or FL. Parking is always interesting as the lots fill up pretty quickly. The awnings do help shade the amount of sun this place gets in the earlier summer months. This is the best that you can find in the area ... aka outside of Raleigh. read more

I love the outlet malls! I feel like the employees here always go above and beyond to be nice and helpful. I think they may have some sort of commission program though. ;) You can find some great deals if you look. For instance, I bought two J Crew skirts and two pairs of J Crew shorts for $40 total yesterday. As an FYI, Izod is closing all of their outlet stores and moving to just department stores and online. Tanger Outlets, located conveniently off I-40 in Mebane, is pretty nice. On the plus side, both the Gap and Banana Republic outlets are pretty well-sized and enjoyable. They have lots of stuff, and the service is good. On the minus side, the QVC outlet is one of the saddest places I've ever entered in my entire life. A lot of awkward wooden bunnies, not well-lit, and very, very random. There are outlets here for all the people, from perfume to clothing. They also have some food options, though not many. read more

I occasionally like to break up my trips to VA with a food stop or shopping and so I was so happy when this outlet center opened as it provides a little of both and it gives my little man a break from the long drive. I like the fact that Tanger has added Saks Off 5th to their outlet scene in different locations, but other than that the stores are pretty much the same as other outlets and of course it's right off of the interstate which is always a plus. read more

The stores here are high quality compared to most of my experiences with outlet malls. The Saks, Brooks Brothers, Le Creuset, Polo, Gap, Lacoste were highlights on our recent visit. I'm very excited for the Oakley Vault (sunglass addiction)! I like that there are canopies to shade walks between stores. Also, the mall layout (a figure 8) is convenient to breeze through and hit all the stores. Parking is a mess, but it looks like maybe there is room for development. Speaking of traffic, I think the flow of traffic from the interstate and into the mall was pretty good and well planned. Considering it's less than 30 minutes from Southpoint, it's another great option for your shopping. read more

I. Love. Tanger. Outlets! I'm a Nine West, Banana Republic, Hanes and Ann Taylor fan-and it doesn't get better than having those stores all together! I usually luck out and am able to get in and out of this outlet very easily... although I've heard a lot of people complain about the parking (they don't seem to have enough... and there was plenty of evidence of people parking in the grass last week). This is an open-air outlet, great stores and selections (for men, women, teens, children), not a lot of eateries. It IS covered, just not heated or cooled. These outlets are pretty close to my dad's house. I decided to go here for two reasons - first, to check out the Coach outlet, and second, to see if I could get my husband to try on clothes. He actually AGREED because he knows he needs them, especially some jeans and work pants. We totally scored at the GAP outlet. We walked out of there with two pairs of shorts, two pairs of pants, one pair of jeans, five collared work shirts, and three tshirts. Did I mention that my husband has bought NO jeans NO shorts and only ONE pair of pants in our five plus year relationship?! This was a victory. A major victory! We got all that for about $300. I also scored at the Coach outlet. It was the best one I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot. Lane Bryant had some decent deals and I walked out with a big bag from there too. A highly productive visit! I stopped there, as my bankroll was empty. Parking - easy. Food options - limited but who cares when there are good deals? Employees - the friendliest around. People who criticize don't know what they are missing! read more

I really like that they have a vineyard vines outlet, Michael Kors, and Coach. There is plenty of seating outside for anyone who doesn't want to go in the stores or needs a break. My only complaint would be that there are no sit down restaurants in the plaza. You have to get in your car and drive somewhere. However, there are plenty of places that are close and there are places for snacks like Auntie Annie's. read more

Pretty nice outlet. They have plenty of stores for you to shop in as well as a variety. It's not exceptionally large but the right size for this area. I am actually surprised that it is in this area. I feel like it is a well kept secret in this part of NC. I am not a big shopper but the layout of this outlet is pretty cool. I am new to the whole Tanger Outlets thing so I can't really compare it to any others in the country. Most of it is outdoors so be prepared if the weather is less than desirable. I've been to the Tanger outlets a few times and thought I would give them a review now that I have experienced it a few times. I actually thought I would love Tanger- from all of the hooplah that existed when it opened, you would have thought this place was a shopping mecca. Not so much. It has all of the standard outlet staples: Levi's, Off 5th, Coach, Michael Kors, Guess, Gap, J Crew, etc. You can definitely take care of your shopping needs and I do love getting a great deal on handbags, however, I'm not sold on the fact that the deal is worth the drive. I have always purchased items when shopping at Tanger, but the drive there just isn't worth the savings- that's just my two cents. The set-up is really nice. I love feeling the outdoorsy shopping ambiance, similar to Southpoint mall, however, it is just another outlet mall. Nothing to write home about. read more
