I was searching for an outlet mall near Pittsburgh and came across a Tanger outlet on my way to a hotel in Washington, PA. The mall is located near I-79 and is a few minutes away from the highway. We arrived a bit late on a weekend, but there were still stores open. The mall is an outdoor style with a flow of one motion that allows you to do a loop. The selection is pretty good considering it was fairly quiet when we were shopping. There weren't many deals, but there were some interesting selections and discounts that probably vary from week to week. Overall, it's definitely worth visiting if you're in the mood to shop. There are quite a few stores that might interest you, and you might be able to score some deals that surprise you. read more

We stopped by yesterday around 7pm and had time to hit a few stores. We were able to find some workout tops at Underamor and Old Navy. I personally like the setup of this outlet better than the Grove City one. This one is basically a large loop with a few small spokes so it easier to not miss anything. Most places didn't give us any issues with walking in an hour before closing but there were a couple of spots that closed a little early. We thought it would be completely empty on a Wednesday night but to our surprise we saw a handful of people meandering around, presumably parents of the kids taking karaoke lessons at the martial arts school located inside Tanger. read more

The Tanger Outlets Pittsburgh is an open-air outlet mall that is located in Washington, PA about 25 miles south of Pittsburgh. Currently, this outlet mall contains several dozen businesses. Several casual restaurants are available. Examples of stores are Adidas, American Eagle, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Bath and Body Works, Brooks Brothers, Carter's, Clarks, Coach, Crocs, Columbia, Eddie Bauer, Express, Famous Footwear, Gap, H&M, Kate Spade, Kirkland's, Levi's, Michael Kors, Nike, Old Navy, Polo Ralph Lauren, Saks Off 5th, Skechers, Steelers Pro Shop, Under Armour, and many others. Some other businesses are small and local. For many years, I have visited this outlet mall off and on. During my most recent visit, I thought that some salespeople ignored me and could say hello more. The parking lot had plenty of parking spaces. The buildings and sidewalks were in good condition and were clean. I left this mall with several shopping bags that were full of reasonably priced clothes and accessories. It has become our yearly tradition, while visiting the grandparents in the area, to come to this outlet mall the day before Thanksgiving. It is a fantastic time to come here. The sales are abundant, and the crowds are nonexistent. I highly recommend that anybody that is wanting to do some shopping, visit on this day. They have added some new stores since last year, which is really nice to see. The food court area and restrooms are always clean. We enjoy shopping here and finding lots of bargains. Especially since you do not pay sales tax on clothes in Pennsylvania. Big win! read more

This outlet mall is alright. Times are tough still with the economy and workforce... and you can feel it here. Several of these shops are closed at hours when they should be open, and the food options are somewhat lacking. Don't come here with an agenda to find a certain thing, because it might just not be there. Stopped here on the way back from Pittsburgh. I have been to several other Tanger Outlets locations in Charleston, Rehoebeth, and Ocean City. This location is the usual collection of stores with outdoor walkways and a food court. It was very clean, there was plenty of parking, and the employees at the stores were very helpful and cheerful despite coming after the holidays when things can be very draining. One employee in particular at the Polo store was very helpful and went up and beyond the call of duty by helping me find clothes at another store and having them shipped to me. The stores are a good collection of the brands and stores as the others - and even though we came after the holidays I was a little troubled with the lack of inventory at this one. I will return but for me I would say it was a great place to shop for anyone no matter age or taste. read more

I LOVE THIS OUTLET MALL. The Nike store has awesome deals every time i visit! That is one of the main reasons why I go. I visited the service desk and collected my coupon book free of charge, thanks to Yelp. The food court needs a little work, there is only 4-5 places to eat including Annie Ann's pretzels, which is located outside, not inside the mini food court. On the plus side, selection of stores is very vast! There is everything from maternity to children to sports fans! I enjoy the free wifi and always getting the best deals possible. I've always been a fan of Tanger Outlets since they've opened. It has a wide variety of stores, ample parking and not much foot traffic in terms of people in the outlet. What more could you ask for? One of the nicest things about the outlets is how clean the entire place is? For an outdoor mall, it's really held up well. The mall has a wide variety of stores like, Gap, J Crew, Under Armor, Old Navy, Eddie Bauer, and more. They have Michael Kors, Coach, and a Sak's outlet store too. The parking lot is huge and no matter where you park, it doesn't seem like you have to park that far way. Ever go to some outlets and you feel like you park a mile away from any store? It has a small food court with like four different options to eat like Italian and Chinese and off to the side there are restrooms which were pretty clean as well- that's always a bonus in my book, dirty bathrooms are the worst. They've got coupon books in vending machines that cost you $5 and will give you deals at pretty much every shop at the outlet. Some stores are outlets and some are not so be ready for that, but does it really matter? If you want it, you'll buy it regardless. It's tough here in the winter because of the weather, but nothing is nicer than a 78 degree day here and to be able to walk around outside shopping at the mall, especially when you find a deal or two. read more

I've visited a lot of Tanger in the past and this one has to be my favorite. The parking lot is huge! Enough space for everyone, it was never-ending. The variety of shops surprised me too, especially seeing stores like H&M. It's rare to see the type of stores at other Tanger Outlets. I also noticed that stores like Nike was bigger. This outlet basically sat onto of a mountain so it was not congested with other shopping malls. read more

We love shopping at the Tanger outlets. It's not incredibly far from home so that's a plus. There are a lot of good shops here. Some of my fav are : Nike, Kate Spade, Columbia, Children's place, Crocs... many more. Their food court is small and only has 3 options. We order sbarro this time and we were not disappointed. I love a good hot thin slice of pizza. My husband got a pepperoni Stromboli and was happy except could've used less sesame see for this top. All of the bathrooms here are clean. I also really like the layout of the outlets. I like that it is outside but they do have awning/roofs that shade some of the walkway. read more

This is a small outlet mall within a 20 minute drive from Pittsburgh. The variety of shops here is decent considering the size. I find the layout for all outlet malls a little crazy but it takes getting used to. I always head to the Information Center first to get my discount coupon booklet using my AAA card. Alternatively, you can purchase them for $5 at the vending machine or at the Information Center. The funny thing here is that they take forever to pull up your information using your AAA card (they ask for your zip code, and verify your name). In other outlet malls, they just scan your AAA card and get you on your way. Tanger needs some hi-tech updates in this regard. In the summer, they have a lot of small shops camped in between (selling bed-sheet sets, ornamental jewellery etc.) I have a few favorites where I always find some good deals (obviously depending on needs and wants): Wilson Leather, Guess, Adidas, Levis, Van Heusen, Lindt Chocolates. I have bought $20 shoes at Adidas multiple times and $10 jeans at Levis can't be beat. I wish they had a PUMA store, more food options in the food court and more than one coffee joint. read more

They have a great selection of all the high end and department stores in one area. They give away a coupon book every visit when you sign up for a membership. Do Not Shop at Pittsburgh Tanger Outlet Cosmetics Company Store. I just had a really bad experience today. The sales(blonde and skinny) keeps rolling her eyes to me when I ask questions and check out. And I've treated in such a bad attitude. However, when some white girls came in the store, she started to introduce the discount and been so nice to them. Can anyone tell me why? Is that because I'm an Asian? I feel highly insulted. Plus, in store today, if u spend over 150 bucks, there is a free sample to give. When I check out the stuffs and I asked if I can get the sample because I spend over 150, she didn't answer my question and throw the sample in the bag in a really rude way. I am sure that the store has cameras that record what she did. I love Tanger Outlet a lot, and I keep recommending my friends to go. But, it is the worst shopping experience in my life. Being a Canonsburg native, I was incredibly excited to hear the news that we would be getting our own outlet mall less than 10 minutes from my house. After Tanger opened for business, I honestly can say the only things I missed about Grove City were the childhood memories of not having to pay for my own clothes. If you are looking for great deals, the outlets are the place to go. There are several outlet (or factory) stores like Banana Republic, J. Crew, Gap, Levi's, Nike, Under Armour, Express, etc., where you can find great deals as far as they eyes can see. The differences between the outlet stores as opposed to the retail stores aren't extreme, but they do often carry different merchandise. I used to work at Gap when I was in college and I found that I liked the outlet merchandise better, even if only for the smaller price tag. Some stores are not necessarily outlets, but there are still occasionally mall-wide promotions that include these stores and allow you to get a better-than-normal deal. The store selection is great and has many common favorites like American Eagle, H&M, Guess, Zumiez, etc. To sum it up, they have a little bit of everything here to cater to every shopper's taste. There are a few stores with athletic wear, some with dressier attire, Coach and Michael Kors, even outdoorsy stores like Columbia if you are into that. One small void Tanger has is the lack of a good underwear or lingerie store. There is a Hanes store, but a Victoria's Secret or Aerie would be nice. Tanger's food court is nothing crazy. Between the pizza spot Villa, Subway, ChickenNow, and an Asian restaurant called Wok & Roll, there aren't many choices if you've shopped yourself hungry. My biggest gripe with Tanger was always the lack of a good coffee shop, but they've since put in Coffee Express-O. Auntie Anne's has a pretty decent basic cup of coffee if you're looking for something with less frill, though. Another great thing about this mall is that it has always been very neat and well-kept from the landscaping to the clean restrooms. I was in love with the simple and modern design of Tanger from the moment I saw it. At about a 30 minute drive from downtown Pittsburgh, it's a fairly shorter distance than traveling to Grove City. There are also a slew of fun things to do around the mall including plenty of dining and the Meadows Casino. You won't regret visiting this outlet mall, but I can't say the same for your wallet! read more

I love Tangler! When I need something new or quick , I like to run up here. They have almost every store you can think of and need to run to. I enjoy the free wifi and being able to always find a deal here. The only drawback is there is no Victoria Secret here. This would be perfect if only they had this one store. What a great outlet mall! First of all, not very busy on a weekday, so great easy parking. This is a typical outside format mall. It was cold when I was there, winter, and there is some wind in the outside mall format. The welcome center was terrific, large, clean, organized. Various food court options. I absolutely love the outlets!! My favorite store is the Nike store. Why? Well since I am a gym enthusiast I like to look nice when I hit the gym! This place allows for that on a budget:-) I love that I can hit the Nike store then check out what adidas may have. I purchased three pairs of shoes for my daughter from the Nike store and spent less than 70 dollars:) I also like that they have my daughters favorite store here JUSTICE. The sales are not as prevalent as you would think, so you do have to dig through for a deal, but I do t mind and neither does she. Especially if she gets some ice team out of the deal. I also purchased my fiancées wedding band fis on Kay jewelry store! What a selection and what a deal!!! The ladies were so helpful and did everything they could to get me a good deal. And a military discount! I will frequent these shops as long as I am living in MOTown! read more

It's been years since I've been here, but I still don't see many improvements on my complaints. The food options still aren't great. Especially since it's such a spacious shopping complex. To have only a handful of fast food type options is weird to me. I was craving a tea nd didn't see a coffee shop in sight. It would be smart to add something in the center of the outlet. But this is just the food, let's get to the shopping. This is like an "outlet" light. I've have to estimate that half or over half of the stores are just the regular iteration. H&M, AE, Carter's are all the regular stores. My main squeeze is still Saks off Fifth. I went out purely to check out the new Kate Spade outlet and it was slightly disappointing. The majority of the bags were their classic bags in black and beige. Only a very small selection of colorful, fun options you're used to with Kate Spade. While half the store has some pretty decent sales, it's not enough for me to make a trek back out here anytime soon. read more

Tanger member parking available. A few stores offers military discount so be sure to ask for it. I'm not from PA so the drive here was quite interesting coming from Mifflin side of Pittsburgh. Once in a while, all 3 hits align, depending on where you like to shop, and you can score some great stuff for cheap. Otherwise, 1 out of 3 might sometimes be worth a longer drive here instead of your local mall, but... meh. Definitely not worth detouring here if Grover City is closer. read more

This Tanger Outlet in Washington PA is about a good 30 minute drive down I-79 from the Pittsburgh area. It's pretty much across the street and up the hill from the Meadows Racetrack/Casino. While I usually go to Grove City Outlets on the way to to Pittsburgh I still will go down to this mall more often now too. It's in Washington county so since it's not in Allegheny county there's no extra 1% tax on non clothing/children's items etc. I am starting to like this place more than Grove City now because it's much more compact so it doesn't take half a day to walk the entire thing. Sure it's smaller but Under Armor is Under Armor in Mercer county or Washington county. The other stores I like here are Polo, Adidas, Lids and Levi's. I've never had a problem finding parking here but I prefer to park near the south end close to Under Armor. There are about half a dozen disabled parking spots there if I recall. It may not have as many stores as Grove City but it's not far behind and they also have stores that Grove City doesn't. If you're willing to drive south to Washington, PA this mall is not bad. I still go to Washington because my favorite Gabriel Bros is still there off US-19 Washington Road. We had a great time at Tanger this weekend, I highly recommend these outlets for Christmas shopping! I expected the parking to be annoying and although it was full, they have a huge lot so we found a spot quickly and not too far from the stores. All of the stores have masks at the door in case you need one. They also have hand sanitizer and occupancy limits which is all great. They have a lot of good stores there, although I don't think nearly as many as Grove City Outlets. The way the complex is organized is seems kind of strange while you're walking around inside it, but it's really just a big rectangle. Definitely look at a map when you get there so you don't get confused. There are a lot of benches in the walk ways which is really nice. Although it isn't as big as Grove City Outlets, I really like these outlets for a quick shopping trip. I got some good deals and had a good time. I highly recommend! read more

For outlet mall choices, this one hits the high spots for stores that happen to be at the top of my list -- White House Black Market, Ann Taylor, the Loft, Eddie Bauer in particular. First time here so made the full trip al the way around the complex to see what all stores were here. Definitely nice selection per my shopping habits -- women's clothing and shoes. Prices? Meh, I find outlets in general have items with prices not all that crazily discounted for being called an "outlet". But, if you look, you can find deals. I found a lovely heavy cowl-neck burgundy sweater I'm thrilled with at WHBM for under 40.00 so that made my trip worthwhile in my opinion. read more

Went for the Memorial Day weekend sale 2021. After driving 45 minutes from Monroeville all the way out here this is the second time I left with nothing. Adidas still will not let you try anything on in their one closed off changing room. The prices are ridiculous and the quality is shabby. Sub par stuff with crappy gimmick sales that are a rip off. Michael Kors has got to be my favorite splurge store, but I always end up getting amazing deals. When I need new shoes (especially work shoes), I go to Nike or Reebok. My husband loves Haggar for all his shorts and suits. Dress Barn is great when I'm looking for dressier clothes for whatever occasion. If you're looking to eat there, I'd say pass on by the food court. It's pretty skint and really pricey. Save your money for shopping! read more

This changed on Saturday! I was so stoked by the prices AND the quality of the items. Plus, the employees were helpful in every single store we walked into and interested in helping versus trying to sell me an item simply to make a sale. I think it would have been nicer to have a few stores - for a Tanger Outlet it felt small, but I was pleased with every store I walked into.
