ZERO STARS!!! BUT THE ONE STAR FOR THE KIDS. I GUESS ITS GOOD FOR YOUR KID IF SHE IS LEARNING --…read moreTHEN MOVE ON TO TRAVEL BALL ASAP! I have a lot to say but I'll keep it short -- just talk to coaches or parents and they may agree with me. I love the sport and had 3 daughters play here. The truth is that that the following board members are incompetent and it starts with Robert Madrid Equipment / Field Manager who doesn't know how to read an insurance packets and is a total [!@#$], Sammy Sosa Vice Pres. /Chief Player Agent who makes promises and later decides to give you the back, and Richard Gil the President. of WCGS who never responds to emails or messages. Bad management, poor softball fields, self serving board members who just try to get the best players to form a winning team -- there so bad that not even their best team could win. If you ask me, I cant see WCGS succeed and be competitive with the current board members. TIME FOR CHANGE!!! Yes I am upset, and upset because when it comes to player injuries, there is no one on board to be found for questions or support regarding ASA insurance claims. IF YOUR A PARENT / COACH READING THIS -- CONSIDER ANOTHER LEAGUE IF THE ABOVE PEOPLE ARE STILL ON-BOARD.

We have been at this league for several seasons now and every season we say we are gonna go somewhere else and we always end up staying. but enough is enough. I have never been at a league where it feels the board is there for themselves and not for the girls. Worst league ever, the snack bar is never fully stocked, the bathrooms are nasty always out of toilet paper, paper towels and dirty/black hand soap. The people working in the snack bar do not use gloves when handling food and they are eating food at the window while handing out food. I once saw a worker stick a fry in her mouth and then hand someone their food, Not very sanitary if u ask me. The customer service is horrible, they don't know how to talk to parents , they are rude. They never have enough coaches or managers for the amount of girls they have, so once try outs are over and girls get picked for a team that doesn't have a coach or manager the girls are stuck on a team where a parent has to step up and coach. So basically a parent is forced to be the manager and he or she may have no idea what they are doing, and don't expect to get your money back because they won't refund your whole amount even though they haven't done anything with your money. This league keeps getting worse and worse. It is very sad to see the league in the position it is in, I have read the other reviews and obviously the league has not changed for the better in the last 5 years, something needs to change to make this league better, I have seen and heard a lot of people leave to other leagues, maybe if something changes the people that left would come back, I know I would.

Brought our son who had been playing little league and wanted something more competitive. Beware…read morethey have already their Allstars pre-selected prior to the season even starting. The same 10 kids that made it to Allstars the year prior made it again. Basically no one improved... for seeking a more competitive environment this was a disappointment! They should have told all the kids up front don't even bother trying because you won't even be considered for Allstars, we have preselected teammom and coaches kids already, thank you. Our friends had warned us but we thought maybe it was a one-off situation...

First let's start with tryouts. They were very unorganized, and didn't help my kid at all or show him nothing 3 quick pitches to him at the plate, guy who pitched was also announcing so he was just rushing the whole thing. Then we get a call from Josh, stating my son ended up on a team with no coach. So we were waiting for a coach now. Then once we got our coach, we finally got our schedule. And that was even more disappointing. They have my 5 year old playing games during the week at 7PM at night(yes 5 year Olds playing till 830 pm.) They do not provide anything for practice. No bases, no balls, no bats, no pitching machine( oh yeah it ain't tee ball either, it's 5 year Olds off a pitching machine). Very discouraging in all aspects. No support from the league at all, you on your own.

This is a decent league with enough semi competitive skilled players to make the season fun or…read moredreadful. This league wins T.O.C and All star distric every year but falls short once they reach section playoffs consistently Why? Because once they leave the lower less competitive leagues they have to compete against coaches and kids that have elite travel ball experience. It's not that LA Puente doesn't have athletes its just there are no travelball teams in LA Puente to offer kids the chance to see what it is to play very skilled kids and to develop themselves into higher level athletes. What this league needs needs too do is incorporate travel ball in the off season so, To build superior skilled players that can compete at the State, regional, and national levels. The prize for any little league is to get to Williamsport Pennsylvania home of The Little League World Series. Over the years this park has had plenty of talent to get there however, they just lacked the higher skills to compete against kids that have been playing travel ball their entire lives. There also should be a Rulebook an anger management seminars for all coaches and managers. There's more profanity thrown around that park than the baseballs themselves. Most of the arguments stem from coaches not knowing rules and the true interpretation of them. The winner of the league usually gets to be the manager of the all star team in each division. Games can be won or lost just by the knowledge or lack of the rule book. And in all honesty this park has the best snack bar in the country! The baseball fields are in great shape their maintained by the parks maintenance crew. The park is big with plenty of space to warm up before ball games. It's also a safe park with the sheriff's department constantly driving by or driving through the park itself. There has never been any trouble at this park.

They say it's for the kids but this is not true, if your friends with the board members they cheat while umpiring. T-ball is umpired by coaches from the upper divisions or board members. As I stated earlier if you are friends they call bad calls on these poor kids. They claim it's for the kids but what the kids see is cheating. It cost 200.00 for my 2 granddaughters to play but who wants to play at a park that is not fair. I would rather pay 200 for one kid to play at a different park and be fair. What is wrong with these folks at this park, for the price they charge why can't they hire real umpires. All divisions should have umpires. I don't recommend this park for activities. I thought maybe after 20 years things would be different but they are not.
