I have been relying on Rise Up Boards to take care of all my transportation needs for the past 3 years. Not having a car has been a personal choice for me, and thanks to the team at Rise Up Boards. I have been able to live a full life in LA without a car! Before there were Birds, before everyone was cruising around on an e-skateboard, Rise Up Boards started carrying them...for about 1/2 the price. A friend in the skater community recommended Rise Up Boards, and I bought my first electric skateboard from Marc in 2016, and I still use it all the time. This year Marc started carrying the speed demon electric skateboard and an offroad board. He collaborated with a reputable professional graffiti artist on the logo and I love that i am riding around with a board that's 100% original. Cruising along dirt roads through the canyons on my electric has been incredible for me. But best of all, this year I bought an electric scooter from him. Marc at Rise Up Boards delivers incredible customer service. I found Rise Up Boards on a Facebook ad that showed the electronic scooter of my dreams. I don't have a car in Los Angeles and was imagining an electric scooter of just the type that Marc showed in the ad. He was attentive from the start, delivering the scooter to my door and giving me the low-down on its operation. The price-point was wonderful. His follow-ups were genuinely curious to know how I enjoyed my scooter (immensely). As I looked over his site, an off-road electronic board caught my eye, and when he followed up again I asked after it. I purchased it today as (after a demonstration) and now it joins my fleet of smooth, silent electronic chariots. LA would be a happier town if we considered alternatives to our gigantic cars. Mixed experience. Mark showed up and was nice at first and delivered a SUP board, leash, and paddle. I was unaware that I should have checked for pressure dings, but the location in which we met would have made this difficult to check on. Please check picture of board that was photographed brand new... I took board out for the first session, and had a fin box collapse in the middle of the 2'-3' surf. I contacted Mark about the two issues, who said he would help schedule and pay for a repair. Then Mark disappeared and was completely unhelpful and unfriendly. I was honestly a little skeptical because it was Craigslist but from the moment I made my inquiry, they did everything to make the ordering process flawless. I am really happy with my paddle board. I have been padding for 4 years and have tried a lot of equipment. The board I purchased is really stable and fun in the open ocean. I'm a distance cruiser and this 10'6" board is perfect for me. And so many compliments! The wood grain finish is beautiful. A paddle and leash sealed the deal.
