RACIST...RACIST...RACIST. I called this establishment yesterday to schedule an appointment and was offered a 5pm appointment for 8/7/21. I accepted the appointment and the older woman on the phone asked for my name and number. I gave her my full name and started to spell it for her and then she immediately cut me off and told me that the appointment was no longer available. She explained that the appointment was filled and then paused. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and didn't want to think that I was being discriminated against because of my "black" sounding name. I said OK and asked for the next available appointment and she responded "Probably 2 weeks". I asked if she could please tell me the date and she responded " The 26th". I told her that the 26th of August would work and she then responded "hold on" and then hung up the phone. I called back a couple of times and received a message stating that the wireless caller was not available. I called a fourth time and the call went through. The same woman picked up the phone and I told her that we had been disconnected and that I was trying to schedule an appointment for August 26th. She sounded irritated and said " Oh yeah the 26th". She told me that they had a 10:30am appointment available and I accepted that time slot. This time she did not ask for my name, but she did ask for my number. I gave her my number and then she asked if I had a Venmo or Zelle account and I replied "Yes". My husband called 5 minutes after I did to schedule an appointment for a pedicure and to my surprise was offered the 5pm appointment for 8/7/21.The same woman that I spoke to answered the phone and scheduled the appointment. She asked for his name and number but never asked him if he had a Venmo or Zelle account. I was livid! I called them back and this time Brittany answered the phone. I asked Brittany about the 5pm appointment. I heard the older woman in the background yelling "It's filled" and then I heard whispering. Brittany told me that the spot was filled and started reading off the client's phone number, I told her that the phone number belonged to my husband and he called 5 minutes after I made my appointment. She told me that she didn't know how that happened and asked if he wanted to cancel his appointment just completely ignoring the discriminatory behavior. I cancelled both appointments because I refuse to support businesses like this and neither should you. This establishment does not embrace and welcome diversity and racism or discrimination of any kind should not be tolerated. I generally am known for setting my standards higher than most can meet let alone exceed. This salon and Tang and Mya treat you like family and exceed my expectations. They are careful with scheduling to let you enjoy the experience and not feel rushed. Make sure to make your appointment and live in that moment to let yourself enjoy your experience and revive and leave feeling fantastic. They go above and beyond with the bath bombs that smell amazing! They are perfectionistic and care that you enjoy the experience. It is more than a pedicure for me. I enjoy the conversation and still relax. It is definitely my staycation! Thank you Mya and Tang! I also forgot. I bring my grandmother. Love, love, LOVE Tang's! The place is amazing! Beautiful décor, clean salon, and the staff are out of this world! I travel from Merrillville to get a pedi and no-chip and it is worth every mile it takes for me to get there! Tang and her staff are friendly, accommodating, and go out of their way to make you feel pampered. I always make sure I have an appointment before going but I would do that out of respect for any business. Their time and mine is valuable and would not even THINK about just walking in without an appointment! I highly recommend this establishment and wish Tang all the success in the world! read more

Tang's Nail & Spa is a great place. We come from Chicago to get our nails and pedicures from her and her staff. We have followed Tang for years. We are so happy that she has her shop, she is an amazing person. Her and her staff are wonderful. They make you feel special and they take great care of you. I had a no chip mani, pedicure, and brow wax done today by Mya! I would recommend this place to anyone! Had great conversation and my nails were done with detail and she took pride in her work! Which I loved! Plus you get to pick out a bath bomb for your pedi in the scent you want. Sooo cool! CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!! A delightful nail salon experience! Clean and well appointed. You arrive to select a nail color, your choice from a basket of scented bath bombs for your soak as well as your choice from a variety of scented lotions. When you need to book an appointment in advance because they are always busy - it's a good thing! And if that's not enough, the prices are quite reasonable. Highly recommend. read more

Tangs is a lovely place to feel pampered. They require an appointment so no one has to wait or feel rushed during their time. Everyone speaks English and some are fluent in other languages as well. I stopped in for a No chip manicure and a pedicure. Tang's is a refreshing new twist at the nail salon! You start your salon experience picking out your own bath bomb for the water, your pedicure scrub, toe separator and sandal. Tang took good care of me and her staff are so pleasant. Called and made an appointment for Tang nail salon and was seen the very next day. The service here was excellent and the staff was super friendly. Tang took her time and made sure my pedicure was perfect, no rush job here. I was truly impressed. Just make sure you make an appointment because this place is super busy. read more

They suck so bad here they didn't do my feet how I asked them then I showed her the color I wanted she picked the color for me the shape she did was not cute at all and I payed $85 it look like a kid do my nails. I am very dissatisfied with my nails never again will I go to this place read more
