This is a family owned spa and the owners Andy and Amy are great always greeting you at the door. The reason I tried other salons is because they were short staffed and wait times were taking too long. You can always make an appointment but you still wait when you come. They have a VIP card service and after you spend so much you can use credit towards the next service! read more

I made an apt the day before and when I walked in I was seen immediately that was great but it went downhill from there. the person they gave me was new and she didn't know what she was doing when it came to my pedicure. not only was she rough, but she didn't know how to provide the service. it was painful getting the no chip off of my toes and she scrubbed my legs so hard that they're currently burning. when we were done she proceeds to wipe my legs off with a small black towel, wipe off the chair and then wipe my legs again. I grabbed her hand to ask her to stop and she assumed it's because I didnt want the toweling. the lady who did my nails sits in the first chair and I had to tell her to clip off the lifting part of my nail and to file the nail. there's no one in the salon so I don't know why she was rushing. I came here from a suggestion and it was not worth it. subpar work and not worth 85 dollars for the service. will not be coming back. waste of money. Oh she also called the lady who I complained about over to where I was getting my fillin and told her what I said. However, Nails Palace & Spa has never let me down. A friend recommended this place to me and Im very glad she did! But the language barrier is pretty extreme and makes communication difficult. Ended up having 3 people doing the manicure, pedicure and nail art (which I don't recommend). I wanted dipping powder and a leaf design on my ring fingers and also on my big toes. I chose no chip for my pedi. She tried to do a leaf design that I showed her on PINTEREST. She struggled with it. I told her it didn't look good. She gives me attitude and then says something in her Asian tongue to the other girls!! Then she aggressively buffs the design off of my big toe and says she can't do it and tells me she can't do a design on dip powder. WRONG!!!! I've had it done several times. She was just being lazy. Just left there with my daughter. I got a no chip and my daughter was getting a fill. The lady who ended up working on my daughter was rude. I'm not sure if she was mad she had to work on an 11 year old or what her deal was. She was talking down to my daughter and trying to up charge everything. Since when does a French cost an extra $20?! She told my daughter to quit moving at least ten times and all she did was turn her head. I really enjoyed this salon! I walked in and there was no wait. I had my nails done quickly and they look great. The tech never got up to tend to anyone else. (I hate that!) The place is pretty big and very clean. All polishes are up front, and there is a big fish tank. The music is soft and sets a relaxing tone. There are a lot of stations and chairs for the pedicures. There is also a giant chandelier in back and the sinks are clean with plenty of towels. The nail dryer station was quicker than i remember at other salons too. The tech told me there was a rewards card, which he handed me as i paid. You do have to register online but you get coupons and deals from what im told. Ill be going back!! read more

I was in need of a basic manicure so I stopped in Nails Palace. It was great that they were able to take me right away. The salon was clean and had a nice atmosphere however, I was TOTALLY displeased with my manicure. First, I noticed that she didn't completely remove all the old polish making it impossible to access my true nails. Secondly, her tools didn't appear to be freshly sterilized, and the file used was too worn to be effective. Nor did she shape my nails as I asked & they had to be redone. After that they were uneven. At that point I just wanted it over with. Thirdly, her technique wasn't up to par; it was awkward and abrupt. When she did my cuticles it was uncomfortable & she was shaking while doing my cuticles and polish. By far this was the worst manicure I've ever experienced. read more

I went here a couple days ago to get my nails filled with gel polish on top and so did my neice which got just a regular gel polish manicure! I get my nails done a lot! I'm from Vegas so I know what I want, how I want it, and what kind of service I expect! This review would have been 5 stars for me but I took out a star for my neices manicurist named Kim. Kim gave my neice a lavender color gel manicure with a white and gold ring finger. The one thing I absultlely hate is getting cuz and with her she cut my neices hand about 3 times. I'm pretty sure we've been all cut before on accident but 3 times in one sitting... That doesn't sound right to me. These cuts aren't just simple scratches they are really deep and started bleeding. After the cuts while she was doing the polish, my neice just asked to see the color before she put it on and she got a reply saying "well what do you need to see?!" I honest didn't think someone should reply like that if they are paying someone to get their nails done. Anyways, my neice left her alone and even tho it wasn't the color she wanted she just let her be and put it on. After a couple days... It ended up chipping so then there's that. Then there is Cindy! The absolute best! I believe she is one of the managers or a manager at this location. She did my nails which is an acrylic fill with a gold glitter and hot pink gel polish. She did a phenomenal job! She was very careful with my nails and also quick and efficient. I was done before my neice was. She shaped my nails just the way I liked it (coffin/ballerina slipper shape). I was very impressed with Cindy in general so if it is your first time coming there i definitely recommend her. Whenever I do come back to Chicago I'll definitely just go to her only! read more

I usually really enjoy coming here. The prices are reasonable for this area (I usually get my nails done in Oak Lawn and it's cheaper than anywhere near Mokena/Orland). Last time I went here, I came in for a no chip and fill in. I had a cut on my finger at the time and the nail tech kept pushing on it and sticking her nail in it when I continually told her that it hurt. The woman also didn't let my nails dry for long enough which was fine but after I left, I immediately got an indent in my nail polish. (No chip on acrylics). The next day, I lost one nail. It didn't crack off either it just completely fell off. Then, three days later another nail cracked right in half. I don't hate it here because maybe the nail tech was having a bad day, but I will definitely continue to go to Nail Lab and/or Angel Nails in Oak Lawn. read more

Place is pretty good for mani and pedi. I have no complaints there. They do a very good job. However, I went in for a lip and chin wax a few days ago and not only was it one of the roughest waxing experiences I've ever had, but it left me with cuts on my face. My daughter, Megan, and I walked in on a time crunch we only had 15 minutes for a manicure. Kevin and his assistant gladly took us both in sat us down and give us manicures. Kevin was so pleasant and easy to talk to. The service was excellent, the hand massage felt great and not rushed-even though we were in a rush. Megan had the same experience. I need to update my review since I now come here every single week for manicures and pedicures. I think I'm just difficult to please (especially) at nail salons. I can't seem to find perfection. Perhaps it doesn't exist after all. This place is pretty close though. My manicures last a full 6 days which is great considering I scrub my hands 1,000 times a day. My pedicures last months (even though I only let that happen once). They do an awesome job on polish here. The service is good and the prices are very reasonable. Stick to the basic pedicure if you are trying to keep cost down. The difference in service doesn't match the price on the upgraded ones anyways. You can also receive $1 for every $15 you spend on a reward card from the front desk. This is easily the cleanest salon I have ever stepped foot into! That alone is enough reason for me to come back here every week! read more
