I called…read moreto get an appointment as a first time patient (doctor recommendation) and the only available was two months out. I've waited this long, I can wait a little longer. Happily, a cancellation opened up a spot for me much sooner. I hurriedly filled out the requisite forms that were emailed to me, very convenient. The office is located in a small medical/business building that, fortunately, has quite a few handicapped parking spots. I was early, lunch time for the office, but was let in to wait which was very nice. I can't say enough of how lovely everyone in this office is. Very nice, accommodating and friendly. I felt very comfortable. I'm also very hopeful Dr. Rivera can help me with my health issues. For now, I am waiting on the results of a blood panel which may determine my diagnosis. Either way, there seems to be options on helping me feel better. Did I mention how wonderful everyone in this office is?

If you call to make an appointment expect to wait at least 10 minutes for someone to pick up the phone and when they do they are of no help what-so-ever. I waited over 6 hours to be seen in their urgent care on Saturday and on Monday, the urgent care doctor called me and told me to make a follow-up appointment with my primary care doctor and told me they set aside appointments just for this purpose and I should be able to get in that day or the following day. After more than 20 minutes of being on the phone I was advised that the soonest appointment with my doctor was 2 weeks out. I argued with the receptionist, then suddenly one week out was available. Frustrated, I drove all the way to my doctors office where the same receptionist offered me an appointment that day at 3pm with Dr. Tatum another doctor in my pcp's practice. What kind of gatekeeping bullshit is this? Push off your patients unless they are willing to drive to your office and see that absolutely no one is there and then offer an appointment? This experience made me realize this health group will not be there for me when I need them and now I'm looking for another health group to join. It's beyond frustrating though. I felt like I had a good relationship with my doctor but if they are going to hire terrible receptionists that don't care about their patients, its time to move on. I even spoke to a director there about my experience. I told the urgent care doctor what happened when I tried to make an appointment and she insisted I talk to the director, so I did. Outcome? nothing. Still can't get an appointment to see my doctor. Tomorrow I'm going to call my insurance provider and make a complaint. Not only am I being forced to make higher out of pocket costs, but my insurance carrier is being forced to pay more too.

Very good at diagnosing a problem quickly. I think of this woman often because when I went before and she did a very thorough exam. When she looked at my hands, she said I would have arthritis in my thumb and baby fingers. I thought she was crazy because there were no signs and no pain at all. Within the past few years, sure enough I have very bad pain, swelling in my thumb joint and baby finger joint. I had forgotten what she said till I noticed the pain... I should probably go pay her a visit. She is very good.

Once the doctor or NP appointment is over, the doctor will order my infusions or medications and says that Candace will take over from there. The front office staff are an absolute nightmare. Candace has been the worst to deal with. I will try to call to follow up on scheduling or getting my infusions approved and even with calling every couple days, I continuously get sent to voicemail and no call back. This goes on for weeks at a time. I will call a different extension and speak to Gracie and ask not to be sent to Candace, please give the doctor a message for me, and I get sent to Candace and no call back. It takes weeks to get an answer, medication filled or an infusion scheduled. After a while its seems like they screen their calls because I automatically get sent to Candace's extension and voicemail if I call any other extension, it's very frustrating. I have heard numerous complaints from other patients. We are sick patients, we don't feel well, we need to get answers to our questions and no one will help. We need our medication to feel better. This has happened numerous times throughout the years. Thankfully I have new insurance and can get away from this office soon. I have spent many a day crying because my infusions are cancelled or not scheduled because no one will call me back. I end up having to make an appointment with one of the doctors or stop by the office out of my way to get a question answered, every time I need help. It's so unprofessional. I have complained several times to each doctor and no apology, nothing gets fixed. It's really sad, because most of us have an autoimmune and just feel awful every day, and it's like it doesn't even matter to them.

I have had 2 appointments with her that lasted about 10 minutes each, I was in the waiting room checking in longer! This is some serious medical neglect here. First appointment she told me to get bloodwork done, did not listen to my symptoms or history. Second appointment, tests clear come back in 6 months if you worsen, bye! At which point was I receiving health care? She said I had no arthritis in my knees and hands and my inflammation markers were good. Of course they were good I was not having a flare up that dat otherwise Id be IN BED!! I have precious tests that show inflammation, which is why I was referred!! I just got my mri back from a few years ago showing inflammation and Degenerative disk disease which specifically causes INFLAMMATION!!!! She did absolutely NOTHING. Only took my money and shooed my out so she could move on as fast as possible! Its been 3 days since that appointment and my pain is so intense today! Horrible doctor, scam artist in a lab coat. She waited over an hour and never saw a physician. Only to be sent to the Emergency room hours later due to the cluster F^*) at this Escondido location. If we do not see a significant improvement to Graybill facilities, Sharp / Rees-Steely will be a much better option for folks needing medical services. Graybill feels like a cattle farm and IMO do not feel patients are getting the proper attention. The group needs the proper training on how to run a business. Stay away from Graybill. They do not deserve your business, and they certainly do not care if you move to a different provider. With that said, I will give Graybill 1 or 2 months to get their act together. I am not hopeful.
