The guy (owner) got absolutely unglued that I wanted to hold off on such a huge purchase while accusing me of shopping there in his showroom just so I could "go online" and actually buy it somewhere else. Such an angry little sad man. A disgrace. Later in the month I actually found a different vendor, same product line and was treated superbly. Couldn't have worked out better. They have some beautiful Hubbardton Forge - which is hard not to be distracted by - but also lots of beautiful lower priced lights. Great prices for what they have (I think. I've always been very happy). If you want a less expensive light - definitely go to Home Depot or .... we don't have one - but Ikea. ... But I think we've bought almost everything in our house from this place. I've searched the internet, Craigs List, eBay, other stores - but we continue to find ourselves back at Creative lighting. Today we selected (likely to space out with the actual buying) our bathroom vanity lights (two) and a fan for our living room. And pendants for kitchen. Incredible salesmen. Or as we refer to them: Brian and Chris. Brian definitely came to our house six years ago - and we still chat with him as if he remembers the layout well (I'm sure there was no flooring as we talked at length about the dining room / kitchen split challenge). I don't know if he actually remembers - but perhaps that doesn't matter. If you want to talk with someone about lights: go to their showroom. And tell them what you want. It's a great place.

I purchased a house 6 months ago. I expected to be moved in way before now. The process of…read moreremodeling and dealing with contractors as been extremely disappointing and stressful. Given this, I especially appreciate when I have a positive experience in this process, and when I do I want to make sure to let people know. Dealing with contractors can be extremely frustrating and hard so I want to help point people in a positive direction and save them the hassles I've had to endure. Given the recommendation of my electrical contractor, I reached out to Jennifer of Walsh Electric about a month ago to help me choose lights for my house. I admit, I'm not very focused on details like lights, so I felt like it would be good to have someone who knows about lighting to help me out. Jennifer has been great. She visited my home, took notes and a few days later was emailing me selections that were very much in line with the sort of things I like. When I have questions she can answer them. She is super patient (this is not my forte and she's been way more forgiving of my slowness and indecisiveness than I've been with myself). I also found visiting the lighting showroom at Walsh to be very helpful because it allowed me to see some of the lights she recommended and know for sure whether I liked them or not. My electrician just installed many of the lights I ordered and I'm loving them. It's been such a pleasure to have a positive and hassle-free experience with lighting options. I would highly recommend working with Jennifer of Walsh Electric.
