I think the general rule of thumb around these parts is that if you don't spend upwards of $150 for cut and color, you're doing it wrong. I don't know about any of you, but the way I find a new hair place (like anything else I need), if I see someone with great hair and a fabulous color job, I will ask them where they get their hair done. You'd be surprised at how many people don't bother to ask and wind up staying somewhere that they are not satisfied with. Of course, I was a little nervous, trying out a new place. Huntingdon Hair Studio is tiny; in fact, you could almost miss it if you don't know exactly where to go. I was immediately welcomed warmly and introduced to Peggy, who proceeded to give me one of the best color applications I have ever had. She also gave me an incredible cut, and all this for under $100 total. Highly recommended!

I used to go to a salon in Newtown which offered the same treatment but this experience was much different and more upscale. First, the salon is in a very convenient location with many other places to get errands done in the same trip. The shop is so clean and gorgeous! My technician, Jackie, fully explained how they perform the service, the products they sell to maintain the service at home, dos and donts, as well as their subscription plan. I had such a great experience working with Jackie, who was the nicest person, the product, which does not have an offensive scent, and the process of the application being so pleasant, that I did buy the once per month subscription. I am so excited about this! It is flexible and you can use your unused tan months in a subsequent month. It's a no brainer! I highly recommend the mitt addition before the solution is applied. It feels so good going on and it smells great. Another no brainer. I am SO looking forward to my monthly tan as part of my mental and physical wellness starting this year. THANK YOU!

The receptionist was super friendly and answered all our questions. When it was my turn, I was a little anxious because it was December, and I live in Pennsylvania. I was worried I would look like I just got off the beach; the beaches are closed this time of year, so if asked, I decided I would say I went to Jamaica for the weekend instead of the boring truth. I wish I had that money to hop on a plane and go anywhere for the weekend! You can wear a bathing suit or not, but the underwear must stay on. She told me a story about when they did not have that rule. Do I need to say more? My only complaint was the spray temperature. It felt like I was outside in a blizzard, chilling me to the bone. I would suggest they find a way to warm the tanning mixture because of that, and for that reason alone, I won't go back. My tan looked great, and I'm pleased with it, but the torture of the application kind of outweighs the tan itself. Go Glow was supposed to only cost $10 for the Grand Opening special, but I ended up paying $25 for the first-time fee. I had to purchase a cleansing glove, which cost $7, because I put lotion on my legs and arms after my shower that morning, so the $10 fee for first-timers is a stretch of the truth. I feel it's misleading and incorrect to lure customers under false pretenses. So, I think some people might not mind and even enjoy the freezing tan mixture, and the price is fair for a spray tan; I did not care for the tactic they used to get people in the door.
