I have since been listening to and reading the works of far more advanced (and warmer) sex therapists which opened my eyes to just how far off the mark this particular therapist is. Sadly, I think she is outdated, but escapes being noticed as such due to her direct 'style' of therapy. I think it disguises issues the therapist herself has and has yet to deal with. My entire experience here made the early morning wake up time worth it! I attended Adriana's Basics…read moreclass at 9am on Sunday and was immediately greeted by the front desk staff. It's always a little daunting going to a new studio (I'm a home practicioner myself so I don't go to studios ever!) so it was nice to get a little overview of the space. The studio does provide mats but there definitely aren't enough for entire class to come unprepared, so if you have one I'd suggest bringing it. They're lightweight Manduka, but a little on the slippery side. There's also filtered tap water, a couple of bathrooms, and loads of cubbies and hooks to put your things. The yoga studio is on the second floor, and they ask you to take off your shoes before walking up the steps, which helps keeps the floors clean. Adriana's teaching style is kind of like talking to a chill friend that knows about yoga. She gives corrections, cues that make a lot of sense for beginners, and acknowledges that yoga is a personal journey. I'll definitely be coming back and maybe even signing up for an unlimited pass!
