This was such a cute stop along the main street of cottonwood. Tantrum was recommended to us by a couple we met at another winery after we noticed that we had similar tastes in wine. SWEET. Their wines were all quite sweet and I would have tried everyone if I had the time. The mural in the back is amazing and even has the perfect instagram / photo shoot op. The bathroom was also pretty decked out. The only bummer was that because it's such a great place, it got crowded quickly and there was only one girl working (she was great) so it took a bit longer to get our next drinks. read more

Let me start by saying Jackie was amazing!! Enjoyed a tasting with her and enjoyed a couple of the whites which we took home. The reds were not our thing and the atmosphere wasn't what we look for. But I'm sure it is perfect for others. Just not my vibe. The only "turn off" is the owners aggressiveness in her responses to patrons that carried through to her funky sign in the restroom. I was hooked into this winery while I was walking by, when one of the workers was fixing a light on the patio and said, "You should come in! It's all about women in here!".... So how could I say no? My boyfriend and I came back for a late night tasting, and I was thoroughly in love with the wines. The flights were very affordable and generous. He got a red flight, and I got a white (even though I'm a red wine girl). We both loved all of what we had. My most favorite were the Toomi red and the Felicity white. The Toomi really was like poetry in a bottle... the notes were incredible and the finish was like smelling expensive perfume in an upscale jazz bar. It just really brought back good memories for me. The Felicity was tropical without being too sugary. I fell in love with it because it reminds me of a favorite wine from Mercury that just tastes like summer. We ended up taking home a bottle, and it was very reasonably priced. My Grammy tried their moscato and it was incredible. It was velvety, sweet and not overly dry and acidic. She went home with a 4 pack of cans. Overall, I definitely recommend visiting for a unique experience in Cottonwood! read more

We happened to stop in on a rainy afternoon. We were the only ones, but it soon filled up. As we were getting warmed up with a couple of flights a gentleman arrived and was playing live music. We really enjoyed him. They opened the doors and several people wandered in during our stay. Amara served us and was very attentive. She even took a few photos of us. Been coming to tantrum for a while and find their wines decent, but was recently shocked to find these photos posted by the owner. Comparing the recent pandemic to a Holocaust where thousands were murdered is incomparable, to having to simply wear a mask. It is also insulting to those families who were effected by the holocuast. I find it off-putting that she doesn't take social distancing serious, and refers to people and customers that do, as "Sheeple". Would make me uncomfortable to sit and visit. Do to this, I cannot come back and support a place that has lack of respect and understanding for those who may be vulnerable to the virus, or enough self awareness to know the difference between genocide/racial/religious oppression, and a pandemic. Edit/response: "Better keep her head down. Its worth the misdemeanor". Inferring violence/illegal action against a customer. Classy. For a "strong" women who doesn't "cower", its interesting that she doesn't want to show the pictures SHE posted herself. Ironic. My girlfriend and I randomly found Tantrum Wines during our Arizona road trip while we were looking for a place to eat dinner. Please note this is a tasting room so it's different than a wine tasting at a vineyard. When we entered, we were immediately impressed by the colorful furniture and walls. This is a great place to capture Instagram photos and also have a glass or two of wine alone or with others. Also, in the back, there's a design on the wall by Tom Fish, a lead animator at Walt Disney Animation Studio, and it's super cute. In terms of the wine, I'm sober but my girlfriend enjoyed a flight and Josie was very knowledgeable. We actually arrived right before closing and she still patiently went over some wines with us along with other local history. In terms of the flights, you can choose 4 wines for $10 or 6 wines for $12. She chose 4 wines and they were all nice. Josie took us through each one and gave a lot of details in terms of how it's made and the flavor profile. On the menu, you don't see a flavor description (fruity, tannic, sweet, etc.) of each one and that's on purpose so you aren't influenced before you try each one. After she tried each wine, my girlfriend decided to buy a bottle of the Cha Cha, which is a sweet wine, and it was around $30. We definitely suggest going here and checking it out. It has a great ambience, history, solid selection of wines, and a unique design. I do not support business owners who bully their customers for leaving below 5-star reviews. Her response to my polite and objective review is an unwarranted personal and unprofessional attack and due to that, I've changed my fair 3-star review to 1 star. I was really intrigued by the female-owned business, and wanted to do some wine tasting at Tantrum. Waking in, it was pretty quiet which was great- no wait! We ordered a 4-flight of reds to share. Our server was very friendly and attentive, coming around with the next wine to taste right when we were finished with the previous. The wine wasn't great compared to other wines we've tried in the area. This wine was all very fruity and florally; the Cabernet and Cabernet blend tasted like perfume. It's not a place I would recommend, but there were a few groups there that seemed to really enjoy the wine. read more

The WINES we experienced were delicious tasting both a White and a Red. The vineyard is located in Wilcox AZ and is the major producer for Tantrum Wines. The atmosphere comfortable and very hip!
