There's seating near the French doors and a small balcony overlooking the village--a lovely spot to sip some wine and take in the atmosphere. We opted for the wine sampler and chose the whites. I don't remember the exact price, but I do remember thinking it was a good value for the tasting. They also offer a discount if you decide to purchase a bottle from your sampler. Josh was our wine host, and you can immediately tell how passionate and knowledgeable he is about wine. He shared the history of Vino Zona and taught us quite a bit about Arizona wines and the local wine-growing regions. As someone who loves wine, I found it fascinating, and his easygoing personality made the experience even more enjoyable. The conversation flowed so naturally that before we knew it, our tasting was over. Josh really was an excellent host and a big part of what made our visit so memorable. None of the wines we sampled ended up being ones we wanted to take home, but the Bombshell Blonde was my favorite of the tasting. They have a nice selection, though, and I'd happily come back to try more. Vino Zona is such a quaint little spot to enjoy a glass of wine, good conversation, and some cool air before heading back out to explore Tlaquepaque. Definitely worth stopping in! read more

My tasting was $20 and included four small pours of Arizona wine. I went with the two reds and two whites. Sadly, none of the wines spoke to me; I found them to lack flavor. But I will say that the customer service was excellent. Our wine expert was very knowledgable about the wines, the origins of these wineries, and so much more. He even shared a bit about how wine making got started in Arizona. And he was kind enough to add a fifth free taste of a port wine with a piece of chocolate (very nice of him). The space is small, and not well air-conditioned, but does offer a temporary break from the hot, arizona sun. read more

Located on the second floor of the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, it's a very small uniquely designed place with great quaint window seating. Noelle greeted us with open arms, super friendly and knowledgeable about the organic wines she was presenting to us. The tasting is simple: 5 generous pour and some pretzels in a very relaxed setting for $18. All the wines are organic which I've never had. It was a great experience learning about how all these local wine makers produce their wine and the difference in taste compared to the mass produced wines. Found an awesome deal on Groupon for a wine tasting- we got to try 4 different Arizona wines and learn about their history, many of the wines are exclusive to Vino Zona. Our guide was super kind and didn't push us to purchase any wine, although we did end up making a small purchase. My favorite were the Firey Redhead and the Bombshell Blonde. Many unique wines, wine related gifts and art work are available here that you won't find anywhere else. Oh my.. where do I even start. Had the pleasure of visiting the Sedona location nestled in a very discreet location among other shops. When you walk in, you are not disappointed with the small and intimate setting. I was lucky enough to stop by when the venue was not crowded and I was able to find seating. Vicky greeted me with a warm welcome. For $18, you can sample 5 wines. Upon asking me my wine preference, I informed Vicky that I prefer sweet. Her responses was that she had me covered. I enjoyed every single wine I sampled. Please note, they do not serve food but provide some pretzels to nibble on. They also are dog friendly as the most adorable pet was enjoying the inside next to a bowl of water supplied by Vicky. Blame it on the coziness, Vicky's personally and/or the wine but everyone in the place quickly became friends exchanging stories. From some regulars from Phoenix, to couples from Vegas, Kentucky and Georgia, we all engaged in some great conversation. My heart felt full and I left with two bottles of wine. A most pleasant tasting room. We were early at Tlaquepaque for a birthday visit and we decided to try a tasting. Vino Zona beckoned from the second floor. We entered a cozy sitting room, and met a host who told us all about the specialty, Arizona wines. No food or charcuterie, no nonsense like that. Just wine. Seems like Arizona makes excellent wine, including the Vino Zona Sassy Redhead. Although the Sassy Redhead is named for the owner, it's a real wine. We were impressed. Vino Zona is a very cute and cozy wine tasting spot in Tlaquepaque. For only $18 + some tax, we were able to try out 5 different wines selected by the staff. For example, I mentioned I mostly enjoy Cabernet Sauvignon, so she created a flight of mostly reds. I enjoyed the wines the staff chose and enjoyed being able to try out other varietals from various farm-to-table Arizona wineries. My wife and I always visit this place when we drive thru Sedona. There's this one very kind and sweet lady there that makes it such a good time. However, this last visit we were greeted with a very rude employee. My wife and I share the same birthday and mentioned it to this hostess lady and her response was, "everybody has a birthday. Especially here." ...kinda came off very rude to us. Anyway, we walked out solely based on her attitude after looking very much forward to the experience. We like to think we'd be back, just never with that lady there. This review is for the wine, yes, but mainly for Noelle. We stopped in on a Thursday night for a quick tasting. I'm a southern Californian self-proclaimed wine snob and my boyfriend likes what's poured for him. We were both extremely impressed. They have varietals I've never heard of, so it was a bit of an educational experience for me. Everything that was poured for us was delicious, especially the Sassy Redhead. Noelle was pouring for us and was extremely knowledgeable about each wine, down to the vintners themselves. She was also hilarious and so attentive. She gave us the whole rundown of the history of viticulture in Arizona, tips and tricks for visiting Sedona, and some new techniques for tasting wine. We definitely could have spent more time chatting but she needed to close up for the night. If you're lucky enough to have Noelle working that day, take advantage of her knowledge and energy! They ranged from lovely whites, to red blends to a dry port wine. A cute, quaint little shop, the atmosphere is homey and cozy--the perfect environment for a wine tasting. Our host was really knowledgeable about all of the wines and did a great job describing the tasting notes we could expect from each one. He also wasn't pushy or salesy which I really appreciated, as you sometimes find in wine tastings. I loved that we were able to kind of customize our tasting, because neither of us are really white wine drinkers so we were able to go with all reds. And there wasn't a bad one in the bunch! We LOVE coming to Vino Zona when we are in AZ. We have met the wonderful woman who runs this shop a few times and she is so knowledgeable! This is not an intimidating environment but instead incredibly welcoming. They offer wine tasting, which provide you with a good variety of wines. In our experience, a lot are local to AZ, which is wonderful. You are also able to purchase wine in the store, and i believe they also offer delivery. I was hanging out in Sedona checking places out and wanted to visit a shop in this crazy mall (is it called a mall??).
