Fried red snapper, rice and beans, fried plantains.
    Love C.

I was visiting from Washington and Im always on the hunt for caribbean food. Usually, I will do Jamaican because Haitian food is not something and I can find. Lo and behold and Checked and here was Tap Tap. It sooo good! We order the red snapper fish (my absolute favorite), fried chicken and Griot. The rice, sauce, piklez, everything was like being back at home In my Mom kitchen. Plus, as Haitians we are naturally welcoming as the owners were.

The food here is absolutely delicious. We stopped by on a whim and everything we ordered was completely finished by the end of our meal! We chatted with the owner as well and he was lovely, and really cares about the food. Highlights for me were the whole fried fish, legume, and rice and beans. 100% worth the visit.

This place has amazing food and service! I had diri ak sos pwa and legim (rice, bean sauce, and stewed vegetables). It was so good I thought I was in Jacmel. I also went back for passionfruit juice which was delicious. The two folks working were incredibly kind and attentive. I can't wait to go back!

    Fried Plantain

I order the fried plantains. The service was really good. Very nice guy. The food was amazing so delicious right very warm and comforting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only thing I would recommend to make the place better would be some music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great food! My first time trying Haitian food. Service was great. I just wished it felt more like a dine in experience though.

Wow, just wow, we came for a 4:15 dinner which I thought was a joke, but it was hard to get later…read morereservations and I really wanted to come and bring my parents and our baby. Oh goodness was this great! What an experience from when you walk into the door til you pay. Just a treat. Maybe one of the best restaurants in the country. The space is bright, alive, loud, and fun. It feels like Haitian fine dining should feel. Everything about it evokes Haitian vibe from the colors to the noise to the smell. Then comes the cocktails, these were out of this world amazing! Just everything tasted so well balanced while being so beautiful at the same time. Cocktail kings over here! Their equivalent of an espresso martini is maybe the best riff I've ever had on an espresso martini. Somehow this restaurant is entirely gluten free, you would never expect that from the buns you are served, they are plantain based, but are brioche goodness. The crudo was great, the cauliflower the best version of Cauliflower I've ever had, the greens were so tasty I'd become a vegetarian for them, and the rib so good that I could never become a vegetarian, haha. Truly every dish was amazing, and the flavor party never stopped in your mouth. It feels required to get a baked Haiti, so we did. It was good, but not the pinnacle of the meal by any stretch.

We made our way through 4 dishes, from appetizer to desert, and were very happy with our selections. The service itself was absolutely outstanding. Contrary to some other reviews that we've read, we found the prices to be in line with the quality of food and service as well as the portion sizes. We left quite satisfied all around. Great job!

I was hosting my sister's birthday party at another restaurant that I won't mention and our reservations were not acknowledged so we had to find something last minute. I called tap tap and told them I had a party of 10 people and I would be there in 15 minutes. They set up a table for us and greeted me when I came in. They were very attentive and even stayed open late so that we could sing happy birthday. They allowed me to bring in all my decorations and put the cake in the fridge with no questions asked. They quite literally saved the day. I will definitely be back for the grilled Pompano fish. 10 out of 10. highly recommend.

I have driven passed numerous time and didn't think of checking this place out coz' the exterior was rather nondescript - goes to show "don't judge a book by it's cover". Food- was excellent and tasty; may be a tad spicy for some, but they have many selections that are non spicy. Also, for the plant based and diary free community, this is great place for they have a good selection of non-meat option. The service was great, the staff were friendly and attentive. We had to wait a little bit for our food, and that could because it was a busy night. But our food came out all at the same time, which was nice. If you're thinking of having a romantic outing, this may not be the place. The restaurant was rather noisy. But you can go for the awesome food, and get an after dinner drink or nightcap somewhere romantic, like we did. I would definitely go back, and I would recommend that you go, too.
