I went in and got an awesome pedicure and then also had a massage booked. The women who did my massage I don't think usually works there, I will say in the spas defence. She did not ask me any info on what type of massage I wanted and didn't have me sign or do the paperwork you usually get to give some background info or areas of concern. The room was very cold there was no spa music playing or relaxation oils. The massage itself was very light and awkward. I did ask for more pressure but didn't get any and she kept bumping into things in the background . I felt this person just may not have had a lot of experience. She didn't have an eye mask for me and had to leave the room to go get one , she also kept bumping off the eye mask and eventually she just left it off. I left with a head ache and felt I needed a massage after my massage. I went home and took some Advil after the massage due to my headache I want to say that generally I love su Casa spa ! And will keep going again for other treatments but would unfortunately would not recommend a massage by this person :( I feel bad even writing this post but it was actually that unenjoyable I felt compelled. In general the massage left very disjointed and not professional.

Then, I walked to the front desk, and another extra 15 minutes later, I was told that another lady (who was having mani / pedi at that time) responded that, for some reason, she said yes to their question: "Hi, are you XXX?". Unfortunately, the business was packed for the holidays so they could not re-schedule me until the end of December. However, the biggest reason I chose not to go back to the place is that I did "overhear" them saying that I was mistakenly booked for NOVEMBER 19, 2014 (instead of DEC 19, 2014). But, the owner decided to blame the "other lady" (as above). The owner mentioned that she's sorry ( she wasn't apologetic AT ALL) and offered if I wanted free service. I refused. I understand the owner is trying to leave a good image of her business. Also, the "other lady" was finishing up her pedicure when I arrived at the salon at 12:10 P.M. and was beginning her manicure while all of this was going on, so I definitely knew the owner was not telling the true story. What actually happened: -Used it successfully only three times. -Next three visits (during posted hours) the salon was randomly closed. The first 2 times had no notice. The third time, just a sticky note saying "understaffed, appointments only and to call the Sechelt location. -I called asking what was going on and if I could get a refund or extension since I tried numerous times to use my package. It's only for a month so I only have so much time to use it and when the hours on google are posted as OPEN, I should be able to access the beds. Owner Lauralye replied by email, said I was being aggressive on the phone and banned me. Completely false information. I never even raised my voice so this one threw me for a loop. When I kept asking for my money back, she permanently banned me in the same email thread. They offered a partial refund which was never received. I left a 100% factual 1-star Google review with receipts attached they got it removed/hidden. Now they are leaving themselves fake google review. Laughable. When I kept pushing, they threatened me with legal action and accused me of being "aggressive" (I have every email -- I was nothing but polite the entire time). Zero refund, zero apology. So yeah - they have no problem stealing people's hard-earned money, then threatening to sue you if you dare speak up. I cannot believe I have to go through this for ninety-three freaking dollars that they simply decided to keep. I have my receipt, and the entire email chain (including the ban, the legal threats, the fake "aggressive" accusation, and the deleted review). Happy to privately show everything to anyone who messages me. Please think twice before you hand this place any prepaid money - tanning packages, gift cards, whatever. I've now had to file with Civil Resolution Tribunal (CRT) and my credit card company for a chargeback. Just posting this so nobody else in Gibsons loses almost $100 and then gets threatened for daring to complain. Sad that it has come to this but I have exhausted every option and tried my best to deal with this privately. Unfortunately I have been pushed too far. It's almost Christmas and these days, every dollar makes a difference. This is my hard earned money after all. Support local... but not when the local business keeps your money, deletes your review, and threatens to sue you for telling the truth.
