My fiancé came to get a haircut and beard trim, off the bat the guy gave him a face hesitating about the beard trim instead of saying he doesn't specialize in beards. When we left to walk outside i noticed he lined up his mustache incredibly low giving him a 90s brow line on his upper lip and the lines on his beard were so noticeable slanted and uneven I had to fix it getting home. The fade on his haircut was barely decent but the trim at the top was so chopped up, it was bad. A week later we came to a different barbershop and the barber noticed how bad of a job he did too. Unless you're getting a straight buzz or barely okay fade maybe check this place but save your money and go somewhere else if you want it styled right. read more

Do not go here!!! They gave me a fungus on my head. This barber shop gave me a big rash on the back of my head that turned out to be some type of fungus because they don't clean their clippers. It was the owner who cut my hair, too, and he did a crappy job, rushed through it, and still charged me 30 bucks.....On top of all that, it took me months to get rid of the rash; I even had to throw away all my hats. I called at 5 asking if they had anything open for a beard trim. They said they were closing at 6 so if I get in before then they could hook me up. Well I show up at 5:45 with the doors locked and two guys in their cars outside leaving. Not sure if they worked there but I mean if they did would've been cool to let me know you were closes rather then just look at me get out my car and pull on a locked door. Anyways just Change your hours on yelp and don't claim to be opened till 6 if you locking your doors and leaving 15 min Had to add the pictures since the owner claimed I was lying. First one is when I called in and he said he would take me before 6. Second pic is when I called after checking the locked door. And the third pic is the owner calling me a liar. Good thing we never did business because I will never be returning anyways after your rude message. If your claiming it was 6 already then obviously the clocks in your establishment are off. My 5 yr-old Son needed a haircut, and my regular Barber was closed for some unknown reason. So we came into this place just a few blocks from my house. Parked, and walked in the back door. I guess your suppose to use the front door, because we got some puzzled looks from people as we walked in. Both Barbers were giving haircuts. Took a seat on an empty barber seat and waited. They were all having a conversation together, with some mild cursing going on. I understand that this is a Mens Barbershop, and that some cursing comes with the territory; so I didn't mind at all. Just a fair warning that if you are sensitive about that type of thing, you might want to go elsewhere for a cut. We were going to just get my Son a #3 fade, but he was scoping out all the different kids haircuts on the wall. I asked him which one he liked, and he pointed at a kind of faux-hawk look. Then he asked if he could get that haircut. First time had ever had an opinion of how his hair was cut, so in the spirit of individuality I told him yes. As one of the Barbers finished up, we were able to scope out the front waiting room. PS3, pool table, couches, Lizard mascot. Chill spot to wait for a haircut. Dude called us up, and I pointed out what my Son wanted. Not only was the haircut done the way my kid wanted it, but the Dude did such a great job that it ended up better than what we expected. My Son was holding still enough to use the razor to line him up. We chopped it up with this Guy, and at this point, no cursing was happening. My boy was stoked about the haircut, he wanted to show it off all day! I think I will bring my little boy here from now on, and I will have my teenage Son try this place to see if he likes it too. This is my second time coming here. It's always popping here from what I can tell, but the cuts are pretty quick, so the wait won't be too long, but don't expect some 10-15 min turnaround per cut. They spend time to make sure cut is quality, but at the same time are as efficient as possible! My first cut was a few weeks ago and I had it from the barber who cuts on the furthest right chair in the back. Unfortunately I forgot his name but he gave me a real fresh cut with a clean lineup and fade. He even styled my hair up nice. Better than I ever had it done before. Today I got a cut from Chuy, who cuts at the chair closest to the door. I got bald fade with a combover, and as I'm getting cut, I can tell he's taking his time to make sure every spot is taken care of. The look and feel of the cut is perfect, and it's one of the best haircuts in a while. I've been looking for a spot to regular, and tried several in the Loma Linda area, but they were all pretty bad. This place is consistent and well worth the price and more. Not related to the haircuts or staff: the music is hype and they have a pool table! They accept walk-ins and that's how I got my haircuts both times. the first cut I went from the door to the chair without waiting, and today I waited 15 mins which is pretty good considering there were 4 people ahead of me, and it helped that there were 4 barbers working at the same time! I started going to TaperZ, back on December 30, 2013, after I got out of a year stay in a medical center. The barbershop was the closest, to my house, only about 1/2 mile away! The first time, I went, I think Luis, cut my hair! Compared to other barbers, Luis worked on me, at least 45 minutes+, and even used a straight razor, and shaving cream, to cut the sides and back, of my head, to create a straight hair line, which allot of barbers don't do anymore! I felt like I was getting, my time, and money's worth! I like the haircut, and have been back at least 4, or 5 times since! It is easier to cut my hair, which grows fast. He uses a #6.5 clipper attachment, for the sides, and lower backside, and a #8 attachment for the top! My hair then, is cut "evenly", and feels good, and looks very clean, when done...not to mention cooler, in the Summer months! Their bright "yellow" building (looks like it colllided with a psychodelic banana truck), doesn't look like much, but they sure seem to do a nice hair cutting job inside, at a standard reasonable price, and have anywhere from 2 to 4 barbers! What makes TaperZ totally different, from other barbershops is, that they are open, "7" days a week! They also have a flat screen TV, and a pool table to keep you entertained, while waiting for your turn, if needed! Plus, They sell hair cutting equipment too! Genuine people. My boy Chuy is the one i went to from day 1. Never really let anyone cut me up except for my brother, then i moved out to Colton and came here. Great place! I try and come once a week to keep my hair looking sharp. Cuts are very affordable, barbers are very friendly and give me a perfect cut every time. Ilish is awesome he spent 45 min fixing my sons hair, fixing every spot to where it faded perfectly he made his hair the best its ever looked. We ended up coming here because my mom tried giving my son a haircut on monday and the poor kid ended up with a huge patch in the back of his head it looked AWFUL, I had to take him somewhere before we went to this BBQ for memorial day, I ended up here because of their great reviews and I'm so glad I made the decision to go here, the staff is great they're all real friendly and the shop is designed nicely to keep people happy while they wait.
