I had such a hard time finding a good place to get a haircut since I moved out to this area. I was looking for a nice barbershop with someone that could take the time to work with my difficult curly hair. I saw some of Eileen's work on IG so I reached out to her. She was very responsive and very nice. When I arrived I explained what I was looking for and she understood my vision right away. I can honestly say she gave me the best cut I've ever had. I came back for a second cut later and she remembered me and the exact details of how I wanted my hair even though I had only been there once before. GREAT customer service and an amazing cut. Parking was easy to find and the atmosphere was mellow. Not overly busy. I was able to get in on a Sunday with almost no notice. I highly recommend this spot and PLEASE go see Eileen. I came in at around 9 or 10 am and the place was pretty empty. The shops interior is bigger than what I expected, and very clean. I was tended to by Javi, very nice and thoughtful guy. Took great care of my hair and made sure to confirm everything I wanted and what tools I would be okay with him using. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and got exactly what that. He was also able to explain everything I asked regarding my haircut, and I left with a great experience. Will be coming back from now on. Mike will hook you up! This shop is surprising nice and clean for a place in Downtown San Bernardino. There is a big TV inside and a random foosball table. He also has a good selection magazines for waiters. Like most places, wait can be long sometimes. Shop only takes appointments on Friday and the weekend, so I try coming in around 1-4 to avoid the lines. That would probably be my only complaint: wish they took appointments throughout the week. Since I can't always do appointments and I'm short on time, I've had my haircut by 3 different guys at the shop and they have all done a good job. Went in there today for the first time, the person who normally cuts my hair was busy so I had to look up another person for a haircut ASAP, found mike on yelp after reading the stuff on yelp I decided to give this place a try. Haircut was awesome and as he was cutting he was super friendly and humble. I'm glad I came here. I'll start coming here on the regular. Place clean and had the air conditioning blasting which is always a good thing especially with these Southern California high temperatures. One thing that you should be aware if your reading this review, yelp will tell you he's open at 7am but after speaking to him directly about that he opens at 8:30 on saturdays. I've been coming to SB Cuts for over 3 years and this is hands down the best place to get a haircut. Ive been to other barber shops in the area and I can definitely say SB Cuts is the best. The owner (Mike) is a super friendly and genuinely kind person, especially to new cuatomers. Mike puts a lot of work into his haircuts and works with you to find a hair style you like. The space itself has been recently remodeled to add a school, but the shop is still open Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays to cut hair. There have been times when the wait for a haircut has been pretty long, just because Mike puts a lot of time into his haircuts and there's a lot of people waiting. However, you can call ahead and schedule an appointment. On top of that, Mike recently hired another barber to cut hair. So wait times should no longer be an issue. I found this place on Yelp it has a good rating but lack of reviews made me weary of new places especially in a place like San Bernardino where quality is almost always second or last: The place surprised me, the owner was congenial and cordial, talkative but in a charming manner. I'm not a huge talker, but he was always easy to engage. If you use this business and like it you should leave a review! The owner took nearly 30 mins on my hair, slow and detail.
