They are so sweet! As soon as they saw the kids walking in they turned the tv on to cartoons and turn the popcorn machine on. They have toys, coloring and a little table for the kids. Took my 1 year old son to get his first haircut and Jessica was so nice and patient with my son. My older son is too scared for haircuts at the moment but hopefully seeing his little brother and daddy get theirs done a few times here he will be ready to try it. read more

Brought my two year olds who HATE having their haircut. We were sitting outside before going in and Mike came out to greet us. He told us there was a small kids area and popcorn that we were welcome to. We gave full disclosure on how the kids would scream, wiggle and cry throughout the process but he assured us that was fine. Mike and Teddie were our hairstylists today. They did an amazing job despite the kicking, screaming, and crying. They were so patient and kind. On Aug 1 I sent this establishment a message on their Facebook page. I see it was read but never responded to. I wanted to understand what happened that day so I didn't make lasting assumptions. Since I didn't receive a response I'll post what I sent them here. Hello owners/operators. I'd like to get some clarification from my experience today. I was a bit frustrated and before I take it personally I'd like to understand. I have a regular barber in Redlands I've been going to for years. As I was passing by your shop today which I'm somewhat familiar with since I have eaten at the Thai place next door for years. I saw that you were doing haircuts on the sidewalk in front of your shop. As I pulled up I noticed your price was $20 a cut which is double what I normally pay my barber. But I am a big believer in supporting local business and since I've never got a cut with you guys before I wanted to try it out. Today is Saturday, 11:30 is when I arrived. As I walked in front of the store looking for a chair one of your barbers who I don't know if he's the owner or not told me they were not taking any more clients today. He told me to come back Monday. I asked what time they normally close, and he said they're closing early because it was getting hot. Walking back to my car I did notice your normal closing time is 3 p.m. but I understood because of the heat. Trying to figure out what to do with my day, I sat in my car for maybe 10 to 15 more minutes. A gentleman pulled up next to me and got out of his truck and approached the same gentleman cutting hair who just finished his last client. It looked as though he was asking to get a cut and seemed to be disappointed and I was assuming he was being told they were closing. But then to my surprise he was asked to take a seat and he was subsequently being served. A few minutes later another gentleman approached and walked up and was able to sit in one of the chairs to wait for a haircut. I'd like to understand why it was that I was turned away when these two gentlemen were able to get their haircut. I was told that at least on Mondays it's walk-in so I assume the same is true every day. Sorry for the lengthy description, but I'd like to understand why I was turned away when two clients after me were able to get their haircut? read more

Second visit this morning. Just as pleasant as the first. Nice big comfortable area, very friendly staff (and customers), great movies playing on the screens, and fresh popcorn every day... all that in addition to a great cut at a fair price. I can't imagine barbershops get any better than this. read more

The older gentleman who cut my hair Went way to short on my side and I didn't even ask him too. I asked for a zero low fade and now my side is uneven. The side of my head hair is going to grow back unevenly and this has never happened to me. I hope the owner reads this reviews. read more

I have gone here for years! Mike runs a great barbershop.

I recently took my 11 year old son here for the first time to get his haircut before Thanksgiving, the lady in the first chair all the way on the left cut his hair. My son has issues staying still, unfortunately the lady did not appear to have patience that day and was struggling with him moving so much. It got to the point that I saw her pulling on his hair to reposition his head. On top of this treatment I asked her to cut his hair short on the sides and just long enough to spike on top. While she was cutting his hair I noticed it was still too long so I asked her to take off more, she rolled her eyes and looked at the barber next to her and then started being more aggressive with my son. Needless to say I stopped the hair cut and unfortunately I paid her, which she absolutely did not earn. I told her I did not appreciate her pulling my sons hair and she did not do the haircut I asked her to do. She said she would fix it but there was no way I was letting her put her hands on my son again. I had to take him somewhere else and pay again to get his hair fixed. I don't like giving reviews like this but I felt like I needed to protect other children, especially if they have special needs. read more

This place is a good find it seems. We've brought our 4 year old here for the past year, so maybe 6 times now. He has gotten cuts from at least 3 different people and they all seem to do a good job. We used to take him to one of those fancy kids hair places, but the cost was outrageous and the cut was equivalent to what he gets here so it was a no brainer to get a good cut at a better cost. The location is good, right off the freeway and even as a walk-in we've never had to wait. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because of the hours and it's honestly not that they have horrible hours, they just close kind of early for the average work week (5:30), close at 3 on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. read more

I have taken my son to this place for over 4 years. He is old enough to drive himself. It took him a whole to find the right cut and barber for himself. It happens to be Julian a young gentleman at the shop. He is pleasant, professional and patient. Even if it's past closing time and he is in the middle of the cut, he won't rush it and makes sure the cut is done right. He always asks to make sure if everything looks good to the customer. We have had other barbers there, but Julian is exceptional. The atmosphere is pleasant with playing older movies and popcorn. I recognize this place. read more

"Best" Little Barbershop, yeah right! I was new to Redlands and looking for a shop. The word little and best caught my eye. Usually, a little shop do better than the bigger shop. Attention to detail, consistent cut every time, but they failed to do just that. ATM fee is ridiculous, the price [$12] is somewhat worth the mediocre cut. The shop seems to be geared towards 60+ customers who doesn't care about the quality of the cut. I went there twice to give them a chance. First time, the old man on the third chair did my hair...meh. The second time, first chair barber cut my hair...meh. I could have done better with my own clippers. These folks doesnt even know how to fade, HAHAHA. read more

FIRST VISIT: I brought my son in who has sensory issues and asked if they could give him a cut without the use of the electric razor. I was assured they could. So I brought him in and a man provided the haircut. The haircut started out fine, but about halfway through, he grabbed his razor and tried to sneak it close to my sons head, like he was sneaking up on him, he looked at me with a sly grin, like if he did it in stealth mode, my son might not notice or something! He noticed!! We paid and left. SECOND VISIT: Well, I thought that I would be smarter this time and leave my son in the car (he was a teenager) and go in alone first and request services to save him embarrasment, and to ask for a haircut without the use of an electric razor. I asked for a woman, and began to explain that he had sensory issues and also motor tics, and she assured me that she would take care of him. I went to the car to get him and bring him in. When we came in the door and she saw that he was a tall teenager, she laughed loudly and exclaimed "OH MY, I thought you were talking about a 6 year old!!!" Worst place ever. read more

I can't speak on the atm reviews but overall every review here is accurate after my ONE cut. Can't speak on consistency but this place did not strike me as the place I would go to get a fade or something newer/trendy. I walked in here after work on a Tuesday at about 5pm to find two older gentlemen sitting casually and watching Kiss Me Deadly (A 1950s Film Noir). They casually greeted me in the same way a friend would, nothing over the top. They said a barber would be out in just a moment and within maybe 45 seconds a red haired lady walked out ushered me over and cut me up. She looked over my hair style (A classic side part) and offered some pointers and buzzed away with casual conversation that put me at ease while I bantered with the two other gentlemen about the movie. When I read about the way a barber should feel and see pictures of old B&W barber photos this is the place I think of. An unassuming hole in the wall to get a good classic cut. Will DEFINITELY be coming back. read more
