Meanwhile he's deducting a nice 10-20% discount on the value of the silver?? I'm handing you essentially cash, I expect cash in return. Especially when I'm giving you silver at a huge discount. He comes back with a 10-20% quote lower than the price of the silver. I begrudgingly agree. Then he pulls out a check book and writes a personal check and hands it to me. Huh? Where's my cash?? This is like going into a bank, handing the clerk a $100 bill and asking for change, then being asked to provide your drivers license which they copy, then being handed $80 in 4 personal checks of $20 each. What a joke. I'm giving you silver. Give me cash. It's bad enough I'm taking a huge hit on the silver. I drove TO YOU to give you silver at a 20% discount, the least you could do is give me CASH. No worries, I sold it on Craigslist for full value. The buyer was happy to pay spot price and not some marked up 20% price by a PAWN SHOP.

I had a diamond encrusted diving watch that they couldnt take (it's scratched to heck and not worth what I paid now, not their fault, I wore it constantly). They were able to do the complicated resizing for FREE! It fits again so I just have to send it out for a battery replacement. We took my 6 year old son there and while they were resizing my watch he asked if they had any square coins. One of the gentlemen went into the back and came out with three coins from Aruba. When I asked how much he told me they were FREE since they were for a young numismatic collector. My son has autism and this meant the world to him!!! I will definitely be returning to sell more metal! They treated us like family. I wish more local coin shops were like this.

I went to Sparkles Jewelry in Macomb to repair my wrist watch. They replaced the guts or mechanism…read moreinside wrist watch they said watch would work like new like when I purchased the watch. It seems to work fine for 3 years but then I thought it stopped. So I went back to Sparkles Jewelry to see what they could do for me scene I had them repair the wrist watch earlier. They told me that wrist watch is out of warranty. They would have to have there repair department take look at it again to see what the issue is, they said that they have to replace the mechanism again. It would cost another $170.00. I refused and I took my watch to Taj Jewelers and told them what is going on. They sent it to their repair department they called me to say that the wrist watch was ready to pick up, when I went to pick up my watch they told me that there was nothing wrong or broken, I was not winding the watch enough, (it is a self wind) so I guess I'm not moving enough for it to keep the correct time. So the Jeweler recommended me to, when I'm going to wear the wrist watch to shake the watch back and forth for a few minutes to force wind to help wrist watch keep the correct time. They didn't charge me anything. I'm glad I went to a different Jeweler to take a second look at my wrist watch because Sparkle Jeweler wanted another $ 170.00 and Taj Jeweler charged nothing (0) and told me what I'm doing wrong and how to remedy that problem.
