Grube's Dairy Farm operates out of Mohrsville, and recently began operating a small country store a couple of years ago, right across the street from the former, water-damaged borough hall in Shoemakersville. Make your way down the little alley next to the white house with the "Grube's Dairy" cow sign, and the parking lot is on your right. Grube's Dairy is the country store that Shoemakersville needs, since the departure of Boyer's left a void in which Shoemakersville residents now had to travel to Hamburg to go grocery shopping. Enter Grube's, the little store that could: offering their incredibly delicious line of LOCAL (I repeat: local) dairy products, delicious PA Dutch Nelson's Ice Cream (Nix Besser!), locally made "Pure Wild Tea", miscellaneous grocery items, and new for 2015: a full deli! If I haven't convinced you yet, I strongly urge anybody who prefers local, quality products and small businesses to check out Grube's Dairy.

The yoga session itself was fantastic, and the baby goats were the stars of the show! I smiled more in that hour than I have in a long time. It's impossible to be stressed, unhappy, or take yourself too seriously when baby goats are climbing on you and demanding attention. We booked the Amish farm fun combo $30 per person 1.5 hours. We got there early so they put us on…read morean earlier time. However what they put us on was the regular Armish farm fun $22 per person for 1 hour. The difference is the combo one includes gardening and barrel train ride. But anyway, we realized it as the tour ended after one hour. We didn't bring it up since my children actually wanted to leave because of the hot summer heat. I will recommend the $22 basic tour. It was packed with action and after one hour, my kids had enough of the farm ( we also visited the miniature horse farm next door before this) and long for AC. The tour started with a hayride around the farm, about 8 min ride. Then we went indoor at the animal barns to cuddle: chicken, ducklings, bunnies, kittens, piglets , feed Cheetos to pigs and watch them go down the slides, bottle feed the cows, milk a cow and collect eggs ( pick one up and put in a basket). It was fulled of actions. Strongly recommended this $22 basic farm tour. While you are waiting for your tour, you can kill time by playing at the playground ( under full sun) or go indoor to the corn box for free.

I took them back recently, as they're about to turn 6 years old, and this was the perfect age. There are a variety of experiences you can do here. We did the standard farm tour that includes a 5 minute wagon ride, where kids can drive! And then you go to the farm. On this last trip, there was a little confusion on the tour portion. I think they didn't realize our whole group was waiting. I ended up going up and found someone who managed to find one of the Amish women to give us a tour. On the tour, you'll see baby animals, feed the horses, bottle feed a calf, see baby chicks, and pigs. Then at the end, you can reach under chickens and pull out eggs from the nest. My kids could have stayed here all day. They also have a playground on site, tricycles, and a little shop where you can buy dairy products. Definitely worth a stop here!

Got to talk to them at the end of their THREE HOURS of making enormous bubbles for the festival. They do public and private events. This is a local business in Malvern, PERFECT for any outdoor get together, hot or cold, kids or adults (because seriously, these jumbo bubbles would create a dope team game after a few adult beverages). I asked if they'd sell me any of their secret ingredient bubble formula... they will, but it has a shelf life of about 2 weeks so call them and they'll make you a fresh batch! In addition to their special HUMONGOUS BUBBLE formula, they use two fishing poles with chains between them to make country style prizewinner bubbles! And I'm serious, pop one of these and be ready for the suds spray! But totally worth it for the fun! The kids went WILD for hours. It never got old. Parents too could not resist, and they had a total height advantage, but I can't blame them, this was a pretty special experience. I can't emphasize enough, these are 'roid bubbles, not your average encounter. I was impressed at the arm strength of these Bubbletopia peeps, and they had smiles on their faces the whole time, watching the fun they created. They were so happy we enjoyed, and told me to check out their website for upcoming (public) events. I'll be there!!! And I'll be passing their card to everyone too!

Dry laid back and it was a private party area with a separate air conditioned and modern bathroom. They offered a pool option for an additional hour if we wanted it. The pool looked good and wish I did it. My friend ended up doing the pool and it was a completely tailored to her liking so I think they work with you. She had a certified lifeguard who really did watch the pool closely. And helped with tubes and swimmies and things. Highly recommend. They have been in business 52 years and it shows.

It was cool to see many people of all ages enjoying themselves on a beautiful day. There was a band while we were there and we enjoyed listening to them while we ate and drank our beers. I'd like to go back to see how their beer rotations change; they didn't have some of my favorite styles, but still was able to find one I liked! Picked up summer vegetables earlier in the season that were fresh and clearly local, and came back in the fall for the fruit -- really good quality. It's a genuine, family-run farm market, not a manufactured "experience," and that makes it worth the visit. Great spot for fresh produce and a fun fall outing.
