Selection is very limited with just a few Tex mex choices (tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc). My choice of flautas with Mexican rice and refried beans was decent. It's tucked into the side of a building, that also houses the Supermercado Mexicano (once you see this sign, you are in the right place). Once we were in the parking lot, we found a "street vendor, outside the restaurant, who was selling tacos (the tacos will have to wait for another time), but as we walked by, the jamon (pork) made my mouth water. We walked in and were seated immediately. The menu was written in both English and Spanish and there was quite an assortment to choose from. They had a Spanish music video station on the big screen and the decor was styled loosely after a Cantina. We ordered Coke products and they came in bottles, which I think tastes much better than fountain drinks. We both ordered Fajita platters, but honestly, we could have shared one. The Plato Azteca, came with steak, Chorizo, onion, Chile bullfighting and 2 sides. The Carne Asada, had a grilled steak, but no Chorizo, and the same sides as the Plato Azteca. The chips were made from fried tortillas and were much thicker than the most of the chips that I've had from other restaurants. The salsa was mild, which is fine with me. Our meals arrived on 2 large platters and there was a lot more items than what the menu suggested. We both had rice, refried beans, salad, 2 grilled chiles, 2 grilled onions, meat, salsa, guacamole, pico and tortillas (IT WAS A LOT OF FOOD). I really enjoyed the rice, lots of flavor, moist and definitely not over cooked. The first grilled chile was mild and tasty, I let my confidence get the better of me and I took a large bite of the second chile, and it lit me up (the sweats only lasted for a couple of minutes, LOL) lesson learned! Her tortillas were hot and soft and they were small enough to be manageable. The food was very authentic and fresh, we will definitely be back. One problem you may have if you are like me and have trouble hearing when there is music playing a little loud, I had to have the waiter repeat himself several times to make sure I understood what he was telling me.
