Lots of potential, but overall a mixed bag. The good: salsa, chicken fajitas, refried beans, cleanliness. The bad: service, ambience, and chips!!! Worst chips we've ever had. They are trying hard frying flour tortillas, but the execution was really bad. They were all chewy and inedible. If they just had some standard corn chips we would have felt much different. There was no music, or noise. Super quiet and weird. Our server never came to our table after they delivered our food. We needed refills and other stuff but never got it. Tried to catch her eye but she never looked our way. Had to flag down someone else to get the check. The salsa - really good. Great flavor yummy!!! Same with the chicken fajitas. I've had better. It was two pieces of bone in chicken. My aunt had the enchiladas and said they were Ok. I feel the place has potential so I would try it again. However, the margaritas were NOT good! We had dinner there about a 3 weeks ago with friends. Steak fajitas were tasty. Not sure if those were refried beans, though. My husband ordered the chile rellanos but didn't like them and wouldn't eat them due to the sauce it was smothered in. He asked the server about it and was told it was some kind of chipotle sauce. We tried La Poblanita Saturday night. As soon as we walked in, we could tell we were in for an authentic experience. The decor and live music set the mood. The music seemed a little loud at first but everyone was talking loud and I guess we joined in. It felt like we were joining a family party. We started with margaritas which were generous and delicious. The salsa was tasty and fresh. I had carnitas and my boyfriend has carnitas en salsa verde. Both were delicious with fresh ingredients. Our server didn't speak English well, and my Spanish is poor however, we made it work. The chips and salsa that came out was not spicy but it had a very good flavor. My margarita was delicious and it almost tasted like they put orange juice in it which I like. My mother got the Pollo especial and she loved it. It wasn't very spicy again but it had great flavor. I got pollo la crema chipotle it was not as spicy as I'm used to. However, again, the flavor was really good. The prices were very reasonable and everything came out super quick. We also went to their grocery store across the parking lot and found the prices there amazing and got some great deals. Will definitely go back. read more

I visited with my two teenage sons for lunch and we were all very pleased with our meals. They had the salmon ciabatta sandwiches and I had the veggie ciabatta sandwich. What a find! We visit HHI at least twice every year, and we ate at the same Mexican Restaurant (won't name it) where the drinks were fantastic (if you lucked up and got the right bartender) and the food was OK. This time, while I was on Yelp, I looked it up and the ratings and comments were pretty ugly. So, I found La Poblanita which had only good comments, and upon going there we found that this place is fantastic! Everything was delicious from the salsa (which is usually bland in a lot of places) to the entrees. Everything was fresh, seasoned perfectly and with levels of flavor not found in most places. Prices were reasonable, portions were ample and service was prompt, polite and attentive. It's not glitzy, but it's very clean and bright, and not dark like many restaurants. I have been a customer since the restaurant opened and never had a complaint. To night, I just came to have a nice dinner after a long day of work, and the owner came to sit us to a little table for 2 but with a round table attached to it, it just felt uncomfortable so we moved to the next table and the owner came to tell us that we couldn't sit there. We explained to him that we felt uncomfortable, and he just looked to us like we had a third eye on our face. Is that how you treat a customer?
