Excellent queso and guacamole - lots of great lunch choices and the portions at lunch are giant - the dinner portions are gianter (lol - larger)! Excellent food and friendly service and convenient!

Favorite place to go for some good tacos, GF quesadillas and view of the marina while sitting outside. Drue was our server and he was fantastic! 10/10 recommend

We came back for more! I only have a picture if devoured food. We don't eat chicken, beef or pork so we had black beans and corn salsa instead of refried beans and rice. The Chile relleno was good, but the salsa, chips, nachos, cheese enchiladas, black beans, corn salsa and spinach/mushroom/jalapeño quesadilla were awesome! The jalapeños definitely pack a punch so good easy or order without if food gets too spicy for you. The portion sizes are excellent and plenty for leftovers, too. The service was great both times. I wish we could take this restaurant back to California with us.

Everything about this restaurant is wonderful! The food and service is great along with the view and live music. There is a large outdoor patio and some seating is first come first serve. There is a happy hour daily and live music nightly. We enjoyed the margaritas, nachos, salads and wonderful salsa! The kids quesadilla was a hit! We went three times while in town and would highly recommend!

San Miguel is good. We had the chicken fajitas, fajita burrito, and El Presidente combo. My fajitas were served sizzling hot. All of our meals were pretty good. The atmosphere is a cozy Mexican restaurant, and the service is decent. This restaurant offers inside dining and a HUGE exterior dining area. My only criticism is that it's hard to find parking.

The restaurant is located on the harbor with great water views. The service was outstanding with everyone we encountered so personable. Now as for the food it was fantastic and so satisfying. There was live music available and if paying cash a small discount on the bill. I would highly recommend to try this on your next visit. No reservations, first come first seated.

We shared a chicken and shrimp fajita. It came out piping hot with steam rolling off of it. It was really good and hit the spot. We sat outside in the evening g and it was hot outside but their overhead fans kept us somewhat cool. They had a local band playing on stage which was nice. However, our server never came back out to check on us after taking our order, until the check came. Would recommend for a good night out.

This place had really quick service! We were seated quickly and they brought us chips and salsa fast. The salsa was good, very onion heavy. I got two tacos with nothing on them only ground beef, and double rice. They were really good and exactly what I wanted. My group also got the kids nachos with ground beef ( the cheese sauce on them were heavenly), the taco enchiladas combo (so so good the enchiladas were so amazing) and fish tacos (delicious!! The chipotle mayo sauce was AWESOME). Definitely would come again!

Review is of the bar and drinks. We had a chill post rain evening at the bar with great Margaritas. I had the Cadillac Margarita (made with Grand Marnier) and frozen strawberry Margarita. Both were delicious and went down too easy

Great place! This location in hilton head sets right in the shelter cove. It sets right on a marina which creates a very cool atmosphere. If you are in the mood for Mexican while you're here, this is the place. Like most Mexican places you get chips and salsa. I must say that this might be one of the better ones I've had at this type of restaurant. It was unique and very tasty! My meal was the three tacos with chicken as the filling. They were very filling and tasty! I am glad I got these as it was a good meal. The service was pretty good. No issues and it was efficient Overall this was an outstanding experience. Between the atmosphere, the food, and the service, this is a place that really hit all the marks. I'm glad I was able to try it.

Hilton Head Island has seen some changes in food offerings in the last decade, but fresh and new American fusion isn't common. Enter Chow Daddy's. With two locations (the other in Bluffton) we hit this one on Hilton Head. It's a risky place to put a restaurant, buried in the back plaza of a nondescript but high-end shopping center deeeep in the wooded neighborhoods of the island's Southern tip. If you're staying elsewhere on the island, you'll find you have to pay a small fee to access Sea Pines but many people do to get to the Salty Dog Cafe as well. While it may not get a lot of visibility, it is definitely worth seeking out for the very good Latin American cuisine being offered. Out party of five arrived on an August Friday evening after making reservations and were impressed with the cleanliness and upscale minimalist vibe. Dark booths and Edison-style lighting are offset by the daylight let in by picture windows. There is outside seating in the patio (very pleasant in the shade) and a small bar open off the host area. Inside seating is large enough for bigger parties of 6-8. Definitely not a post-beach day place, but perfect for date night, or more dressy family dinner out. Service was quick and talkative; we enjoy chatting beyond food with out severs which makes the experience even better. Apps and mains were delivered quickly with good presentation. We started with the fine fresh corn dip - extra tortillas were helpful to get the last bits. Mains included a fresh and well pattied cheesburger, mix-n-match tacos and two specialty bowls - cajun shrimp with spicy fine fat prawns and an Ahi-tuna poke style bowl. The rice in both was excellent and the portions were perfect. I'll try to un-hide this hidden star with this review and encourage you to seek it out if you live on "HHi" or make your next visit. Rare 5 star from us.

I came here with a bunch of friends from my undergraduate research lab while we were in Hilton Head presenting at a conference. We had rented a condo to all stay together and this place was in walking distance, so we headed over. I don't remember what all everyone else got to eat, or much about the service, but I do remember it was a total vibe. Beachy decorations that were fun but still classy and not too kitschy, warm lighting, good music. I ordered an item probably not even on their menu anymore: pulled barbeque chicken on a hunk of spicy cornbread with a side salad. I checked online and it's nowhere to be found, but it slapped at the time, and from pictures it seems like you can still maybe order their spicy cornbread at least, which was the best part! It had a great cakey texture and some legit heat. The chicken was succulent and tender and the smokiness paired well with the salad. It seems Chow Daddy's enjoyed a decade of success after my visit so long ago. I hope the temporary closure listed on the Yelp page doesn't turn into a permanent one. It was a pleasant surprise to be reminded of this visit and my time with friends.

The Atmosphere & Vibe The energy here is infectious. Even though it was packed for trivia night, the layout keeps things feeling social rather than cramped. A standout feature is the outdoor seating area--it's incredibly charming and comfortable, complete with cozy couches, and a beautiful statue and fountain nearby, to add a relaxing backdrop. I'm already planning a return trip for warmer weather; the restaurant has these giant garage doors that look like they open the entire space up to the patio. I can only imagine how cool that "3-wall" indoor-outdoor breeze feels during a meal! Service & Speed Despite every table being full, the service was impressively sharp. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the food came out remarkably quickly. Usually, a Friday night rush means a long wait, but the kitchen here is clearly a well-oiled machine. The Food & Menu The menu offers a fantastic variety, ranging from authentic tacos to more elaborate signature entrees. Everything we ordered was delicious--fresh ingredients, bold spices, and perfect presentation. Had to pay for chips and salsa, ( unlike other Mexican restaurants ) but it was optional and worth the three bucks. Bottom line: Whether you're there for the trivia, the fountain-side lounging, the margaritas, or just the tacos, this place delivers a top experience.

During the wait, they kept us informed many times of the status of how long our table would be. And when I say "they" it was mostly the manager, I don't know if he was the owner or manager, but you could tell he cared a lot about the customers experience. He checked on us several times, and was so helpful to the staff, seating tables, running food, and doing everything a good manager should do. Our server was also fantastic, she was helpful in answering all our questions and dealing with a hungry large party during a slammed night. The food was so much better than we expected! My husband loved his big fat smothered chimichanga, the crèmea sauce was phenomenal. I loved my smoked chicken taco (bowl) with added pinto beans, so delicious. My mother loved her verde enchiladas, the cheesy verde sauce was to die for. Everyone loved the food, and the margaritas were also delicious. I'd definitely recommend here if you're craving a sports-bar atmosphere with delicious Mexican food. Thank you!!!
