We stop at the court often, but this was our first time at Taqueria. We ordered 2 burritos, one with chicken and one beef. Service was quite fast. The food had good flavor and the burritos were a decent size. My only real issue was with the chicken burrito. The chicken used was so saucy that it leaked out over me and my car as I was trying to unwrap it, and once opened half of the tortilla was so saturated with the liquid that it was extremely messy to try and eat. Great food, great service, and quick eats! The food cart is located in the Sandlandia Food Cart pod just off Highway 26 in downtown Sandy. The food cart pod offers portable toilets and a covered seating area. There are a few parking stalls in the pod area but it's easy to find street parking. We've come for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and there's usually a line. Somehow, you still get hot, delicious food, fast! We love their tacos and burritos. I love that you can order the breakfast burrito all times of the day. Can't decide on a breakfast meat, ask for a combination of breakfast meats, yes, you can do that! They offer a variety of meats: steak (carne asada), shredded beef (desebrada), fried pork (carnitas), spicy pork (al pastor), chicken (pollo), beef tongue (lengua), chorizo, and vegetarian. Pick your meat or veggie then pick your vehicle- quesadilla, taco, enchilada, burrito/ burrito bowl, tostada, nachos, or a torta. We're always happy with the steak, pork, and chorizo. When you dine at the pod, there's bottles of salsa at the tables. If you're doing take-out, you can ask for an assortment of salsas. Ahhh this Taqueria hits the spot! The 5 star rating is legit here albeit the small sample size. For $2 you can get TJ style street tacos with a choice of meat ranging from carne asada, pollo, adobada, shredded beef, al pastor, and even beef tongue! Their hot sauce is also HOT and all spice levels were very tasty/unique. There were 4-5 other foods trucks to choose from but consistently, this one was getting all the attention and it was probably how good the food was and the price point which was just a tad cheaper than all the other trucks. Not to mention, they get the food out quick. My friend almost settled for the Mexican restaurant just across the street but thankfully I was able to persuade them otherwise by pointing out that not a single patron was inside there and this place maintained a 5 star rating. Needless to say, my friend thanked me after and dared to admit that they'd make a trip back her just for the food here lol. read more

Unfortunately they close way too early most days, and aren't all open at the same time. This is another way Sandy is missing capitalizing on its popularity as a tourist stop.
