We have ate here a handful of times, mostly getting there breakfast sandwiches. This was my first experience getting a breakfast burrito, I was just a bit disappointed that it got soggy super fast and had a bunch of grease or oil that was streaming out of the burrito, seemed a bit excessive. read more

It took us a while of passing this place to finally stop, and I can absolutely confirm it is worth pulling over next time you're in Sandy. Not only are the prices amazing, the guy we've most often seen working the counter is so friendly, and the food is killer. The waffle tacos are so fun and a crazy bargain for a lot of food ($4 each and you could get easily get away with just eating one), and the breakfast burritos are PACKED with deliciousness. I've never really enjoyed breakfast burritos with potatoes in them because I find they get soggy quickly, but these guys have really cracked the code on keeping the potatoes crispy and delicious. read more

I didn't get a picture because I ate it right away but the burritos and other breakfast items here are creative. Waffle tacos, breakfast sandwiches piled high and priced nicely. But they are known for their breakfast burritos. I ordered the first choice (I forget the name) which is bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, cheese and your choice of sauce - please, please please choose gravy. I say that because they put the exact right amount of country gravy in the burrito so that we could eat it on the road without making a mess and the gravy was delicious. I can't imagine this burrito without gravy actually. It would just be a run-of-the-mill breakfast burrito. The gravy puts it over the top, way over the top as my new favorite. Egg is the primary ingredient and potatoes enhance it. The burrito was perfectly seasoned too. This is a burrito that you would never need to add hot sauce or salsa to every bite like most breakfast burritos. The guy in the truck was very nice even though we were the only customers for a while due to the rain. The price is right too. Recommend! read more

Always my choice when I hit up the food carts and they are open. Staff is very friendly and the food? The food is awesome!! The Black Diamond burrito is my go to. It's super filling and flavorful! On our way to a weekend hike, we stopped at this food cart pod in Sandy. Breakfast in the Hood was happening, with folks waiting for their food, good smells coming out of the cart, and a smiling employee making conversation. We ordered the 'Cross Country' sandwich (mushrooms, spinach, onion, tomato, eggs, cheddar) and the 'Binder' burrito (eggs, onion, mushrooms, spinach, tomato, potato, cheddar). Both came out with a short wait and were tasty. Their menu has a few other vegetarian options and one vegan burrito that I'd like to try. They also have a drink menu including mimosas! Some outdoor seating like a picnic table, and a small covered area at the other end of the pod. But mostly folks take food from here to their car for the road. What stood out was the staff - in addition to making conversation and cracking jokes, they gave me a complimentary piece of bacon for my dog to enjoy. So sweet! read more

Sad to say there was a ginger looking hair in my burrito and i didn't have a very pleasant interaction with the cashier considering I tipped. I was only wanting sauces as the people before me were able to get theirs in to go containers. I was very excited on trying this place. read more

It was kind of too much for a quick breakfast actually but of course such good value. I called shared and grabbed it when I got there. I've been here 3 times and would normally be here more regularly if I lived closer. Alas, because it's a ways away-- I always stop by to treat myself to a wonderful breakfast. The breakfast burrito is our family's favorite. Fresh, hot ingredients cooked perfectly with the best condiments combinations. Service is always excellent. Never had a problem with ordering or receiving items. Honestly, this place is fantastic and if you haven't yet - definitely stop by. It is a food truck-- so outside seating/ standing, but it does have other food trucks nearby and a picnic style seating on the side. Cons: Parking is limited and watch out for traffic. I've been wanting to try their food for a few years now, some sites say they open at 6:00 so I got here at 6:05, it's now 7:20 and they're still not open, I wouldn't reccomend visiting unless you want somewhere to eat the food you got from somewhere else read more

The portions are large. The breakfast burritos are massive but awesomely good! The fried chicken sandwich is crispy. Service is quick but, it gets busy quickly so there can be a small wait. So we usually grab a beer or mimosa and enjoy the outside seating. read more

Absolutely delicious and so filling! Arrived shortly after 7am on a Thursday and were the only ones there. Staff was really friendly and lively for such a cold, early morning. Food came out super fast and oh so warm. Ordered the vegan burrito and holy cow! Tofu scramble, house made sausage, and breakfast potatoes were perfect and so tasty! So big and so filling I was only able to eat about three quarters of it. Really getting a good bang for your buck here. Really glad to support this local spot! Wow! I'm so glad this food cart exists! My husband and I were driving from Portland to Bend, by way of Highway 26 and through Sandy, OR and near Wy'East. As we were traveling through the rain was in full-force, but was grateful that this cart was still open in these conditions. And, I haven't had a good veggie burrito in a really, really long time, but this place was off the charts, and had veggie sausage in it, avocado, etc and it was just warm and perfect. I wish I had more room, and the weather was warm because I was really curious about their ice-cream Tacos!! I will be back! read more

Okay, so this one was a completely spontaneous stop. I was on my way to mount hood for a hike and I see this adorable food cart set up. I could not pass it up and I am so glad I didn't. THIS BREAKFAST BURRITO WAS EVERYTHING. The hash browns and bacon were crispy, the sausage was tangy, the eggs were soft and cheesy. The breakfast burritos are amazing and include tater tots and soft scrambled eggs - recommend the veggie Binder and the Black Diamond with bacon and sausage. Really reasonably priced ($7 or $8 and addition of guac is only +0.50). It's very popular in the morning and lines can be long so it's preferred to go for lunchtime. Staff is friendly. read more

Enjoyed a great breakfast burrito here before hiking in mt hood. Nice little food cart pod to stop at on your way up the mountain. They offer a good range of choices from meat to vegan. Can't wait to try their biscuits and gravy. Don't be in a hurry though. Expect about 15 minutes. read more

When the four realized that Sandy Oregon was far from saturated on the breakfast food front they hatched the idea of the Breakfast in the Hood food truck. The location of Sandlandia is ideal. Father in Law passed away right here in Sandy Ore and we found ourselves dealing with his estate and eating out 3 times a day. We each tried a different burger our first time here and they were both amazing. We tasted each others burgers and still agreed, awesome. The following day we went back and I got 2 Cowboy Burgers. That was it, we were hooked. I went there almost daily and kept getting 2 Cowboy Burgers and yet I always had to say, my name? It's Rob/Robert. lmao. These burgers are so damn fresh and tasty. I can only have gluten free foods due to allergies, so that made my options even more limited. Thankfully, this food cart had cheesesteak fries! I had them add their grilled pickled jalapeños to them as well. It. Was. Fire! Such a huge portion. They were beyond piping hot. So, it was perfect for a cold rainy day. It hit the spot and beyond. I scarfed almost the whole thing all by myself and was full for hours. Definitely daydreaming about these now as I sit here starving before I eat dinner.
