This past summer, I stopped at the food cart pods on the way back down to Portland, after hiking/walking around Trillium Lake. It had poured rain the whole time I was at the lake and continued dumping down when I was way too hungry to wait till I got back to the city. I'd always wanted to stop at the food carts all those times I passed through Sandy...but was in too big of a hurry. Because it was pouring down rain, a only a 2-3 carts were open. I can only have gluten free foods due to allergies, so that made my options even more limited. Thankfully, this food cart had cheesesteak fries! I had them add their grilled pickled jalapeños to them as well. It. Was. Fire! Such a huge portion. They were beyond piping hot. So, it was perfect for a cold rainy day. It hit the spot and beyond. Found this food truck in the middle of downtown Sandy, Oregon near that famous donut shop. It was in a food cart pod with about 7 other food trucks parked in the area. There were two ports potties on the lot. This cheesesteak food cart was so good! Everything was very flavorful, especially the chipotle sauce; I would easily buy a bottle of that in a heart beat! The fries and sandwich were piping hot when the order was ready and it was just all around good comfort food on a cold fall day. The person working the window was also so nice! I've eaten here several times. Every time it's been great. I love a place that is consistent, especially as others cut costs. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size. The foods is really good from the basic burger to the various cheesesteaks. They have all the many options and frankly it's way better than any of the brick and mortar stores in Portland that I've tried. They are friendly as well which is a nice bonus. read more

Our normal truck was closed on Christmas Eve, so we decided on some cheesesteaks. Always a good alternative. The service was friendly, and they have a nice selection of sandwich and fry options. We opted for 3 "meals", which included a half sandwich, small fry, and can of soda. My daughter and I got the regular steaks, although she opted for rosemary (Parmesan, olive oil, and garlic topped) fries. My husband chose the mushroom cheesesteak. The cheesesteaks were served up piping hot, with a decent amount of fries. The fries were all cooked perfectly, and my daughters rosemary option were especially tasty. As for the cheesesteaks, while they were certainly good, I'd consider them average in the taste department. In my humble opinion, larger chunks of peppers and onions, more spices, and a toasted bun would've elevated the taste a bunch. This place is phenomenal! Hands down the best Cheesesteaks you are going to find anywhere near here. We recently moved to Sandy and this is one of our new favorite spots to grab lunch. The meat is tender and flavorful, every bite is chock full of flavor because they cut their veggies smaller to ensure each bite is an experience. And the bread they use is so light and tender, so good. My two favorite sandwiches are the Jalapeno Popper one and the BBQ Bacon (add jalapenos for more yum!) both with Provolone cheese. Glad I found this place. First visit to the food carts in Sandy, and hadn't had a Philly cheesesteak in awhile, and this hit the spot. I had the Jalapeño Popper: non-traditional, but definitely retained a thread of the original while adding a little spicy and sweet. I could've gone for a little more on the spicy, but this was very tastefully done and I'd guess spicy enough for most. I was also really stoked about the fries. Thick, skinned, lightly seasoned and served steaming hot with a side of ketchup. The 1/2 sandwich combo, which was more than enough to feed me, also included a soda, and they happened to have Dr. Pepper and it all just fit together. The folks behind the counter were pretty nice, too. Highly recommended if you find yourself hungry driving through Sandy. Fantastic little place! My husband is a cheesesteak fanatic and he was not disappointed here! The cheesesteaks are large and full of meat, and the bread itself is delicious! I got the bacon ranch cheesesteak and husband got original, both were fantastic! I paid more to try the Cajun fries and me or my husband couldn't stomach them because they were way over salty and seasoned, but I have no complaints otherwise! The buns are perfect, they don't fall apart and they hold everything without too much mess. Choice of cheese and toppings and my son ( who really is a chef) says the grill is perfectly seasoned and it makes the meat and toppings perfect. They also have fries that are crispy and can be seasoned many ways. New to me anyways they are serving ranch to table burgers (smash burger) as a single, double with sauce or deluxe with lettuce and tomatoes and sauce. These are textbook smash burgers that are thin and have crispy edges with American cheese. Truly awesome and only a few miles away. Everything is still hot when I get home. read more

I love that they offer the traditional style of Philly cheesesteaks with liquid cheese! The menu is simple and easy. Smart for a food truck. But the sandwiches aren't dripping in flavor. They are even a tad bland. More salt and fat please! And maybe a chicken option for non beef eaters who tag along with their red meat eating friends. Great addition to Sandlandia though. Everything was delicious but I felt like the price of $15 for a full sandwich was a bit steep and the portions of meat are not as big as one would expect based on the pics they have posted. First off the service and the people are great and super nice. I believe the quality of the ingredients is pretty high. This is just my opinion but I believe they fall just short on their execution. And I have given this cart multiple times and they are consistently bland is all I can say. Once again only my opinion but the cheese steaks are just under seasoned. Just even a little salt and pepper on the steak would do wonders. The kind lady who runs the truck always has a treat for my dog and a kind word. When I recently lost my glasses there, she even scoured the parking lot for them (and actually found them!). So here's the deal, it's a pretty decent cheesesteak. I've had better, I've had worse. Their food seems very fresh and it's well made. I had the mushroom cheese steak with provolone. Tasted great. I would have preferred the bread to have been toasted. Because it does get soggy towards the end. I also got fries and a side of cheese sauce. The fries look like they're hand cut, and they're well salted. Now the cheese sauce on the other hand was grainy, tasted like there was a heavy hand with maybe some jalapenos in it, and it's very very orange. I'm not sure if it is pre-made or if it's something they make, But I wasn't a fan. I would definitely go back for a cheesesteak sandwich, But I would avoid the cheese sauce. read more
