A different waitress came to the table , I told her that there was no guacamole , she said "tostadas don't come with guacamole" I said , I ordered the TostaGuac . She walked away . Then , the female manager comes . All of this .... Over guacamole . The guacamole I ORDERED . Why ?? Why couldn't the MANAGER say , "Oops . I'm sorry . Must have been a misunderstanding in the back . I'll get you a new one." No . That did not happen . Instead , I am told to leave and not come back . I am so sorry for asking for guacamole . I'm so sorry I wanted a new tostada . I should know that my requests are outside the norm for a Mexican Cuisine restaurant . For future I will remember to just accept what I'm given , to shut up and "just sign the bill" . I have ordered the salads with chicken, and last night I had the Korean bbq chicken sandwich. The chicken was so tough I couldn't bite through it. I tried to cut it up and it was even hard to eat with a knife and fork. I left most of it. The server was obviously very busy, so the service was extremely indifferent. She never asked us if everything was alright. I sat with an empty water glass and wine glass for 20 minutes. My plate was full when she picked it up to clear, and she didn't even notice. After the brown lettuce and green egg on the salad I had the last visit, I swore I wouldn't be back, but my friends are loyal customers. I think the cheap happy hour drinks keep them coming back. I kind of thought the nicer tables would have been saved for folks that made reservations. The waitress took forever to take our drink orders. It took forever to get the drinks. We ordered our meals when the drinks came so we could try to get ahead of the curve. The soup/salads came and before we could finish, the main courses started coming out. This really upsets me. Take forever to take our orders and then rush us out the door. Dinner rolls are available, but one has to ask for them. It's in very small print on the menu. Why the server can't ask if the diners would like bread is B.S. I know their method saves them money, but I think they could change their practice and still keep the lights on. The prime rib was tough and not very flavorful this time. The server didn't bus any of the salad or soup dishes, so the table was an overly crowded mess by the end. I remember this place as a child and I'm a GenX-er. They have outdoor seating which adds to the ambiance. Beautiful street, near the theater, music, and year round entertainment. People can take a stroll after you eat. Exactly what I would want if I were visiting a small town in NW Ohio and for the locals. The kids love it too. It has that combination of home, nostalgia, modern niche feel. Even if they expand, I hope they always keep this location. Love, love, love this place! Right up there with Kora's, Season's Bistro (someone better buy it and bring it back bc losing that one hurts), and Third Rail. Places like these are what makes Bryan, OH.
