I posted this on fb back when this happened. I forgot to add it on here so here it is finally. Grand Plaza has to be the biggest joke around Bryan, OH. Over an hour waiting for our food when they're not busy even. I have to stand up and head to the bar to get our server to even give us attention. Our table is covered in empty bottles and glasses. I ask for a manager after it hits an hour after we put our order in and a half hour later, still no manager. Food finally comes and they don't even have my order right. read more

Great taste and the sauce on the side was fantastic with a little kick, which made it great. Chips are good and salsa was tasty. Good choice of beer even though I stuck to the basics. Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident while in town on business and enjoyed an excellent dinner on a chilly Monday night. Being from Dallas, I know me some Mexican food, and this was the real deal. I had the chicken fajita tacos, while my husband enjoyed a large carnitas platter. Only wish we'd left room for dessert, since the selection of homemade goodies sounded amazing. The owner even stopped by our table to check on everything. I got the seafood chimichanga and it was delicious, they will give you some spicy salsa if you ask for it that was a pretty good kick to the mouth. Service was good, felt like we had 5 different servers. This is the best Mexican restaurant that I've been to. I live an hour away and would gladly drive back just for the food. It has a Tex Mex flavor. The guacamole is made fresh right at the table! If your within an hours drive, make the trip, it's worth it. read more

Ate here last night, and I went home STUFFED! I couldn't even finish my fried ice cream dessert (which was delish, by the way). Lovely atmosphere, the staff was friendly and quick. I had a yummy margarita on the rocks, chips and salsa to start. The salsa has a little kick so that margarita was going down fast! I ordered the chicken fajitas plate which was sizzling and piled high when it arrived. With a side of rice and beans (all delicious), it was more than I could handle. I'm not a guacamole fan, but part of our group ordered it and they come to your table and mix it up fresh in front of you and they say it is very good. read more

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant within 40 miles! We always have excellent service & we've been coming here for years. The owner & his family are so nice! We love the Burrito Cochinita, the seafood chimi, the Burrito Al Pastor, the burrito fajita, just the fajitas, the regular salsa, and their extra spicy salsas that you have to ask for. They have jalapeño salsa, super hot habanero salsa, and a very spicy tomatillo salsa. The guacamole is always done fresh at the table & the margs are really good too. Love this place! I've never seen the staff wearing "chin diapers" as another reviewer mentioned, & I've also never felt "unsafe" concerning COVID protocols. It's always clean as well. Highly recommend! read more

Good atmosphere and the staffing was extremely polite! Food had great flavor and the salsa had just the right amount of spice in it for anyone to eat. We got there early (4pm) and was not very busy but by the time we left (6pm, we are slow eaters) the place was practically filled up. read more

I am not sure what constitutes "authentic" anymore, but I'm pretty sure canned chicken in a Chimichanga is not authentic Mexican. Additionally, it is my understanding that Chimi's are deep fried - this appeared boiled. My wife's Chicken Tropical fajitas were just lackluster and flavorless. Even the legendary guacamole was just ol' regular guacamole, and the salsa was pure store-bought. While The Plaza used to be a good restaurant, that has changed recently. This is the 3rd meal in a row that disappointed. I won't be going back - and it's a shame as this restaurant was something I was once proud of in my hometown. read more
