They're food has such a home cooked feel that I love. Boyfriend & I come here religiously to satisfy our comfort food needs. Food taste like they've came from California to the PNW. Ordered take out last night to have have my dad try their pastor tacos and he was in love. I tried their enchiladas, tacos, tortas, & burritos. So so so good. Don't judge a book by its cover hence the little building they're in. Usually the most beaten up places have the best cooked meals, I don't care what anyone has to say about that. I've been to a few Taquerias in the region and let me tell you this place is fair. Cheap prices for reasonable food. I've lived in South and Central America countries and I know my tacos. If you are looking for something affordable and fast this is a good place. Now, for an "authentic" experience there are other places within a 5-mile radius. I still believe the best tacos come from food trucks, too bad they close early and are always on the move. Also, I'm guessing the owner "Don Pastor" was not very friendly and did not even mention the house specials. We had to ask after reading it on a little white board. read more

Well I was really excited to try this place. I was hungry and out running around to different restaurants getting dinner for my wife and I. I was in a taco mood read the reviews and really wanted to try this place especially since I had already picked up what my wife wanted and it was so close to our house. Said here on yelp they were open till 9. I pulled up at 8:30. There were two people standing up front I could see thru the window. As soon as I parked they shut the lights off and walked out the door. I've eaten here several times now. It is a hole in the wall mom & pop owned taqueria. The food is your basic taco truck style food. I've ordered the al pastor street tacos three times. The al pastor should be much better considering they named the restaurant after it. I mean shouldn't it be their signature item? I don't think they put any pineapple in it at all. I've dug through the filling every time to try and find some, and I couldn't find any damn pineapple. So I'm not going to order them anymore (and I have since found the best al pastor tacos in Everett at Tortas Locas). The carne asada tacos are pretty good. Their carne asada isn't as chewy as Memo's. Their prices are reasonable and the portions are smaller than most of the places around Everett. For example, their chimichanga is less than half the size of Memo's and doesn't come with all the toppings (sour cream, cheese, guacamole, and pico de gallo). The sopes were meh. But then I have yet to find a place around here that makes sopes with that wonderful masa flavor! My last experience here was an odd one, and it has kind of bothered me since. When she rang me up she said my order was $8.50. When she gave me the receipt to sign, it was $10.50. I asked why the price went up $2 and she told me there was a 50 cent charge for using my card. She insisted she was right about the amount. I let it go because I didn't wanna argue. What I figured out later was that she originally did her math wrong when she gave me the total. She figured it out and charged me for her mistake without saying anything or explaining her mistake. That was terrible customer service, especially since she was giving me attitude about it. The likelihood of going back there is slim after that. There are better Mexican food places in the area with better customer service. read more

I never even get the steak tacos here because i like the el pastor do much. The prices are decent and my only wish is that they would have a Taco Tuesday offering. I have been to this taqueria a couple times. It's close to home and I enjoyed their tacos. What I didn't enjoy is their customer service. Over the phone and in person the woman is unnecessarly rude. She is short with you over the phone and even more short with you in person. I have never experienced such shortness at any taqueria, no matter the size of my order. I'm expecting and was craving a couple tacos and drink before going to the bank. I called in my order, & per usual she was rude. I arrived and very rudely she told me my order is being made, I pulled out my card and asked if I could pay and the husband asks if I have cash, I did not, so he denied my order of tacos and drink. Stopped by this place on a whim after a mexican food craving hit me and was not disappointed. I tried 4 of their tacos, and I'd have to say that they're carnitas and pastor had to be my favorites. LIttle crispy sweet bits of meat inside a soft shell with some of their salsa verde....yum. They were nice and everything was pretty efficient if you called in a pickup order beforehand.
