This review is for one dish and one dish only - the Chiles Cobijados…read more They stuff jalapeños with cheese, wrap it in bacon and get it perfect every single time. The bacon is deliciously crispy without being greasy at all. The cheese is a perfect combination of melty and hot without being gooey. The jalapeño is soft but not soggy- has a tiny bit of crunch! The portion of the bean dip/spread? With chips is just what you need without going overboard. I will say this is my hyper obsession meal because I know I can only get it here. There isn't any other place in town that I have found that serves this exact same dish. The plate comes with three of them, rice, salad, beans+chips. If you're there for anything else and want to try one chile they will let you add it to your entree.

Large menu with a variety of options, I have the tacos , which came with beans and rice, the beans were nice and the rice held its own, the other dish had fried chicken, this was a first for me coming from Mexican food, and was surprised by the flavor which was great, the only thing was the coleslaw I would like on the side, so it doesn't take away the crunchy chicken other then that great, just get the slaw on the side and you have something special that goes well with the fried plantains. Very friendly service, and they have their own flair.

I must state that I decided to try this truck on a Friday during lent time, so therefore I had to…read moreeat something that was not meat.. I was really devastated.. I barely get to catch this food truck, and I did not get to try the other mouthwatering menu items.. so this review is based on one item, until I try the other items, I had the following: - Louisiana Grilled Shrimp, Caesar Salad, on a Spinach Wrap: the grilled shrimp was cooked perfect, and the wrap was good, just a little too light for me I can't wait to catch this truck again, and try his other items. ***So I came back to try this place again, and had their award winning pull pork sandwich. I now believe that it is an award winning sandwich. This sandwich was packed with so much flavor and quality, probably one of the best pull pork I ever hard. So moist and flavorful, I just want another one right now!

Okay. My mission is to try all the food trucks in Lafayette at least once; so today I stopped at…read moreChef Gregory's which was parked across from Brothers on Johnston with a few other food trucks. Perfect! I basically went eenie, meenie , miney , mo and picked Chef Gregory's Food Truck. The "Kick Ass Shrimp" sandwich caught my eye, although at $12.00 with no side item; it seemed kind of pricey. But, what the heck ... if it was good, it would be money well spent - right? Well, yes and no. The six shrimp were cooked very nicely, although I had to remove them from the sandwich in order to not eat the tails. It was the bottom bread swimming in grease and loads of garlic that was so disappointing. You could literally wring out the bread; instead, I just didn't eat it. For six shrimp and a top layer of bread, it was not worth $12.00. I bought a Diet Coke and that brought the total to $14.50. Sorry, Chef Gregory, but a food truck is not fine dining.
