Do not get it confused with the actual restaurant. So since I first started coming here, I've tried several things on the menu and the menu is not big it's a perfect size menu. I have tried their Gorditas their empanadas, their chorizo, burger & different tacos. every single thing that I've tried didn't fail every time was amazing some really good food for this area and there's not that many good places in the area of Port Arthur they serve some really good authentic Mexican food. Gorditas are cooked to perfection and made to order the masa and meat ratio is perfect. You can get it with chicken, beef, Birria, pastor, barbacoa, Chicharron, which is pork skin, but I will call and ask what meat they are serving that day and meat menu does change but for the most part, they always have chicken ,beef Each and Chicharron. Their empanadas They are huge. They're not small so you can feed two people with them. it's like a deep fried tamale. The meat is inside coded around with the masa, and then deep-fried comes with a side salad is just perfect for the tacos for the tacos. They have large tacos and small tacos. I always go for the small tacos and they always pack them with meat, cilantro, onion, no matter what meat you get them on they are all good. I do recommend them and you gotta try their chorizo burger. It's a double patty with the special sauce, lettuce tomatoes, onion, and cheese comes with a side of waffle fries and onion rings excellent and cooked to perfection. This place is right off on ninth Avenue it looks like a tiny home it's colored green. They do have two entrances one in the back and one in the front doesn't matter where you come through. They do have seating in there. They do provide free coffee and free tea they also have Agua Fresca like Fresa, lemonade Horchata, etc., the place is very clean the staff is friendly and the prices are a great. I do recommend this place if you're looking for some good Mexican food homemade and fresh. You wouldn't be disappointed. I promise you.

Shes dirty , uses same gloves to do trash n then serves your food n ingredients on tacos. We also had placed orders for tacos and they were done wrong after we arrived still took an extra 30 min to make them we had already called in 20/30 min before to order. When we made a complaint she said she didnt care. Well obviously she doesnt care she is just an employee, after we got the tacos we requested more to order there she mentioned it would be another 30 min wait. We had never had this happen with the gentleman that was their before. We usually order more tacos after the first round and it takes less than 10 min to get them. We have drove in at night to eat here but if that girl is still there we just leave. Thanks it was good while it lasted. We will just take our money somewhere else.

The verde sauce is exceptionally flavorful. Crisp citrus and plenty of tomatillo identity. Subtle but welcome "burn" carrying a pleasant layer of garlic. Chicken was shredded very fine, drenched in a red sauce of piquant character which supported the pollo and enhanced the flavor. Nice combination of tastes. Beans and rice. What can you say? Well, both were provided identity. Rice is red, cumin up front. Moist and toothsome. The frijoles are rather smooth but with a tight viscosity. As the little girl said..."just right." Undercurrent of umami, these beans were not bashful. I added one tamale on the side. What a splendid accompaniment. Rich masa and as smooth as silk. Carnitas also in a similar piquant sauce. The tamale is fall-on-the-floor, astonishingly good. So very pleased I added it to my plate. I like Carlito's. This is super-duper Tex-Mex. btw, it has been MORE than ten years since our last visit. This joint has really improved.

There isn't very much variation in their pan dulce but the bread they do offer is delicious and authentic! --- They have all kinds of meats which can be cut however you'd like. They also have meat already seasoned for your convenience. --- There is a small restaurant inside offering carnitas, all kinds of tacos, chiles rellenos, and menudo on Sundays. --- They also have aguas frescas. Their flavors are hit and miss. For example, today they had guayaba (guava), naranja (orange), and sandía (watermelon), which are delicious, but a few days ago they had, agua de jamaica (hibiscus flowers), agua de frutas (a mixture of fruits), and horchata.
