Straightforward place. Walk up to the cashier and place your order and then go sit at your table and they will bring you your dish or call you to the front. I ordered two lengua soft tacos. That's my standard order. You can see them in the picture, along with the pico de gallo and other salsas that I got from the side table. Super friendly staff. Excellent fresh salsas and chips.(self serve) I have eaten here 5 times and had the following items with my ratings: 1.Bistek plate 8/10. Bland and almost like fajitas. 2. Camerones el diabla. 3/10 too much weird sauce. Shrimp chewy. 3. Super Burrito 9/10. Solid! Ingredients spread out well and grilled the tortilla! Had Chile Verde and Al Pastor. 4. Super Quesadilla with Pastor. 7/10 Not a pick up and eat Quesadilla. 2 flat flour tortillas. Knife and fork needed. Almost like a tostada, minus the beans. The Al Pastor is the best choice meat. Yo we popped up in here while we were searching for a place to go get some good shots for the video. No, not for the OnlyFans, quit dreaming.... or maybe.... ;) ANYWAY! It was pretty good! I don't remember if they had black beans or not, but I didn't get black beans, which I always do, cuz black beans are best beans. I just might have forgotten, cuz that happens when you have the attention span of a small rodent. Got a Super Burrito, but now that I'm thinking about it, should've gotten a buttload of tacos. Love the Chip and Salsa bar with four Salsa selections, pickled Jalapeños and Lime slices. We ordered a beef and a chicken Supper Burrito. They weighed 1.5lbs and 1.75lbs respectively, they were huge and delicious. I finished the second half in the morning for brunch. Will certainly return with my son now living in Boulder Creek. read more

Delish lunch today at Taqueria Los Gallos in Boulder Creek today! Birria plate with rice and beans, tortillas included. A Birria tostada also. The chips and salsa were amazing (a couple of the salsa's amazingly hot !) The Birria plate was huge and juicy and it was a special today for only $13.99! A huge plate. I couldn't eat all of it so it was my BF's dinner tonight. Can't beat that price for two meals! The staff are all friendly and they bring the food to your table. Everyone watching soccer on the TV. I picked up some tacos for my grandfather. He can be picky. I got some sides and some chips and salsa. One thing for sure, is they absolutely make the food fresh to order. Nothing is ever just sitting. The tacos were fabulous and the house red sauce was amazing. The meat was soft and tender which is important for grampy. I also liked how fresh the produce was. The place is clean, smells great and is bright. I watched some of the game while I waited. read more

The staff was friendly & our order came out quick. We moved out here less than a year ago and decided to try this spot out in hopes of finding a good mexican spot in boulder creek. I was pretty disappointed. The food was bland but nothing that salt and salsa couldn't fix. Maybe they cater more to the people in the area but I prefer having all the flavor there without having to season it myself. read more

My husband and I visited yesterday first time. We had the birria and chile relleno- -delicious- we thought it's great to have a local Mexican Restaurant in the neighborhood. Everything I've tried has been good including tacos burritos, fajitas, seafood. I'd place it as one of the better street style taquerias around including those in San jose. Spicy enough to make your cheeks sweat which is mandatory IMO. Staff is nice and the place is clean read more

I think the restaurant before this one, Los Amigos, and this new Los Gallos location both have/had excellent food. I am not a huge tacqueria snob, so maybe I am just easy to please, but I just want a nice mix of ingredients (no pockets of just salsa, or just rice in my burrito), good pico de gallo, and friendly staff. When I used to eat meat, I used to get irrate if there was a chicken bone. My sibling compained one time of a chicken bone, but I am willing to forgive that one error that I heard about. I am surprised that all of their locations don't get better reviews. I stay away from that taco truck in town because they tried to charge me like 8 dollars for a tiny burrito that had a disgusting mix of beans and cheese (looked pre-digested, if your into that sort of thing). Also, the taco truck would sell me like, $2 tacos on Tuesday if they had meat, but they wanted to charge me like $4 or more for one with beans. I am not sure if those food truck guys understand that beans are cheaper than steak, but someone should tell them. read more

Loroco is an edible, unopened flower bud from a Central American vine, and is a staple in Salvadoran cuisine, especially in pupusas. When the dish came it just tasted like spinach! Take a look at the pictures. Burritos was were i was disappointed, the gave a platter instead of Burrito, but they quickly complied to take it back wrapped it up in tortilla. But when we split rice and bean was on one side and vegetables on the other, which diluted the whole experience. We got another burrito to go, which was also folded wrong Wow I learnt how wrong way of folding a Burritos can bring this much difference. Also their Jalapenos were not having the kick. We had come specifically for the food, but the live music was an unexpected bonus. The ordering system was pretty straightforward: they have a few plating options, with 5 options of "guisados" and 5 options of sauce (I hesitate to call it salsa, because one of them tasted more like a sriracha mayo). Pictured is their $14 taco plate option, featuring all of the meat offerings (carnitas, chicken mole and cochinita pibil, per Instagram). They also serve a vegetarian and a vegan option. I highly recommend the chicken mole. It was flavorful and saucy in all the right ways. I ordered their 3rd and 4th sauces. 4 was a little spicier, so I recommend 3 if you're unsure. I also recommend checking their Instagram (@cococthefoodtruck) for upcoming schedules.
