When my wife called and told them, they said I'd have to bring the item back, even though we had used Favor to have it delivered. This is not the first time they have messed up our taco orders. We have had to send my daughter back in to have them make our tacos what we actually ordered, and just ate the cost of tacos we didn't order. Every ingredient was excellent, from the asada to the rice, beans and other fillings. The burrito was grilled nicely, and the hot sauce they gave me was more of a chili oil but it was absolutely amazing. It may not look like much but they sure seem to know that they're doing. And they keep the place exceptionally clean. Our server made us feel very welcome even though we showed up just before closing time (they close at 2 pm Tue - Sun and are closed all day Monday). Half the menu was breakfast and the other half was lunch. Beverages were colas, coffee, tea, lemonade and horchata. Lunch here is your typical Mexican lunch menu: tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, fajitas, etc. They also had two specials today: Enchiladas Verde and Quesabirria Tacos. We tried and enjoyed both. The enchiladas had a lot of chicken in them. And while the birria lacked its typical au jus to dip the tacos in, they were still quite authentic and flavorful. The complimentary chips and salsa comes with a bean dip, and with two additional chile options, a spicy red chile and a chile verde. It was nice having all those options. For a healthier option, they also offer a large bowl of tortilla soup with spanish rice on the side. I'm not sure why they choose to open a Mexican restaurant right next to a Mexican restaurant, but the two restaurants are very different and keep different hours. We will come back to try their breakfast, as that appears to be their specialty.

And at least they don't oversalt everything with Fiesta seasoning like some places do. They don't have a liquor license but they serve beer, wine and frozen margaritas, which aren't bad but they're officially "wineritas" because they don't have tequila in them. But my wife likes them. The interior space is pretty nice, especially the Eastern room. But some of the booths are old and really need new cushions in them. I'm hoping they invest in this place when the new, nearby community opens up and they gain new patrons. If it improves, we'll come here more often. It has potential. That said, we were disappointed on this visit. The waiter literally pulled something out of my drink with his fingers before serving it to me, hoping I wouldn't notice. Who does that? If something's fallen into it, just take it back to the kitchen and get another one. Don't dip your fingers into guests' drinks. Please. The guacamole was interesting. Just unseasoned, mashed up avocado. No onion. No serrano peppers. Little to no salt or lime. Diced tomatoes were served on the side (as not to water down the guac), and it was served over shredded iceberg lettuce. I did taste fresh. And there was salt on the table if you wanted it. I guess I just expected it to be more prepared. It would have been a nice respite from the heat if our meal was spicy. But we've never had anything there that was spicy.
