I stopped in here for breakfast while waiting for my truck to get serviced at the nearby Ford dealership. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese burrito which was easily the mass of a dwarf planet. I'd say it was about equivalent to 3 typical tacos. Very nice blend of ingredients in my opinion because I love the bacon just as much as the next guy. I had unsweetened tea to drink that was great (I'm a bit of a tea snob) but would've been marginally better with a lemon slice. The staff was calm and pleasant to interact with. Taqueria Sergio's is a good place for breakfast. They don't have a large dining room but it's big enough for roughly 25 people. My brother and his wife both live in La Grange and they wanted to get breakfast here. Here's a yelp tip, if the locals suggest a place, you have to check it out. My brother had the Huevos Rancheros and he thoroughly enjoyed them. It may be a regular thing he orders from here, but he likes it a lot. His wife ordered the bacon and chorizo omelette and she was quite happy. I'm embarrassed a little to admit that I had a potato and egg taco but I needed to eat light after the night before. The green salsa is good but it packs a little heat. The service was quick and friendly. All in all a good experience. They're open from 6:00AM until 2:00 PM. I think they're worth a visit. Ok, fair warning. It's a hole in the wall in small town Texas. That also means it's going to be good food. And Sergios is great food. I stopped here with a group for breakfast on Saturday morning and came away full and happy. The service is quick and friendly. With our large group, we got our food quickly and our drinks stayed filled. The quick service helps a lot since the dining room is small. A lot of the locals use the to go option. The breakfast tacos are reasonably priced and made to order. If you're hungrier than one taco, I'd recommend the burritos. Same options as the tacos, but on a much larger tortilla. One burrito is more than enough. I also liked the fillings. The bacon and potatoes were both crisp. And the squeeze bottles of salsa both had a great flavor. We're fortunate to have tasted tacos throughout the southwest and California. My wife and I agree the tacos at Sergio's were some of the best, if not the best, we've enjoyed. From the moment we walked in, Sergio's daughter and son were very helpful with the menu and ensured we enjoyed our meal. We ordered several tacos (beef fajita, barbacoa, carne guisada and Morelia) and they were all excellent. Definitely include at least one Morelia taco when you order yours. We stopped at another place in La Grange but, their dining room was not open so we left. We found this place and this was a great find. The Machado (dried shredded beef scrambled with eggs, onions, tomato, serrano, and cheese.) So tasty and delicious. Both salsas that they bring to the table were tasty as well, green being a little more spicy that the red. Don't get me wrong the red was just as fabulous. My husband ordered the Huevos Rancheros plate (Two eggs your way, topped with salsa ranchera, served with bacon, beans, and potatoes.) He also added a side of Beef Fajita Meat as he saw someone elses plate order, and asked what their plate was. He ordered the same. The Rancheros sauce was the best we have had so far, it was thicker, well seasoned and luscious. Potatoes cooked well, seasoned, and brown whoo hoo. They obviously know how to cook. The beef fajita meat on the side also savory perfectly seasoned and scrumptious. If you are out here in La Grange and wanna eat delicious Mexican food I'm telling you stop by this cozy little red building and vibe with this family run restaurant that is homey and makes you feel good, plus the food is fabulous. My wife and I stopped at this little taco shop on our way to Austin. It is a bit hard to find because google maps takes you around the highway. This place has become very disappointing. You can't use beans as a filler and only serve two table spoons worth of carne guisada and think your customers aren't going to notice. This place is popular for good reason. They have legit breakfast tacos. You can watch them them being made while you wait. The ingredients taste fresh and the $2.50 price is less than some other taquerias in town. There isn't a lot of seating, but most folks are getting them to go anyway. The salsas, both red and green, are very good. The green is spicier, but the red has a great flavor. I like to put them both on the tacos because they work great together. read more

Eat regularly at Sergio's. Restaurant staff is friendly and I enjoy visiting with the locals who also dine there. The food is made to order and always fresh and hot. The green chile sauce is spicy hot and the red chile sauce is medium. On Friday and Saturday they serve Menudo- "Breakfast of Champions!" Small restaurant in size with 5-6 tables and a couple of picnic benches outside. Open for breakfast and lunch except for Sundays. Recommend it for true authentic Mexican food. read more
