One of my favorite bites in CDMX. 1. The al pastor, combined with the friendly service, makes this spot one of our favorite places we visited. 2. We came here for dinner and ordered almost everything on the menu: taco de canasta de frijol, taco de canasta de adobo con pollo, an orden de tacos al pastor, a gringa, and a quesadilla. The total was about $13 USD, and we were more than satisfied. 3. We started with the tacos de canasta, tacos al pastor, and the gringa. The tacos al pastor were delicious - the only thing missing was the pineapple. I'm not sure if it's something you need to request or if they simply forgot, but even without it, they were the best tacos al pastor I had. The tacos de canasta were generously stuffed with filling. They didn't do much for me flavor-wise, but they were fun to try. The gringa is like a sandwich, but with tortillas instead of bread. It was a bit harder to eat because the tortilla was flimsy, but it was another fun item to try. 4. For round two, we ordered the quesadilla, and it was very good - piping hot, super cheesy, and savory. This may have been our favorite item on the menu. If we had more stomach space, I would've ordered the torta too, just to try every single item. 5. We wanted to come back a second time during our visit because it was that good, but they're closed until January 5, so until next time!

The Al pastor goes insane here. with pineapple is just perfect. The others are good but man that Al pastor is just fire.

Wow!! After taking an amazing walk from the zoo, in a beautiful part of Mexico City, we ended up in the wonderful La Condesa neighborhood. We passed by and Taqueria Las Rejas was packed. There are several food options in the area, but we went back about 20 minutes later. It was still packed, but man I'm glad we went back. Service was incredible. You just give the order on the street and your food is out in 5 minutes. There is a language barrier if your Spanish is minimal, but the servers are so nice and patient. We found a little spot on the side of the building and had the best al pastor tacos I've ever eaten. I think 2 orders was like 5 or 6 $$$. What a great experience at Taqueria Las Rejas! We will definitely be back.

Al pastor tacos for 11 pesos. 60 cents per taco is crazy. Juicy meat. It's not the best, but the price is right. I didn't like the chicharron taco.

The workers were so sweet and kind. Al pastor tacos were incredible. 5 for $3.75 USD. Very chill seating / environment. Doesn't get better than that.

Tacos al pastor! This popular outlet does a roaring trade in tacos al pastor. They start the day with an enormous spit filled pork slices marinated in adobo sauce and by the end of the day, there's hardly anything left on the spit. We're not huge fans of the corn tortillas so instead of tacos al pastor, we had ours with torta (bread rolls) and gringas (flour tortillas) instead! It's delicious and the sauces and pickled vegetables are terrific! This is amazing value for money!

We came here the other day after just walking around La Condesa and feeling a little hungry, but not starving. This place had the right element. Wonderful tacos al Pastor, and they were perfect with a "Lime" Penafiel, so I finally felt home. The service was very prompt and amiable. This place isn't ideal if it is rainy outside, and it was a bit drizzly, but we had no problem sitting outside and enjoying our little tacitos outside. The price is nothing, so for five little awesome taquitos and a Penafiel soda, it was about $4.

Thank you Cesar! Our favorite server.

This taqueria was our favorite in Mexico City. It happened to be in the neighborhood we were staying in so we went there FOUR times in our 12-day visit. The food was authentic, fresh, fast, and very affordable! All of the waiters and cooks were rushing around to take care of their customers--our favorite was Cesar. He was there every time we went and, although he didn't speak English and we only knew a few words of Spanish, we were able to communicate with no problem. We had the pastor (pork) and cebeza (beef head), but the star was the cachete (beef cheeks). SO GOOD! Do yourself a favor and stop here for some of these delicious tacos.

    Tacos Al Pastor are awesome.

If you are staying in the Condesa area you need to try this taco spot! They have small seating tables outside and only have street parking. They offer Al Pastor tacos, tortas, quesadillas, etc. Along with that, they also offer tacos that are steamed and filled with many different things. I got the Al Pastor quesadilla and it had soo much flavor and the hot sauce added a kick and even more diverse flavors. The service is very quick and the staff is very nice. Check them out if you're in Mexico City!

That said, I really appreciated how clearly those items were labeled--it set expectations upfront and made ordering easier given our schedule. The space itself is beautiful with an open, airy ambience that immediately sets the tone. We were started off with complimentary crispy tortillas served with both red and green salsas--a simple but very welcome touch. For food, my kids ordered the lime soup and the penne al chipotle, both of which they really enjoyed. My husband and I went for the tortas: he chose the Bacalao a la Veracruzana and I had the Cangrejo de Concha Suave. Both were delicious, with a unique twist on the classic flavors. My husband also had a cocktail that he loved. Overall, a solid experience with great food and atmosphere. This is definitely a place I'd return to when I can slow down and savor it properly.

The first time we came in shortly before closing but they were more than accommodating and sat us down right away. This is a fine dining experience and it is really cool to be able to watch the kitchen and chef at work from your table. I can highly recommend the Guac- love the little touch of pomegranate and the variety of chips to dip, the chicken lime soup was a hit with our 1.5 year old, the beet salad was delicious and the sea bass cooked to perfection. For mothers day I treated myself to a house margarita and it was delish. We also tried not one but two desserts this time, the chocolate cake with ice cream and the soursop jelly, both divine! I was excited having just learned about the soursop fruit, and how many nutritional benefits there are- make sure you give it a try if you're into pudding desserts. The next time we tried some of the same things and some new things- steak, roasted chicken, cauliflower with mole sauce (the mole sauce here was perfection) mushroom soup and the house lemonade. All fantastic, and the presentation is wonderful. We ended the evening with the hot chocolate cake which was the perfect balance of chocolate paired with ice cream- note that this dessert does take some time to prepare fresh. Planning to come back here if I am ever in the area again!

We then kicked things off with the arancini, which set the tone right away--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. For mains, we shared a spread and honestly couldn't pick a favorite: the Octopus Tacos were tender and packed with flavor, the Rabbit Tacos were unique and delicious, and the roasted seasonal vegetables "al mojo de ajo" were simple but so satisfying. The marinated pan-fried salmon and fresh trout were both beautifully cooked and thoughtfully seasoned. Every dish felt intentional, beautifully presented and well executed. But the real showstoppers were the desserts. The fresh goat cheesecake with orange, grapefruit, and lemon was bright and perfectly balanced, and the whisky chocolate crème brûlée was rich, smooth, and unforgettable. Desserts truly knocked it out of the park. Bonus points for the cocktails--my hubby was a huge fan. Great food, great drinks, excellent service and relaxed ambiance made for a wonderful overall experience. Highly recommend adding Temporal to your Mexico City dining list.
