Everyone eating here was cheerful and raucous, digging into all manner of tacos and birria. I ordered a 'chico' for 20 pesos because I was still reeling from all the octopus I ate for lunch, and it came out almost so large I couldn't finish it.

Both of the two spicy sauces they put on the side are serious business, and only require a few drops to flavor your entire makeshift taco.
I also appreciated the sourness and lack of extra sugar in their agua tamarindo, and you really can't go wrong with a bowl of goat stew for the equivalent of $1.25 USD. I wish I'd had the chance to compare it to the countless birria stands on streets all over Tijuana, but.... next time! read more
