Google Maps got us exactly to this streetside taco cart. We walked up and were immediately greeted by a nice man who we are guessing is the owner. He spoke great English and took our order right away. There are a few communal tables, and he directed us to sit while we waited. There is hot sauce, limes, and radishes that anyone can grab for tacos on the tables. One sauce is very hot, but we were warned.
They only serve birria, but you can order various items such as tacos and quesadillas. We each decided to have one soft and one hard taco.
Everything was assembled quickly by the workers and brought out to us. The birria itself was tender and flavorful - one of the best I have had. Tortillas were fresh, and there was a generous amount of cilantro and onions. We tried both the salsas, which were spicy, but delicious. We each left feeling full for a very reasonable amount of money. They did only have sodas, so if you need water, bring some along.
If you are a birria fan or have never had it, check this spot out in TJ. It's off the beaten path and closes after lunch. It's only a few blocks over from Avenida Revolution, so wander off the main streets and get some tasty tacos and friendly service! read more
