Went in here after running around all day and I was hangry. I was greeted by a very nice gentleman (owner?) and ordered a chicken burrito, no beans, to go. Another employee offered me salsas and he offered me free chips. To say that this burrito was delicious would be an understatement. The chicken would be incredible by itself; perfectly seasoned and cooked and actually had flavor. Salsas are fresh and on point. Definitely worth a stop from anywhere in the county!! First time eating here and I got the super burrito with steak and I must say GREAT PORTIONS + GREAT PRICE! They have the tortilla down, so that if you're holding it, nothing will spill out. Sure you could lay it down, but half of it will end up on your plate and I hate a messy burrito that crumbles before you take your first bite. My burrito was good and tasty, they are very generous with the meat, reasonable and affordable price for what you get. The employee that helped me was Jose, and he got to business immediately! This place is a hidden gem. I went for my 1st time just about a month ago while visiting a Skateboarding event being put on inside Sears. I went to the food court and ordered the Chicken Asada Nacho fries and two Baja tacos. And it was all so delicious. My lady and I ate every bite! And we've been back probably 10 times it's that good. No matter which meat I choose for tacos, they are all tasty. The shrimp taco is my favorite. Cooked perfectly, not overdone and tough like you get at many other restaurants. The chicken and pastor are also great. The young man behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Food came out fast. We got a vegetarian super burrito and a asada one. We also got fries Plus the food seemed fairly fresh they let you grab as much salsa and sauce as you need and the food was hot. The fries though hot I would personally not get again they need salt or something they were very bland and sort of freezer tasting. So no thanks my burrito they did forget the cheese wasn't the end of the world but I think it would have added flavor it did seem clean so I'm definitely willing to give them another shot . The food was also not edible, the beans were obviously rotten mixed with other day old beans. The rice was not fresh could definitely tell it was a day old, it tasted salty, hard and dried out. I actually really like their food and have not have issues with it tasting old like some of the other reviews, but the first time I ordered nachos the cheese wasn't melted. I thought I would give them another try and low and behold once again, the cheese wasn't melted . I asked if they could melt it more and they did, but a bit begrudgingly. Then when we finally started eating it we realized there was hardly any cheese. I would be surprised if there was 1/8 of a cup on there. I mean that is why nachos are so good in my book, because of the melted cheese. They weren't cheap so they should be throwing on enough cheese to be considered nachos. All in all I do like their food, but my advice is to NEVER order the nachos. Also, the customer service is not great. Made the food wrong and with ingredients not listed, then argued with me when I couldn't eat it because it included spicy peppers I can't eat. I get Mexican food is spicy and that's fine, but when you specifically list the ingredients so people with allergies or spice levels can see - you gotta do it right. And if a customer nicely let's you know and brings 90% of their burrito back because they can't eat it, maybe don't argue with them that 'it's a poboy burrito of course it has jalapeños' because a) that's not a standard thing in a poboy sandwich and b) it's not listed anywhere. They even asked ME to throw it away off their counter in a can across the court when they have trash right behind the counter and it was wrapped in a paper bag, thanks guys. But this is all worse considering it's a $16 burrito and not that big. If it was cheap I'd say whatever but for that price and size, I'd appreciate the correct food. We ordered a large number of tamales from their new shop in the Capitola Mall. It was absolutely incredible! Gabriel was so great to work with. We loved the two salsas, the rice and beans, and the tamales were outstanding. we were especially happy that the tamales were not too full of cornmeal. I don't often give 5 star reviews but this taco truck definitely deserves it. I've been seeing it as I drive down 41st ave and my wife's on quesadilla kick so I found their website ordered through doordash for pickup and it was ready early. They have very good communication, also. Got the quesabirria plate, quesabirria quesadilla, and churros. I have never had it before but it's like pot roast, very tender beef marinated in sauce. The plate had some Spanish rice and beans with the quesabirria and four corn tortillas. Quesadilla had a side of salsa, sour cream, and guac. There were four small churros drizzled in chocolate sauce with a side of whipped cream which didn't hold up so they might think of using a stabilized whipped cream in the future. Everything was great and I will definitely be back to try other menu selections. read more
