We have seen Saucey'z around, but have never tried it, so when we saw that they would be at Sante Adarius in Capitola, we headed up for dinner. I ordered two vegan tacos, my spouse ordered two aloha tacos with pork, and we got Brussels sprouts (no bacon) to share. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The chef delivered it himself and was very pleasant. Food was amazing, but two tacos AND half of the Brussels sprouts was a lot of food. These were massive dishes! That being said, we ate most of it and just had to roll ourselves home. The sauce was a bit too spicy for me, but would probably be fine for someone who enjoys spice more than I do. Food is great. Customer service was meh, went to Food Truck Friday and wanted to order a sandwich with cheese on only half the sandwich to split with my wife. Lady said "Do you see how busy we are, absolutely not" thought that was pretty rude. I've heard from friends about Saucey'z, but never tried them until yesterday. The food was off the hook amazing. I had the tacos, the pull pork sandwich and fries that I'd never experienced before. I clearly ordered way too much food because I thought the portions would be smaller. FYI Saucey'z does not hold back on their portions!! I went home full, but craving more. Two more things: -they were quick on service. Some trucks take forever... not these guys -it looked like they were having a good time making food. Awesome food truck! I got to try them at a food truck gathering at skypark in Scott's Valley the other day and they were serving up some tasty treats! They had a small menu consisting of a burger, a couple different tacos, fries, and loaded fries. Prices ranged from about $5 to $9. I tried both taco offerings they had that day and they were both really good. $5 for a taco is a bit steep and after eating 2 of them I was still hungry. So 3 tacos would be a good meal and that would cost you $15. Those are restaurant prices and that's where they lost the star. It's a food truck right? As far as food goes, the tacos were great! Pretty creative flavor combinations as well. Each taco had what seemed like a dozen different ingredients on them, a real flavor explosion. Both tacos were chicken based, one was fried, the other grilled with bacon and ranch. Tasty sauces, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, cheese, and Doritos crumbs (I'm sure I missed a few ingredients, they were loaded). They were served up cozy in paper trays with a fork sticking out the top. The fork was necessary to finish all the goodies that spilled out into the tray while trying to eat these messy creations... I enjoyed my meal and would eat their food again, next time 3 tacos... Give em a try! read more

I love this food truck! When I'm out and about at an event and I see this truck, I always stop by to grab a bite. Friendly and fast, I ordered their crispy Brussel sprouts and it was excellent! Mango habanero and wasabi aioli was the perfect combination and addition to this dish. I think it is very original. Their YOLO fries definitely deserves its name! Whenever I see that Saucey'z truck and logo my mouth starts to water and my tummy breathes a sigh of relief! Just like the paint job on the outside of the truck the food is FRESH! Their Yolo Fries and pulled pork sandwiches are among my favorites. My boys love their bacon cheese burgers. Their prices are good. After baseball games we would stop there for dinner and feed our family for a decent amount of $. During summer when we would stop at shanty shack and have a few beers with Saucey'z amazing food. My husband and I have been frequenting Saucey's since we moved to Santa Cruz, so when it was time for us to decide who we should have cater our wedding last September, my hubby had one request and one request only (and it was not open for debate). Saucey's. Rob and his team de-freaking-livered! Our guests are STILL talking about the awesome pulled pork sliders, and obviously, the YOLO fries that Saucey's delivered to our guests as the end of the night neared. Everything was perfect for what we wanted. Rob sat down and talked with my husband and I to assure he would be able to capture what we wanted on our special day, and he did just that! We wanted something low-key, easy for our guests to come and grab one of these/one of those, and of course for the food to be off the chain. The Saucey's crew put together appetizers, pulled pork sliders (mentioned above), chicken bacon ranch tacos, a fresh salad, bacon mac and cheese, and of course, the beloved late night YOLO fries that one guest said he thought were being "hand-delivered to [him] straight from heaven." Rob even made a very last minute alteration for one of our guests who does not eat bacon. He was able to make our guest a separate plate- pork free- talk about above and beyond! If you're not looking for an event to be catered, catch this stellar food truck all around Santa Cruz county. Everything on their menu is good enough to make you wanna slap yo' mama! I have obviously done my fair share of raving about their YOLO fries, but I love everything on their menu. These guys are amazing! I've run into them at a few different local business/events and the food is always great. They have a nice variety of food, but if you don't get the Yolo Fries (full order with the pulled pork) what are you even doing with your life? Yes, they are $15. For fries. From a food truck. But they are foodgasm good. And they can feed two people. If they have the stuffed/filled churros, get those as well. You're welcome. The only downside is that everyone and their mother must know how kickass their food is because when these guys show up at an event (like the recent Skypark Hocus Pocus movie night) so does the line. Their pulled pork is amazing! These guys were set up outside of the Shanty Shack Brewery in Santa Cruz yesterday. My husband and I stopped in to grab a beer, and we were hungry. As soon as we smelled the delicious scent of cooked meat wafting from this food truck, we decided to grab a bite. He ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and I got the pork tacos. Ran into these guys at Shanty Shack brewing over in Santa Cruz. Quite the deliciousness in ye old truck format. Seating? Well it's a food truck. I was able to retreat with my spoils into the brewery otherwise curbside dining rules apply. Service was quick and satisfying, although at high volume times there may be a small wait for ordering and pick up. The menu is organized around pulled pork, fried chicken and vegetables. Oh they do have a cheeseburger which is good verging on great as is the chicken and veg things but the pulled pork is a real standout.The menu is prone to change but generally speaking the yolo fries and pulled pork will always be present. They also have some grilled brussel sprouts that they are very proud of-it's a popular dish as well-I saw quite a few folks order it. I can't persnoally tell you what it's like because, well brussel sprouts are not one of my food truck proirities. Yolo fries are Saucy'z version on loaded fries -they are meal unto themselves. We ordered a pulled pork slider, a fried chicken slider, and the yolo fries, veg style. It's hard to go wrong with a fried chicken sandwich. I mean it's battered, and on a bun but this one had some freshly made cole slaw that put it over the top flavor wise. That addition totally redeemed an otherwise unremarkable sandwich. Yolo fries are Shoestring french fries, shredded cheese, bacon, fried onions, scallions, jalapeño ranch, BBQ sauce, and pulled pork. You can of course order the veg version which is meat free -and also prepared separately so there is no chance of cross contamination.They are a wonderful creamy sweet spicy crunchy combination of flavors. They are a heavy dish-not really a side unless you are sharing as they will easily fill you up. The pork however....that pulled pork is a marvel. no really the pulled pork anything is so so worth it. If there is one thing other then the yolo fries it should be the brussel spou.......no sorry I meant pulled pork. Get the brussel sprouts for whoever wouldn't come with you to this food truck. The pork awesomeness should be reserved only for you. You won't want to share believe me. Overall this is pulled pork, yolo brussell deliciousness in truck format. Totally worth it. read more

Hands down my favorite food truck in Santa Cruz and there's definitely some tough competition out there . The truck is family owned and operated , they put a lot of love in what they do and you can definitely taste it. I recently stopped by the sheriff's station on frontage road they were doing lunch service I ordered a chicken BLT taco and a pork taco witch were awesome so good I had to have another lol. When we stumbled across Sauceyz we couldn't believe how tasty the food was. We follow the owner on Facebook and Instagram so we always know where he is going to be.
