I don't like writing negative reviews. I'd just rather not say anything if I can't be positive but I used to love this truck and had a few nice interactions with the owner. Then one day that all changed. I don't know what happened but she was catering an event I was at and she was yelling at some of the people in line and then she ran out of food halfway through the event and the event coordinators tried to ask her if she could make more food and that they'd pay more but she just said nope and took off. Luckily a taco truck was also there and stepped up to fill the void. I honestly don't know what changed and I won't speculate about someone I don't know online but I did like the food there but after she made one of my coworkers cry and was verbally hostile to others, I wouldn't even return if she had a Michelin Star. So much so, that until recently, I've felt compelled to end any statement with a qualifier of "...for a food truck": - "It was tasty... for a food truck" - "It was prepared quickly... for a food truck" - "I enjoyed the food... for a food truck" This time was different. It wasn't just delicious for a food truck. It was delicious. Full stop. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was tasty. Like, REAL tasty. Like, "top ten chicken sandwich" tasty. What's more, the food was prepared quickly (~10 minutes). All in all, it was a great experience and if I see Ate3One amidst the sea of food trucks at an event, it'll be my first choice. Some food trucks are magical...this isn't one of them. Yeah, they have what seems to be a exciting menu...till you get your two or three bites of food. Overpriced for sure. I get the fact that it cost a buttload to move that boat around, but man. I also get that working with the public is sometimes hard. Have tried this food truck a few times and everything has been super tasty, really reasonably priced, and the ladies who run it are super rad. Their pulled pork sandwiches are great. Nice BBQ sauce, great choice of rolls, and the pork was cooked perfectly. Their shrimp tacos were really good as well and I definitely could have eaten a couple more of them. Really wish La Selva Beach would let them come back and serve food once a week in the evenings. It was so nice to be able to come down and grab some food with my Dad on bikes. While i have had a few good dishes from this truck - the fries and Philly cheesesteaks are ok! The owner makes me never want to spend my money there ever again. She's very rude and seems very unstable to run a food truck. One time I've seen her yelling at staff and customers the next she's crying. My son asked her what kind of sodas they had available and she about lost her shit. We spent a lot of money there that day and I was so taken back that she was so rude to an 11 year old for asking about soda options. I'll never go here again. However, the female owner was in the back, cooking food and yelling at or about the customers. I was brought one taco to eat there. He then came back with 2 tacos in a Togo box as I had to go back to work. What a disappointment. I am one of many vendors at the Pleasure Point Street Fair tonight and was absolutely appalled by the behavior of this owner. She was definitely "ON" something. She was screaming and yelling at all of the vendors to GO HOME. She hit the back of one of their booths and said Wrap It UP! Over and Over and Over again she screamed and yelled. the event ended at 5pm and on the dot exactly she came out screaming telling us all to hurry up! She knows by now, that waiting for a long time after the event is over for the street to open up is apart of almost every large event, It is just apart of the Festival life. The way she acted today is NOT a way to keep your business in a Locals Supported town. Some of the vendors she screamed at have a lot of connections and power in the festival circuit. The small business festival circuit is a close community and bands together. I was shocked that this was happening. Of all my years doing festivals, I have not once ever seen a vendor act like this. I heard from 5 vendors about her and her actions, She was even upsetting some to the point that other vendors had to calm down others to not start a scene. First off, the food was pretty good. The 2 star review is a direct result of a lack of customer service. I ordered 2 things that should have totalled $31. I give the cashier my card and when I get his tablet to sign, It shows he is charging me $44. When I asked what the extra cost was for he said tax. I asked how much they were charging in tax and he tries handing me a 5 dollar bill which he said was for the "tax overcharge." If there's ever a moment you can tell someone is lying to you this was it. If you messed up the order its not a big deal, we could have fixed it. to not be willing to fix it and then try and throw a 5 to get me to walk away left me feeling like they were doing something unethical. I've seen this truck drive around the county multiple times and always wanted to try it since it appeared in the Food Network channel. I waited over 1 hour and a half. I got 2 churros and the Naughty Fries. The fries were overcooked, not enough sour cream, nor there other sauce, and super salty. Not worth the wait.
