Was looking and looking for a taco caterer in Lancaster for my daughters graduation and since we don't live there haven't tried out many caterers there, but to my luck found Taquizas y Carnitas. I sent a message through yelp and quickly got a response from Omar. He broke things down for me and prices. They don't only offer tacos, they have many menu options. All we had to do was give our party information, guest count and options. No deposit required only for the signed contract. Cash on the day of. They arrived early for set up. Everyone loved the food. Had left overs and they left these for us just had to have the containers so they can leave them. Be prepared. I used this company for a small birthday party (30 people). I just got the very basic package: tacos, rice, beans, all the sauces and dressings, and a horchata. The price per person was very good. The company arrived promptly (an hour before party time) and cooked up the meat. Then they spent the next 1.5 or so cooking and serving up for the guests. They brought a lot of food. I'm not big on leaving reviews, but let me tell you guys! This guy is awesome! He catered our Father's Day gathering. He was on time, professional, and the tacos!! Whew. We had asada, pastor and chorizo. All bomb but the chorizo was my favorite . I asked for a hot salsa and he brought a red one that was hot and tasty. He had all the toppings and also made quesadillas for us as well. I wish I would've taken pics of the food but we were too busy eating. This will definitely be our go to Taquero from now on. My brother hired them for his wedding and these weren't good tacos. I didn't even go for a second serving. The meat ( beef or carne asada) wasn't good, it had a lot pieces that I couldn't bite into, it was like the white nerve ending of the beef. The lady serving the tacos added grease to my niece's plate and my aunt had to tell her to make a new one. To top it all off, that disgusted me was that my daughter found a grey hair in her taco, and one of the ladies serving the tacos had grey hair. I don't recommend these Catering taqueros/tacos. For the 1 star review from Rebeca, what I can say is that it was my wedding, I hired the caterer and I'm the one that will review them, not one of my guest. There were so many people, during and after our wedding, that gave us great feedback about the tacos and the caterer. Everyone that said something regarding the food mentioned how much they liked everything including the aguas frescas, tacos and quesadillas, and I agree with them. Their salsas were great too. The lady and her helper showed up early, started prepping and cooking and had the food ready right after our ceremony was concluded and I will say right on time!!! So please disregard the negative review from my sister. As for the hair incident, I have to agree that it looked like a horse hair and we were in a horse ranch. It wasn't the lady's hair. That's just bogus. I'm just sorry I hadn't reviewed them sooner. Hire them!! You'll love their food and their service read more
