Horrible experience always. Late on the night of my birthday, I needed a few items. I walk in and grab what I need. The self checkout was closed as expected. So I wait for a worker to ring me up. There was 3-5 employees at Guest services and they were all chatting around the wall where they couldn't be seen. I've never seen such lazy and inattentive workers in my life. They completely ignored me for 3 minutes as I waited patiently in complete irritation. My question is what is target about anyway? One of the largest corporate businesses yet so little care for their customers? They always treat me like my businesses doesn't even matter. I have been to this Target 2 times. It isn't my neighborhood Target but I came here because I had ordered some items for an activity that I wanted to do with the residents at my job. When I first entered the store and walked over to the pickup counter I was greeted with a smiling face. She did her job and grabbed my items. I thought that I would never had to go back to this Target after that day. Turns out that I was wrong. I had to return the items since I didn't get a lot of participation from the residents. I came back that same week a couple of days later and returned the items. The return was no trouble at all. After my return I had to get a couple of items which I did. I got my items and went to the cashier and the cashier was friendly. I was in and out of that Target because honestly I could spend so much money at Target but I was trying to avoid that. If I'm ever in the area then I would come back to this Target which is why I give this place 5 stars. read more

This is a smaller target, been coming here for years. I like that it does not get over crowded, and it's easy to find what you need. If you do drive up, they bring it out super quick. Even in instances where I have forgotten my phone, they just verify with my ID and bring it out to me. read more

This is the funniest Target I had ever been to. My Junior High School is located down the street inside of a neighborhood about a few minutes from this kooky of a fanatic store. Long ago, this was the only department store in town. I remembered it as it was used to be GemCo. until it went bellied up and replaced with this place. This place withstood the test of time as it had seen Walmart, K-Mart, Trader Joe's, and Fresh & Easy all built up around this place. Yet, this place still survives after 20 years. To add a little insult, they even add another Target about 10 minutes away from here next to Cerritos Mall. It still kicking and screaming after all this time. It'll take all comers and still left standing. Frankly, I'll be honest. I really don't know why this place still exist. It should have closed or bulldozed down by now. The space remains the same as it never expanded (even though it could). This particular Target never utilized the space it was given so that we can find the items in the right section. They don't update or modernized with newer equipments for faster checkout or able to help you locate the items. The selections of brand name electronics are a joke and not very competitive pricings either. I could give plenty of other examples of how I was rudely treated at the checkout because one of the pants lacked the correct barcode so that it can be scanned by their price scanner. The cashier made it like it was my fault. The nerve of that lady! Or I can give plenty of times on how I was stuck in a long and unmovable lines behind incompetent personnel that are manning the register. I got passed on all those issues. However I really can't understand why is this place still exist. It's very old and the arrangement of the place made it looked like you just walked into a Drug Department store in a small town in the 1960s. I really wished they can update this place to be in the new century. For now, I would rather go to the Target across town near Cerritos Mall because seriously I can go in and find the stuffs I need easily. What sealed the deal was that I never have to endure long waits in the check out line. Plus, just in case... I don't want to run in to my old Junior High School teacher. WORST TARGET EVER. ... EVER.. EVER. i bought a pair of water shoes that literally started disintegrating upon the first use. i came back the VERY NEXT DAY, with the receipt, tags, and even the plastic hanger thing, only to be told that i could not return the shoes because they had been worn. ME: "um, but your item is defective. it has a hole in the sole. i just bought this yesterday. i have my receipt and everything." TARGET EMPLOYEE: "that's our policy. there's nothing i can do about it." i asked to speak to a manager, and so the returns employee disappeared for a little while. then she returned and said the manager agreed with her. (but wouldn't come talk to me) then i asked for a phone number and address of corporate so i can write a letter and mail them those useless shoes. she told me to fill out a comment card and drop it in the box. ugh! DON'T BUY ANYTHING HERE IF THERE'S EVEN A REMOTE CHANCE OF HAVING TO RETURN IT. later that week i went to the cypress target to ask for an address i can mail a complaint to. the lady there asked me what happened, and i told her about the horrible experience i had at the bloomfield store. she told me the policy clearly states i can return defective merchandise and proceeded to give me a refund. thank you cypress target. i was going to boycott target for the rest of my life, but now i won't.. however, i will only buy consumable goods. no clothes, shoes, electronics, etc. just food and toiletries. p.s. if you go to the bloomfied target and there is a lady at the returns counter that is perma-tweaked, looks like she's done wayyyyyyy to much crystal meth in her life, stay away. she won't help you. read more

Today, I stopped by this Target food court around 1:30pm for little snack. Mu wife ordered grilled cheese and individual pepperoni pizza. (This branch don't serve Pizza Hut Brand) After taking the order, "super (include sarcasm here) friendly" cashier named Hollie put the frozen pizza into a oven and later when we got our pizza, it was way overcooked..Burnt!! So when I went over to ask nicely about the pizza I received. I literally said the word "Umm" then before I was able to continue, she says this " This is not a pizza hut so this is how it is here." Really??!!!! So I asked "So you guys always make pizza like this?" And hollie answered with "Yes". And I asked again with little frustration in my tone.."So there's nothing you can do about this?" She answers with "No".....not even one point was she ever apologetic, nor corteous, she was straight out "Why-am-I-here-working-I-Dont-want-to-be-here" kind of attitude!! So we went and asked for a refund and she just gave us cash w/o saying anything...most terrible Target experience ever, not planning on going back to this location from now on.. read more

This target sucks. I mean really sucks. I was hungry for the wonderful target popcorn & soda deal at the snack bar that closes at 8pm... At least that's what the sign says. I thought to myself, self it's only 6:50 let's go get some popcorn and maybe pick up some tracing paper while in there... I arrived at this always crowded parking lot at 7:12 pm. Went inside and snack bar was closed. No popcorn, no lights. The sign clearly showed that it closes at 8. Shame on you target. Not only are your aisles always filled with crap that I don't need, and never have the stuff that I do need.... But you have proven yourself to be liars as well. My friend said let's get your tracing paper....I looked at her and said. " Are you f***** crazy? I wouldn't give that target any of my money ever again. Yes this is all over popcorn! I will never go to target again. Ever! Not only that...I will write to Walmart to start selling freshly made popcorn. Farewell bullseye. Really, this Target is okay. I haven't had a bad experience here, although I do agree with Mike: I don't know why this one is still standing. It should have been gone long ago, but for some reason, God favors this location. There's a Target Greatland (Greatland! mind you) a little further down across the street from the Los Cerritos Center. There are hardly any Greatland Target's around here. If you still choose to stop here, something must not be right and you need to reassess your priorities. This prime real estate is underutilized. I say that the city of Cerritos come in and make another shopping center at this corner to suck away more business from the competition in Lakewood and La Palma. Just so long as more stores are added and the damn Target is replaced with something more impressive and high-end. Cerritos does have many cases of redundancy when it comes to stores. Look at the two Chick-Fil-A's at the Cerritos mall and (until recently) the two Starbucks across the street from each other in the same Los Cerritos Center commercial zone. But seriously, I'd like to see a high-end shopping center go up where this Target currently stands because it's old and redundant and I'd much rather see some form of gentrification over people too lazy to drive the extra mile to the Greatland. read more

Terrible customer service from cashier Celest. Cashiers are not properly trained nor do they know what empowerment is. They are very stringent at letting you use coupons. Or the cashiers are just afraid to screw up so they sacrifice good service for it. Their reason for not taking lots of coupons is cause they're a smaller store. I absolutely LOVE shopping here & just recently used their curbside pickup option and I was very impressed and pleased with how accurate & quick they were! Curbside pickup is 100% CONTACT FREE! When you choose the option it even asks which door you would like them to place items in OR trunk, you show your confirmation number through your window and it's packed in your car and ready to go! Great if you have kids, pets or simply don't feel like interacting much in public! I believe there was a 2 hour wait for order to be ready for pickup. Great customer service! read more

Be careful about trusting a worker you speak to on the phone. You may speak to a guy named Andrew at 6:00pm only to find out Andrew got off at noon. So what's the real truth? Did Andrew lie when he said he put something on hold? Or did someone pretend to be Andrew and just create a fib about an item being in stock? Who is a guy to trust? More importantly, what do I tell my nephew about a toy he was promised but can no longer be found? My thoughts...stick to the Cypress, Lakewood, or Seal Beach Targets. Now I'm the kind of girl that thinks Target is the happiest place on earth, so much so that I once took a friend to Target for the first time ever, and we were there from lunchtime till after sunset, so I never, EVER thought I would rate Target a 1 star. However, this is the worst Target EVER (except maybe the one in Culver City, but I haven't lived by there in almost 10 years and I can't remember the specifics). How is it that this store never has ANYTHING that I want? Leave Target without dropping at least $40 bucks? Is that even possible? Here, yes. Granola bars I like (2 separate brands): no Frozen meals I like to keep at work for emergencies: no veggie products half the price of the supermarket: big NO cute designer clothing of the month: NO Toilet paper in less than a million pack: no Cute colored undies in bins: no need I go on? Why is this place still open? There are carts EVERY WHERE randomly placed all around the front of the store. They have 12 registers & only two people working the registers with massive lines. They have a promotion going on & the employee's seem very confused about it. So, now I'm the jerk for holding up the line. I shop at this Target all the time because I live across the street. Whenever I visit a different Target, though, I realize how poorly managed ours is. The front entrance of the store is always dirty with a full trash can full of cigarette butts on top. Concrete is sticky, soiled and has lots of old gum on it. Nothing that a hose, bucket and brush wouldn't fix. I always get the feeling that the locusts have just come through right before when I am shopping. I don't know if they are short on staff, or what, but the shelves and cases are always in need of attention. I love shopping at my Target, but wish it were managed better. read more

MY FAVORITE TARGET IN THE UNIVERSE! Okay, I have a large confession - I make weekly trips to Target which kills my wallet sometimes, but I love them anyways. I usually spend about 2-3 hours just looking at stuff. It's amazing what you can find on sale. The clearance sections is my favorite of all. Sometimes you have to look into all the isles to find some of the clearance stuff, but usually they're in the end of the isle - you'll see it when you know it. My favorite is when they have seasonal product sale which usually can go up to 90% off - which the highest I seen, but starts at 50%. One weird fact about this Target is THEY HAVE LEGIT ASIAN PRODUCTS! I remember going into this target when they first had the new grocery section in and I was walking through the dry item/food isle and I saw like my soy baked chips, ramune, mae ploy (Thai chili sauce) and gochujang and my favorite imported Japanese tea. I was in heaven in the fact that I have another source of getting some of my asian food just in case my Asian markets ever destoryed itself. (hah) But those food are in small portions, so if you want more than that, it's better off to go to a legit Asian market. Note: It's a smaller Target than the one of South, but this one you have more deals and hidden items. read more

I literally go to target once a week and have never felt the real need to write a review until today. I really wanted to say how wonderful my experience was at Target today. Gary was our cashier and he talked to each of my kids individually while we checked out. He asked their names and even asked how they were doing in school. He talked to them about the importance of staying on the nice list and he even explained that the red phones at target are a direct line to Santa for target staff to report on kids behavior. All in all....Today's quick experience felt genuine, sincere, and friendly. My kids even talked about it all the way home. Thank you, Gary!!! read more

Made a quick stop to pick up a baby shower themed gift card. I had to call the store while I was in the store because I wasn't receiving help from employees. Took them over 20 minutes to tell me they are out. Asked for a generic gift card. They had no envelopes to put the paper card in. Ended up buying diapers. Lines were super long. Tried using self check out but machine stopped working. Finally checked out just to find that my car was broken into. Came in for a gift card, left with lousy customer service experience and down 600 dollars due to a pleasant theft that may have been averted if I wasn't stuck in your store for so long. Luckily, I think this store is an outlier. Shop at another target, unless you like to waste your time and money. read more

I'm sad to see how downhill this Target has gone over the years-I've been coming here since they opened their doors, but no more, and here is why: I had been in recently on a weekend morning to shop and found the ladies clothing department to be a complete disaster with clothing on hangers all over the floor and the t-shirt and jeans tables in complete disarray, it looked like the overnight stocking crew had a "kegger" in the store. It's nearly impossible to shop when the store is dirty and disorganized and I ended up just leaving. I had chalked it up to a bad night, but returned several weekends later to find the store in much the same condition. And more recently, I had an online order to pick up and had a terrible time at the customer service desk. There were 5 (I counted) customer service employees milling about near the customer service desk doing nothing but standing in the customer's way. The employee that finally helped me just scanned my app, confirmed my id and then walked away without saying anything about going to get my items, I was just left there standing with my phone and id in my hand. They eventually returned with my items and Yes, I did find someone who said they were in charge of the customer service desk and tell them about all the trouble but I was met with a half-hearted apology. There are other Targets in the area that are much better managed and I will be going to those stores from now on. read more

I went in here today to get shaving cream. I'm not real picky about shaving cream, so I just buy the least expensive brand, usually Barbasol. So I walk on back to the shaving cream aisle, whilst dodging several packs of unsupervised kids playing hide and seek or tag in the store and the occasional shopper driving their cart without looking where they are going. Seriously, they need to put stop signs at the end of every aisle, otherwise, everybody assumes that they have the right of way! So I finally make it back to the shaving cream section relatively unscathed, and wouldn't you know it... They are completely out of Barbasol! Really? There was a run on Barbasol? At 10:00 in the morning no less! Seriously it can't be that popular. Maybe some high school kids bought a shitload last night for a prank or something! As I am standing there pondering what to buy instead of Barbasol, a lady wheels her shopping cart down the aisle with two kids in it. When she parks the cart to actually look at an item, the two kids proceed to start taking things off the shelf, briefly look at them and then throw them on the floor. I quickly decide upon an alternate brand of shaving cream and proceed to the checkout lines. There's maybe 5 lines open and all of them are long, maybe 5 to 7 people in each line. But what really makes this unbearable is the number of young children screaming and crying. It was like a nursery! I felt like Arnold in "Kindergarten Cop".... I will gladly go to the grocery store and pay twice as much for my shaving cream just so I don't have to experience that again! read more

This is by far my favorite Target Store. I like the manageable size and the easy to navigate lay out. I never feel stressed out coming or leaving here. There is a grocery section in this store. They have a very good, although limited, selection. Another section has the Big Buys ( that is in large quantities - great for non-perishables like paper towels). Great bargains available on the clearance areas - usually at the ends of aisles - for seasonal decor or serve ware, candles also seem to be always in the clearance rack. I shop those end racks for unusual items that I would probably not try otherwise, because of the price. Good prices especially on children's clothes & toys. Remember to ask for your gift receipt! Employees are very helpful and friendly. Prices are clearly posted and stock on the shelves is usually plentiful. They accept manufacturers' coupons, and often offer $5 card for your next shopping trip (for qualified purchases)- I like that kind of quick reward. I did not know you can also have a Red Card that gets you 5% off everyday! (Time fro me to look into getting myself one). Easy returns (with receipt of course), Parking is spacious, but I try to park on the outer fringes. Somehow those two or three areas right in front of the main entrance get so busy. I like that Target contributes something to the surrounding schools if you save & turn in those receipts to the school. read more

I received the best customer service from a Target yesterday by the Manager on Duty Emilie. Emilie surprised me with her due diligence in find us the product we were looking for. She had people looking all over the store for it. Emilie took our names & phones and promised to call us when she located the product we were looking for. Sure enough, an hour later Emilie called us as promised to let us know that they had the product and that she would keep it on hold for us. Now that's customers service. Kudos to Target in having a great customer service manager. read more

Haven't been to this location in months. Kind of a sad deal. Needed some medicine for allergies. Thought perhaps things might have changed so I stopped in. Yeah... dreamer. This place is so run down. The buyers here need to be trained. For the sake of all you have scanner guns that tell you what to order. But still countless holes in inventory. They have an end aisle display that looked like they raked bags of beef jerky into a pile. If I was jack links company I would be upset. Anyway.... I got to overhear the staff cursing telling what they thought was a funny story about a personal thing that happened. I'm really not sure what's going on with this place. Sketchy outside with homeless people begging for money to the lack of concern for customers needs inside. The people running this store along with the regional rep checking in with this store need to get it together and have a serious meeting. I would even go as far as terminating the top managers here along with regions rep(s) looking over this place. Start over! I now drive 15 minutes out of my way to seal beach where it's like the gates of heaven there. Lived in this community most of my life. Been shopping at this place back when it was gemco. Targets just close by to home. Do I love target? Not really especially since the security guard turned away a homeless person. Seriously? Plus i dont like the idea of those target cards. Would i support a big business like target if there werent any other options? Not really. Was the customer service? It depends on the days, the people, and who they are. Not really a fan of target and its overly priced for their items. Their trying to change their system and open up more chains around local areas but seriously be careful of which businesses you support and where you spend your money.
