What a nightmare. I shopped here on a Saturday at 10-10:45am with the intention of using a gift card. One cashier was working who was very slow despite her line; even looking up other store locations on her phone (for) and chatting with her 1st customer in line. When she yelled out we could use the self checkout, I made a beeline for it (there's only one in this store). Unfortunately I was behind two others; the customer using this pos (point of sale) apparently had never used one before, obvious for many reasons. And frustrating. Of course my (new) Target gift card wouldn't work. I used my debit card to avoid holding up the line further and headed to the service desk, fed up. Because the ink was too light on my (just printed) receipt to make an easy adjustment, my purchase had to be completely returned & re-rung up in order to use my gift card. Employee Patricia was great & I told her so. I won't return unless I have a gift card to use. I would've bought more this visit if the (3) items I wanted were in stock. read more

The place looks newer based on the streetview but man the restroom is atrocious. The service is average but they have more items in stock that other locations don't. I think the place isn't highly shopped. But, at the end of the day... I'm most bothered that the DriveUp options aren't always available for this location for whatever reason and one must walk in which means spend more money. We walked in and the front of the store smells STRONGLY of urine. It's throughout the entire store but the front was by-far the worst. I asked a friend who lives nearby and he told me that the store always smells that way and that he won't go to this location because of it. Besides that, Normal target. read more

This location is like many targets except they have a small and limited food section. I don't know what happened when they did the layout, but it's smaller in the food area and the same size as other locations in the other areas. There is no produce. Weird! The staff are nice and friendly. The wait time is decent. They have more black hair care products then the other stores in the charlotte area. The parking lot is structured differently, but I guess it's not there daily since it's a shared lot. Overall nice location. Happy shopping! read more

Horrible drive up service. Out of every employee I've come in contact with there's only young man I can say is a very pleasant person.

I come here as a last resort because it's in my neighborhood. The store is clean and well organized Howe there are a lot of empty shelves and a lot of items that appear in the weekly ad cannot be found at this location. My biggest complaint is self check out is not an option and there's usually only one or two checkout lines that are open at a time! I rather go to the location in Midtown off of Metropolitan. read more

This target is not as good as the one in Mattews, because that one is not only bigger but it has a Starbucks as well and also has a produce section. This target has no fruits or veggies and has a very small selection of grocery products. Some of the younger staff is also rude when checking you out. One time this girl was checking me out and my card declined (this was a debit card that only had a few dollars on it) I told her i only wanted that to pay part of it and she told me if i can afford it i shouldn't buy it. I almost walked out but i just gave her my other card and left. Very disappointed! read more

This Target is right down the street from my parents house. Literally. So short of a distance. I came here despite the fact the Wal-Mart is closer because the quality is slightly better on clothing, which is what I was looking for. I will be honest. I am currently living in the New Orleans metro area, home of the Saints. I am not into the sportsballs of any sort, but I want to goad on some of my co-workers, so I got a Carolina Panthers shirt for when they play. LOL. The parking lot in front is HUGE! The store is nice and large with wide aisles. The selection of clothing is great. Of course, I am coming from a place where the nearest Target is about half the size of this, and it has been awhile since I have been to a Target in the Charlotte area. I have found the cashiers to be helpful in everyway. I am sorry I didn't snap any pictures while I was here to post on YELP to help guide others. read more

Target is Target. It doesn't matter if you pronounce it "Tar-gee" or not, it's still Target. This location off of Albemarle Rd is your typical Target. It's pretty clean and the staff are friendly. Also typical food court in the front offers starbucks and the intoxicating smell of popcorn.... bad for all the moms with little kids. They may as well be selling funnel cakes. The only thing I really detest about this Target is the parking lot. People just freely weave in and out of the parking lot rows like there are now lines and I've had many-a-close-call here. And lots of finger shaking out the window. There are no excuses to why you would totally cut through empty parking spaces just to get out of a, yes-poorly designed lot... but no excuses! read more

Target. Target. Target. I don't come here often. When I can't find things at my usual stores, I'll try to find what I'm looking for here. This is not the cleanest target I have been to. I try to come to this location during the morning or early afternoons. The bathrooms are always a disaster. Floors are always messy. Which is a surprise to me because I come to this store during the first part of the day. One would think it would be clean upon opening. It wouldn't be so bad if this store was kept somewhat cleaned. The staff is usually very friendly. They are good at assisting if I need help. I seem to have trouble finding times when I come to this location. This is definitely a smaller target. Check out lines are always a breeze here. That's another bonus. read more

I used to go to target for simple things, that I needed. But today 11/20/18. I was asked if I was okay and I responded with "I am good I'm just looking for my sister." The two male workers busted out laughing for no reason. They were not laughing before I got there. I am a proud gay man. But this is ridiculous and I am never going back. This store has terrible cashiers! They actually don't work with the customer. They are so rude! Most cashiers even speak with such attitude. They DO NOT price match to target online. Say what you will about Target, but I was pumped as heck when this one started business--this area of town needed a little more reason to come to it. I find this Target to be extremely convenient, both because of its location (not far from Uptown, and right off the highway if you're coming from that direction) and because it HAS EVERYTHING YOU COULD EVER NEED, from foodstuffs to bathroom equipment. This Target is like most Targets, which is to say it's super clean, cheap, well-organized, and fairly easy to navigate. This one also has a lot more food options than other ones I've seen, from drinks to frozen foods. Also, there's a Starbucks here, so you can be caffeinated while you shop. Finally, there's a ton of parking, so it's as accessible as you'd expect. read more

As soon as I walked in it reeked of urine. Very unpleasant. I only came to shop for clothes so I didn't visit the other sections of the store. They had great clearance prices that seemed a lot lower than the uptown locations clearance prices, but the downfall was that clearance was scattered throughout the regularly priced items. It's a Target. Not the best, cleanest, fanciest Target I've ever been to, but not the worst, either. Helpful staff (on my visits when I've needed help), and generally does not suffer from out-of-stock problems. I also like the fact that it shares a parking lot with a gas station and a Lowe's Home Improvement - easier to get more things done at one general stop. Prices are on-par with other Targets. This location does, however, have a very odd layout that I'm not a fan of. Electronics awkwardly in the corner next to pharmacy and personal health. You literally go from razors and shaving cream on one aisle to printer cartridges on the next. read more

This Target lacks the merchandise that other Targets have. Not sure why because of where it is located at what. No Starbucks, the food area closes way too early, and it does not have all of the items that other Targets have. Very disappointing. The store is clean enough and the customer service is fine. I looked online for a book and it said the book was in stock. I get to the store and the sales lady told me that they are reorganizing so they would not be able to give sell me the book. Some of the cashier's have major attitude issues and surprisingly they aren't the younger generation, but the older cashier's. They're always short staffed at the cashier's and the place could use a big time deep cleaning. Maybe new flooring through the clothing section. Overall not the best experience but get what you need and get out type of atmosphere. read more

Let me start off by saying, I love Target. I especially love quiet Targets which can be tricky to find around the Charlotte area as people seem to love them as much as I do! Thankfully the Target on Albemarle Rd isn't just the closest location to me, but also the quietest. I'm sure the reason for that is because there isn't a huge amount of housing close by, never the less, it's a great store. Everything is always clean, organized and the staff here are really helpful. The pharmacy is efficient and knowledgable when I have had to ask questions. And as a bonus, there are almost never any lines to check out! Definitely the best Target in Charlotte. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this particular Target location. The staff is always super friendly, the parking is easy, and it's near my work, so those are all the positives. The selection is what irks me. I think that it is under-merchandised compared to other Targets in the area. So, if you are looking for an expansive clothing or homegoods sections, nope not at this one. I would definitely recommend checking out a different location. If you are there to pick up pantry staples, this location is fair. However, and I am sure I will come to regret this in the next holiday season, this location was my jam for picking up website-placed orders. I was able to score some Star Wars Legos sets for my cousin that none of the other locations had or were available in other area toys stores. Hence, love/hate. read more

I like to shop at Target cuz it is a lot better then the WalMart across the street. The only problems I have here is the fact that there is always long lines and you see like 5 or more employees standing around talking or on cell phones and most are rude. I buy new release movies on the day they release, Tuesday's, at least once a month. Every single time I shop here they never have their inventory stocked and updated. Products will be in the ad but they will never be on the shelves. It sometimes takes two or three weeks for this store to get items other target stores receive. I want to shop here but the constant disappointment makes me reconsider shopping here every time I need something. Please fix your inventory and please direct your electronics employees to stock the shelves to be ready for Tuesday movie releases. Also, this location desperately needs a self checkout. read more

Love this Target! Cleanest in town. Clothing racks are not overfilled and are evenly spaced. Customer service is excellent. Great sales and good product selection. Somethings are more expensive than the Walmart across the street, but many things are not, and many things cannot even compare, quality wise. Big book selection and great sales! read more

I'm a target fan through and through. If I need something from a store and there is a Walmart right in front of me, I'll bypass it and go out of my way to go to Target. I've had a few bad experiences at my local Northlake Target store but that still hasn't stopped me. I was in the area on Albemarle Rd and needed a few things and stopped here. Walking in I noted it was your general Target store but as I started browsing the clothes (clearance shopper!) I was asked I was asked if I was finding everything alright by an extremely nice lady with a smile on her face that was looking right at me. I answered and went about my business. There were no clothes on the floor and all were hung nice and neat. Most of the time they are strewn all over the place in the clearance section. Later on as I was in another place of the store I was greeted again with a smile and friendly worker. I've never been greeted like this in any target that I've been to! Overall this was a nice and clean target with friendly workers. Area of course isn't the best and the layout is a little weird. But if I was in the area Id love to stop back by! read more

I give this Albemarle Rd store 5 Stars, they are friendly, helpful and Pete in the returns and customer service area is great. This store is much more helpful than the Matthews store. read more
