It's a Target.. Before the remodel of the store it carried a wider variety of items. They no longer have a bakery, or a deli , The selection of what they do carry has been greatly reduced. In the deli area everything appears prepackaged and to be their own brand. read more

You may say Target is Target but the reason I give this branch 5 stars is because some of the Targets are like the super centers and extra large in size and this is one of those. The food section at this target is not one of those smaller size like you find in some of the stores but it is a very large full size food store and well stocked and extremely clean. 1 thing I notice about this store is it looks immaculate when you walk in. Went to the fitting room at this target and a middle aged Hispanic woman wearing a floral scarf, no visible name tag was working. She did not look up from the cart she was folding on so I said can I just go in? She said yes and I said cool thanks. She stayed facing the cart and as I walked in she mocked me saying "cool thanks!" in a 'dumb dumb' voice. I stopped in my tracks, I couldn't believe she was making fun of me to my face in a dressing room. She just went on folding. Very unprofessional. read more

I really like the target brand and they shouldn't of gotten rid of the bakery, deli, or the meat departments! Why do you sell "freshly baked bread" when there's no bakery? You don't, and you also don't have fresh the fresh sandwiches like you use to. I'm sure that bakery, deli, and meat department was irrelevant, as everything was likely already shipped in and not fresh like the packaging indicates. It's just sad if you ask me. I always thought that Target would stay true to, well what we've always gotten from them. Now it's not quite Walmart, but starting to become that way. The store was nice and clean and so were the staff a usual target experience the reason I give it three stars was there were two lanes open when we were checking out about a total of seven people. There was one line with one person and another with 6 or so. We asked the lady with one person if she was still open she said yes and we got in line. The manager named tova I think then yelled at her and said she was closed and off we go to the long line. Then she goes over and yells at the cashier and berates her in front of everyone which I personally thought if there was a problem to take care of it behind close doors not to embarrass her In front of everyone. I also think she should have let us check out with her since we already in line whatever the issue I think the manger tova handled it poorly. She was rude and condescending to the staff and the patrons. Not to mention she was dressed poorly. I know target has a strict dress code and wage did not fit the billl. Her clothes were all wrinkled and unkept. Her shirt was a beat up flannel. She did not look prepared to be at work. The irony is we now had to wait 25 minutes to check out and soon as we are the only People left in line the manger opened another register. So now they have two registers for one couple as before they had one for 7 couples. Overall a good experience except on check out and watching the poor girl get berated just trying to help us. We felt bad for her. Not happy with the unprofessional dress and attitude of the management will be trying a different target in the future read more

I have been in town for the holidays and have being shopping several times this week at the Clear Lake Shores Target. I keep noticing this one employee that is very rude to the employees and customers. She speaks to people in a very disrespectful manner. The name on her tag was Tova. She dresses very unprofessional with a bandanna on her head. I don't think she needs to scream at employees in front of the customers. I think she needs anger management. Management needs to address this issue. read more

I will always pick a Target over a WalMart any day but today this location really let me down. My cashier, the one who wore several earrings and a big red bow, wiped her nose repeatedly on her hands and then proceeded to handle my food items as she checked me out. These were big dramatic wipes--no little 'oh im so embarrassed" wipes. Ick. She never uttered a syllable to me--no hello, how ya doin, please or thank you. She did sniff snot repeatedly, if that counts as any sort of greeting at all. I know it said a lot to me, but nothing positive. read more

This is probably my favorite Target location and I have two to choose from -- this one and the Baybrook location. Seriously, this Target is like a little secret Target that no one else knows about but me. I realize that is not actually the case but sometimes it feels like that since even on weekends it's hardly crowded. I hate waiting in long lines to check out and that never seems to be a problem here. They also have great clearance sections and really awesome fresh prepared foods in the deli section. The Italian sandwich is one of my favs. You can pop in and out quickly but beware, I can never leave this place without spending at least $50. I hope you have the ability to resist sales more than I do. read more

When I need peanut butter and toilet paper but feel like spending an extra $100 on things I didn't even know I wanted, I come to Target. This is my local Target so it gets the majority of my business by default, it is not however, my favorite. It is a "Super" Target so it has all of the basic dry goods and sundries in addition to a grocery section. Which is nice and super convenient. Be warned, the layout of this store is funky. I know it pretty well yet I still find myself walking back and forth looking for items all the time. It's just not intuitive. Also, they have tons of registers yet only 2-3 ever seem to be open, it's like a no-mans land and mildly depressing. So despite the crappy organization and lack of available registers this location is alright in a pinch. read more

Good store. I've been to lots of Targets SE and SW of Houston, this one is the best. The place always looks clean and you can always find parking. When it comes to food and electronics, you're going to find the same brands at Walmart at about the same price. The Dollar Spot is always good for finding some small neat thing you didn't know you wanted and it's usually less than $5. They also make nice clothing, Mossimo and those brands. Fun shirts, too. I've noticed lately that there are fewer employees, I'm told it's because they only have 2 employees for each section, one covers electronics and that side of the store, the other covers from toys to furniture and all the health and beauty aids stuff. Same thing in the clothing department, one person to cover phones/dressing room and women's and one for all the rest. 10 years ago you'd have at least 4 in clothing and 4-5 to cover the rest. I hope the savings are worth the downturn in neatness/quality. Regardless, I've been going to this Target since 2005 and it will continue to be my Target of choice. read more

I was very impressed with the fresh selection of vegetables that this location had. I usually shop at a couple different grocery stores, but I stopped by before picking up my boys from school. I went in for a couple items and was able to everything I needed. Very nicely kept store. The butcher was very approachable and helpful as well. I left feeling a little lifted up! read more

So this is how a Target is suppose to be! It's not amazing... it's a Target. But when you compare it to the one near my house, one would think that you'd died and gone to discount store heaven. This Target is right by my house. There is also a Walmart about a block away. I always choose the Target when possible. This is a super target with groceries. It is clean, well lit, and has friendly staff. The selection and quality is hands down better than Walmart. It is never overly crowded either so your are usually in and out quickly. As a bonus they usually have some great clearance deals. Of course the people watching is not nearly as fun as Walmart. read more

Great location, and a good store. Everything is super spread out and spacious and not cramped together. The associates I've encountered have been seriously amazing, with personality and really seem to enjoy their job. Seeing that being a former VM with Target, it was refreshing to see. Also, since I was a VM in shoes, I have to say that the shoe dept for this location was well put together -- better than most stores I've seen. It just needs to have the zone kept up. The fitting rooms, and the softlines floors were clean when I went, which is also a plus. I accidentally dropped a light bulb I brought in on the floor which shattered, and a nearby associate immediately went to go get the broom and dustpan, which was great. Only concern I had about that is it being best practice that team members are supposed to stay at the spill site and have another team member grab the supplies to clean it. Can be dangerous to guests. Other than that one thing, this is a great store. read more

My review of the store itself is based on a trip there six months ago, so having said that, let me focus on the store to be fair. They had some nice grocery items on sale , and I wanted to get a little variety in my diet so I bought a few items. Pretty considerate help, which was the case when I used to frequent this location to get dvds, buy a tv, candles, whatever. Now I will not go anymore ,as in years past I've not given them business for various and sundry reasons. They were a big corporate sponsor years ago of the Minnesota Vikings, and at the time Minnesota threatened to move to Los Angeles, which would have been fine with me. So, I thought if their sales slide maybe they'll bail out on the Vikings and the Vikings will lose a big sponsor, and they'll move. Another time I saw on their corporate web site that they were experimenting with putting RFID chips in their products, so I had a moratorium. This time its probably permanent as their corporation is allowing transgenders to go into whatever dressing room/bathroom they choose. Maybe this store isn't, but the company policy is such. Nope wont be a sponsor of that, and that's the other side of Yelp, that you can acknowledge why you wont support a corporation. read more

I was looking for a cake for Boss,s day on October 16, 2013. I went to the Target in Kemah. There was one cake there. I asked the worker behind the counter if I could have Happy Boss,s Day written on it. He told me the girl was at lunch and would be back in 30 minutes. I told him I would be back in 30 minutes. There was an employee about to leave for the day. He was about to walk out the door but instead he came over and asked me what I wanted written on the cake. He said he would decorate the cake for me so I wouldn,t have to wait the 30 minutes. That is what I call great service! I didn't get his name but I was there around 11:30 am on October 16 2013. It is employees like him who take the time to help that makes people come back to your store. I think this employee should be recognized for his great customer service. Kemah is the best Target around and that is because of employees like the one who took the time to help me. He is awesome! and if you have an employee of the month I vote for him! read more
