I went in this store to buy wedding stuff and was approached by a cop and was told I looked like someone that has been in that store before stealing. I've never even been In this hobby lobby in my life. It was completely embarrassing. They approached several customers and did the same thing. I left everything in my basket and walked out. The customer service here sucks, it's really like they do their best to NOT be helpful... I needed help finding a second item just like the one I was already going to buy and they refused to tell me if they had more like it. "We don't keep inventory on what we have in our store" said Ms. angel the manager I spoke with. Already on more then one occasion she completely disregarded my concerns and tries to deflect by say something its "policy". I really enjoy crafts of all kinds and Hobby Lobby has a little bit of everything. This store is nice. I've never had any issues with sales people on the floor. The only issues I have are: they did away with the 40% off coupon, the prices are high so they can afford to offer 50% off seasonal items, the sale ads can be misleading - one time they said "all yarn" was discounted, so my daughter picked out some yarn and was told that wasn't the yarn on sale - the ad was referring to cotton thread and embroidery thread...which we do not call "yarn". I was surprised Hobby Lobby would call it "yarn". Another time I went to get a frame - all picture frames were on sale - but not the frame I picked out. It was a picture frame...had the glass, the paper pic of the unknown person, and the easel on the back - it was not a custom frame - just a nice picture frame. Also this year I purchased some of the 1/2 off Fall decorations - the metal sunflowers for the yard, 1/2 off was still $15 because reg price was $29.99....but I found the same exact thing at dollar tree for $6 . So you might want to check dollar tree before you buy. We had an old WWII photo framed, and they did a beautiful job. But overall if you are crafty and need it "now"...Hobby Lobby is the place to go if $tree doesn't have it. Bring back the 40% off 1 item coupon - that always got me to come to the store whether I needed anything or not and I never left with just one item...so from marketing viewpoint, I believe the coupon was a good draw to the store for most of us. read more

pretty much my go-to place for frames & crafts associates are a bit hard to locate, so visit with patience (they're used to catering to crafty artists...) don't forget about the continuous and ongoing coupons and discounts that are readily available if you don't find the coupon you want, you may find a 40% off coupon on your smart phone & simply show it to the clerk read more

Framing department here has outstanding customer service. Dell took time with me to pick just the right custom framing for some really special watercolors we bought on vacation in Bosnia. He was patient, helpful, and enthusiastic about his job. They also have a great tool to help visualize your framing choices on the computer. Very happy with my choice at this store. read more

I was on vakay and was just shopping around. I was surprised to find all art pads at 40% off! I was able to stock-up since I use various media for my presentations. The Hobby Lobby in Baytown, TX has terrible customer service. If you have a problem DO NOT speak to the front managers....always ask for the store manager. The front managers seem to feel very important and do not deal with the customer in a very friendly manner. So...do not waste your time with them and ask to speak to the higher ups! The store manager needs to talk to his employees and let them know that the customer should be and is always number ONE! read more
