I like this Target at Meyerland Plaza. It's hidden away from Freeway and Beechnut. With that big parking lot and a parking garage by HEB, I could really shop at ease during the holidays. I came here to buy a pair of shorts. Online price said one price and shelf said a higher price. I had to use customer service to get it corrected. What a hassle. This is the Target over by Meyerland, which of course gets pretty busy. We like it, but I'm not a fan of Target in general, which I find to be just a slightly upgraded Walmart with twice the prices on most things. However, when I need something specific that Walmart doesn't carry or only has really bad versions of it, it's great to pop in here. This one is pretty busy, but not as busy as some of the others in Houston, and there's usually more parking than you'd expect at a Target, because Meyerland honestly isn't as popular as some of the other mall areas. read more

It generally has short lines and has a self-service stations. There is a grocery section to this target, which is okay. It offers the everyday normal groceries, washing powder, trash bags, etc. I am just hoping that this ordering online and pick-up in store issue... Was just a fluke! An abhorrent experience. The entire floor is a mess and workers are at best unhelpful and at worst rude. I've been accused of shoplifting multiple times even accused of shoplifting my own items I have brought into the store. Something ironic seeing as teenagers from the nearby high school will freely shoplift in front of workers yet remain free of confrontation. Lacks a selection to chose from and the lackluster selection at hand is oftentimes ruined, stained, or partially stolen. Workers while scoff at you if you ask for them to do a price match belittling you right in your face for trying to get an item at the actual discounted price. Not to mention that the workers themselves will seem disgusted with you for asking for an electric shopping cart and argue that you "don't need it because you don't look disabled" (The car was needed for my elderly mother with bad knees) All around possibly the worst target store I have ever visited and target should consider closing this location. read more

I've come to realize that all Targets are not created equal. For instance, my local Super Target is the granddaddy ITL (inside the Loop) store and has been nipped and tucked to improve itself over the years. And, I thought it had all of the stuff all of the time. What kind of stuff, you ask? The kids call it "shiznit", whatever that means. After stopping in on a beautiful Saturday, I found that my desired items were out of stock.* So, I ambled over to Meyerland Plaza to this latest addition to the Houston Target family. Next to the JC Penney and across the parking lot from Stein Mart (two bastions of Old Lady Land), it looks like any other Target but has the benefit of being newer. The only downside is that during the holidays, the competition gets fierce for parking with those going to the other stores. At least with the South Main Super Target, its parking is all for just the Target. No sharing. Found my stuff and picked up a few more things for efficiency's sake. Out the door in less than 5 minutes since it was an early morning visit. But, on subsequent visits, I also noticed that the prices of products vary between the two locations - despite being just a few miles from each other. Odd but not enough to keep me from coming back. * What were the items I was looking for? I'm not telling - you know almost way too much about my life already from my other reviews. :) read more

So now that I have moved back home I am requiring lots of small things around the house from furniture, appliances, and overall groceries. When I used to live here I used to frequent the Target on Main, but I realized it was actually faster to visit this location even though it's a bit further, because it's right off the freeway. Also, we end up stopping by some of the other stores nearby vs the Main location, that's all you got right there. I signed up for their Red card, it gives you 5% off up front. This is better than almost any CC out on the market because all the others give you cash back vs this one gives it off right at check out. Target owns Wal-Mart in everything except price. But not having a headache or so worth the cents you might save. I like the way this store is organized and they always have many lanes open. The best part, if you order from the starbucks and pay with your Red Card you get 5% off too! read more

Not adhering to covid guidelines. Target said they'd still make masks mandatory, but the signs for masks at this location aren't outside, and I saw two customers and one cleaning person staff not wearing masks, or having the mask under their chin. There is nothing different from this location compared to any other location that I can report to you about. It's clean, uncluttered, invites well mannered employees to work here and almost has all the merchandise placed just like all of it's brother/sister locations. Parking is a plenty, it has your normal demons to victimize you but it is not immediately noticeable as ghetto. You will find this store on your right hand side if you are heading towards the missouri city area via 610/Galleria area. The other reviews across the board are very broad and opinionated as well so you will have to make your own personnel visit and assessment on this one. This is not a SuperTarget so do not expect an out of the ordinary variety of items. Bad customer service, but beautiful store layout/upgrades. I made a purchase and the cashier told me she was unable to print a receipt. I told her I'd like one for my business records. Her manager came over and explained that they could print a receipt, but it would take some time. No problem, as I was willing to wait. After a five minute wait, the manager shows me a print out of my purchase but says the document is not an official receipt. I offer to return the items and re-purchase them for a proper receipt. The manager says that's not possible, but I can return the items with no receipt and it will go against my ID. Why should that be the case when it was no error of my own?? It's really hard to review a Target. I mean, every single one can be summed up as, "Well, it's not amazing, but it's better than Wal-Mart." There are a ton of other stores in Meyerland Plaza, so parking is really hit or miss depending on what else is open and busy at the time. This Target always seems to be busy, though, which can generally be a good thing. This location has a Starbucks and a small café to the right when you walk in, but without the large eating areas of some other locations. Not sure if they're trying to keep the kids from lingering or what. The selection here is pretty comparable to any other Target I've been in. They're reasonably well stocked, I've never found them out of anything I've needed, though occasionally their selection can be lacking on items that I'm looking for. They've added self checkout lanes to alleviate some of the traffic at check out, but realistically, they just need to have an extra cashier or two on hand at all times and it would solve the problem. It seems like there are never more than two lanes open to check out, so you pretty much have to use the self-checkout if you plan on leaving within half an hour of getting to the register. read more

I'm pregnant and today I happened to be baby sitting. I could no longer carry a seven month old baby on my hip. So with the virus going on I put in an online purchase for a baby stroller. I waited 1.5 hours and went to the store to see if I could possibly pick it up. When I arrived I called guest services and explained to the person that picked up I was in dire need of the stroller and was waiting outside. She put the phone down and I could hear people in the background saying they could not find the stroller. I overheard the manager Veronica say it was ordered online and so it had to be in the store. When she got in the phone I explained my situation ( the virus, me being pregnant, and having an infant baby with me) and she told me I would have to wait the four hours it would be nothing she could do. I went into the store and could not find the stroller on the shelf. Martha a store associate stopped what she was doing to help me and even called around to see if someone had picked up the stroller. ( Carlos then told her that they had already informed me that the stroller was not in the store, which they never had done. )She even carried an alternative option to the front for me to purchase. When we got to the front she located the stroller sitting on the side of guest services for me and I was able to purchase what I went into the store to get. She even helped me check out and see the stroller up for me so that I could put the infant down. The store associate acted how the manager should have acted and I'm appreciative that Target has employees like her. Thanks Martha I hope you are able to have Veronicas job soon. read more

While one shouldn't diss Target this one isn't living up to its standards. My main issue with this particular Target is that it seems there are constantly long lines for no reason what so ever. They even added self check out lanes and that hasn't alleviated the problem. It doesn't help when you see workers just standing around doing nothing and looking at you defiantly when you dare interrupt them from their laziness to ask for help. I've noticed that sometimes things that I need are not stocked as often and that also applies to the Starbucks inside the Target that seems to always have a busy line or they're out of something, or they don't make it anymore. Why even go to that Starbucks when there's one in Meyerland plaza. In my mind, Target is the place you go too when wanting to escape Walmart, but considering I've seen better ones lately, I may have to avoid this place. I'll be back for emergency needs, but I don't see myself using this Target as a main go to store, when it seems their service is lacking, they don't hire enough cashiers, and the people they do hire stand around and do nothing until a manager passes by. I even saw one employee give attitude to their manager their once. Really? Today, I saw they had a "Now Hiring" sign. Hopefully, that will fix some of the problems. Will update if I see improvements. Just remember, not the best Target and go to the Starbucks store at Meyerland if you want to make sure they have your preferred drink. read more

I posted four stars because my initial experience with one specific employee (Paris) was the most exceptional retail experience. Guys, when do you ever go to like a big retail/grocery store, ask them for something in the back and they actually go and check. Paris was acting as an incredible human being, haven taken the time out and not just saying "We don't have have it." That being said, my whole experience was changed. After wanting to show my gratitude for Paris' work and meeting wit her rude manager (Kayla). It's like the requirements for manager is always stated," must be entitled and major ass hole). Granted, i don't know Kayla personally but it was the less than human treatment that i experienced when i approached her and she immediately ignored me. From that point on she seemed dismissive and not caring at all of all the great things her employee had done for us. this is my first review and I really wanted to 1) acknowledge the amazing person that cared for me and my friends even though she didn't have to. 2) get the message out that it doesn't matter what level you've made it to in life, you need to make it a priority to treat people with respect, at the least. also, has anyone seen that SouthPark episode about yelping? hella funny, "YELPERS NOT WANTED HERE!!" read more

Great place for shopping in my area. Prices are a little higher than other stores but the service is much better.

This Target location is convenient to my home and is fine when I need to pick up a few things or just have the urge to browse, but it's very small when compared with other locations across the city. This Target has the typical snack bar as well as a Starbucks station so it's convenient for when I want some coffee but don't want to wait in line at the "real" Starbucks located on the opposite side of Meyerland Plaza. The grocery section carries the essentials, but is considerably smaller than the S. Main location, and the clothing section just isn't as good as the San Felipe location. There are never enough registers open here so the lines become long, and it can be difficult to find parking during peak times (evenings and weekends) since Target shares the lot with several other Meyerland Plaza stores. Target Meyerland is appropriate for a quick trip when in the area but it doesn't stack up when compared with some of the larger Target locations across Houston. read more

The Location of this Target is in the heart of Meyerland Plaza. you can't miss it . I don't come here Often, but when I do I wish I did. It's always really clean. They have a frozen food and cold food section. The shelves are always well stocked. There is always a lot of families here. Strollers, babies cooing or screaming, kids (students) in their catholic school uniforms and young adults fresh from 24 hour fitness (across the street). The checkout Is usually fast. I don't recall ever seeing long lines. They also have a Pizza Hut and a Starbucks . Now that is awesome . read more

Target is the very antithesis of Walmart... Where Walmart seems darker and dimly lit, target is bright and vibrant. Where our neighborhood Walmart is disheveled and messy...target is clean, tidy and well put together... I live close by and stop here often...I don't mind paying a little extra versus Walmart because the service is better, the store is cleaner and better run... Convenient location with friendly familiar service makes this place a win! This particular location is located in Meyerland shopping center. I like this Target. I go here mostly because it's close to where I work. Since it's not a Super Target, it's sometimes annoying that they don't have things I need (like wine!). But the selections of clothes, shoes, accessories, and health/beauty products is usually very adequate. Only complaint (besides the lack of wine) is that it seems like there are never enough registers open. They seem to sometimes have the Walmart syndrome - rows of registers and only 2-3 are open. But the employees are usually pretty friendly. And there is a Starbucks in here, which can be nice. read more

This target is a complete let down. What's worst? Horrible management. The manager we met here was not friendly whatsoever. As a nurse, I treat my patients with excellent service and speak to them in a respectful friendly manner. Customers should be treated kindly and not in a rude manner. Name is: Michael. Skinny, bushy hair and scruffy face, with tattoos on his left arm. Never again. Going back to the nicer Targets way out in the burbs. Look out for this guy. Super shady. Gives customers an attitude.
