No longer has a Pizza Hut, sadly, so I miss that. Inside still a lot of the standard Target, it's been remodeled so all the basics are available, still.

If people would stop looting retailers, then maybe we wouldn't have to call associates to unlock the toothpaste. The grocery section is a joke on the weekend. Half the food is gone and the apples don't look very fresh. The frozen food aisle had a spill and there were just a bunch of napkins on the ground. Do they not have a janitor with a mop?

Please see attached picture of nothing in my hand. That's what we came away with. Nothing

I've been coming to this Target location in Jersey City for years. It's conveniently located which makes it very easy for me to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Don't want to keep reading? Here's your takeaway from this review "DON'T BUY GIFT CARDS HERE" In October, I purchased a $100 gift card for my coworker for her Birthday present. Like most individuals, it might take a month to actually find the time or need to use one. Upon giving the gift card in for a purchase she was told that the card is already in use and has a $0 balance. Thinking we could easily remedy this with the saved receipt, original credit card used for purchase, and a relatively short time from purchase to "use", we brought it back to this Target. The returns attendant called for manager assistance and we were flat out told that there's nothing they can do. "Call the number on the back" is what she stated. This is absolutely unacceptable and frankly, I'm embarrassed that my present to someone turned out this way. It's the Holiday season. If you're going to target, sure, buy an actual item; but DON'T BUY GIFT CARDS. They have no local contingency plans and will turn you away while someone else is spending your money. It's more than enough for me not to want to come back. Do they care that they lost a customer. Probably not, but this isn't how business should be conducted. Zero effort to escalate or find resolution.

(Shopped 12/21/21 TU @ 10:00am): This location was on target with my sensibilities of how I felt this brand should be! My friend needed some domestic products while I was visiting, so I tagged along to Target's Jersey City location just to roam the area and stretch my legs. I've grown to become a huge fan of the brand after an initial rough start with them. So, on this particular trip I made some unexpected yet fortuitous purchases. How was this store compared to the ones I frequented back in Los Angeles!? PURCHASE Sony Blu-Ray Player ($69.99): One of only two models currently available during this holiday time, I decided to buy this for my friend who actually needed a player for DVDs and Blu-Rays she had of non-streamed movies and performances. I was surprised at how small this unit was and the bare-bones features provided. With a power plug into the wall outlet and an included HDMI cable into the TV, everything was set up and ready to go! "James Bond No Time To Die" Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Target Exclusive ($26.99): Yes, I was in the minority of those who still bought - actually collected - such media primarily because of the bonus features, but these Target Exclusive versions always offered something even more cool with special additions, etc. Yes, most of my movie discs I now bought were of this type of variety so I was able to geek out over all the extras! Oreo Cookies Java Chip 17oz Package ($3.79): If you knew me, I loved trying all new limited flavor releases, and this was one of the better ones in recent times. Mainly a coffee-flavored ice cream, it was hard for me not to eat the entire package on the initial opening (I kept it to eight cookies equivalent to four servings). Maybe I'd buy coffee-flavored ice cream and crumble a couple of these cookies into it! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=GWTff1ywF2YmwOYKiPXxuA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE My friend knew exactly where she needed to go while I roamed freely and found things on my own. Otherwise, most of the staff was stocking the shelves, so any assistance was kept to a minimum. At the checkout areas, they had one female who directed traffic to open registers while our cashier was chill and efficient. All was fine with what we needed. PARKING (FREE) They had their own private parking lot with sufficient spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A large box warehouse that was well-organized and spaced out among aisles upon aisles stocked well with products. I loved the clear signage that addressed each aisle and the vibrant visual displays that gave this an appealing inviting store; it was a shame the stores I frequented weren't as welcoming as this one. Plenty of natural lighting came through the large front glass walls and sliding doors while a myriad of electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=FHjKjOIYpAqOkQn1pIDFDw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Jersey City's Target location was a nice surprise and made me a bit jealous that this wasn't even close to "my" Targets. Although this was only a single-level store, it was very expansive and seemed to carry as much if not more than the two-level stores I shopped at. The prices, product selection, organization, and service were all on-point and consistent with other Target stores I've been to. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $104.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Plan to spend a lot of time. But maybe you'll make friends as you stand in line for 30/40 min!

Just a HORRIBLE experience... Selection is standard and employees try their best. But 2 lines of 25 plus people waiting to check out for a few items (or full cart) when the store is only moderately busy at best. Half of self serve lanes shut down. Just an absolutely HORRIBLE experience and you better budget 30/40 min even if you want only one or two things.

I came to make a return of a gift stroller received through the baby registry. The item was missing a part and I simply needed to return it so that I could order another more expensive stroller. Upon request, the customer service manager "Lisa"denied my return, stating the reason was that target's policy is not to accept returns of items over $100 in value without the original box. I asked where this was stated and she told me it is online, there when you sign up for the baby registry, and posted in the store. I checked in all 3 of these places to verify this return policy and found nothing documented that supported what she said. Therefore, this "no original box return policy" was not true and likely a way to deny the retuen. She then told me that I had to call Target guest relations to resolve this instead. After calling guest relations, two representatives also confirmed that this is not an actual return policy that they are aware of, so they will call the store to seek a resolution Then with the guest relations rep on the phone with the manager, it turns out all the manager needed to do was scan my return receipt and enter the item number in to accept the return. I spent almost an hour in the store because of the manager's refusal to accept a return on the premise of a policy that doesn't exist. This should never be the case for any customer. This manager should be retrained on Target's policies and how to engage with customer's in a non-agressive way. It looks like she simply didn't want the hassle of getting the item number to process the return. Because of this lack of concern for the customer and overall poor experience I will never purchase on a baby registry, or buy another high ticket or large item from target again.

Here's what awaits you if you to this target--

Long lines, slow cashiers. Longlines for self service too. Not worth it. Most checkout lanes are closed even during their busiest time.

You're buying DISCOUNT furniture so of course it will be different from a luxury brand...) Anyway, that's not what I'm talking about today. I'm talking about the mattresses. I bought a mattress for my apartment over 10 years ago with Bob's. It was a great mattress at first, but I noticed it began sinking in the middle over the last year. I have scoliosis, so a good quality mattress is really important to me. I decided to go back to Bob's for a mattress because they have a pretty good selection of mattresses at fair prices. When arriving, I was greeted by Fatima, who encouraged me to try all the mattresses until I made a decision. In conversing with her, I happened to mention my last mattress was from Bob's, and that it was sinking in the middle. Well, Fatima looked up my account and realized it was under warranty! She called her supervisor to confirm, and they gave me over 800 dollars back towards a new mattress. I was floored, and did not expect to come in and get such a discount! Keep in mind, however, in order for this warranty to be honored, you have to buy the mattress and the protector - which I did. I did the same thing this time around, too. And Fatima encouraged me to speak up if I didn't like this new mattress. They have a 90 day sleep guarantee, and she said "If you don't like it, come back and get the firm." I really appreciated that Fatima took the time to advocate for me, and I hope I love this new mattress. It was literally delivered an hour ago! (And the delivery service was great. The gave me a window the day before, I was able to track where the truck was, and the men were in and out in less than a half hour. They took the old mattress, no problem.) Really, I could not be happier!
