I won't go here again. They charged me $60 for lenses. When I reviewed the claim submitted to my insurance company it showed that my insurance paid $20 and I should have only been responsible for $40. No big deal. It's only $20 right? Wrong! They argued with me in the store that with insurance I'm still responsible for the full amount. I argued back that they were paid $80 for a $60 service. The woman in store finally agrees and says she has to send the issue out to have them mail me a check. 6 hours later they call me at home to tell me that I wasn't eligible for lense coverage at the time of purchase. What? Wait.... um they did cover lenses. That's the issue. Now I get to have the same conversation over the phone that I had in the store. She sees what I'm saying and says she will talk to management. Can't wait for the next call. Family coverage medical is over $2000 per month. Why should I have to pay for what the insurance company I pay for, already paid you! Annoyed AF. read more

I've had to return lens twice due to hazy lens no matter how many times I clean them.

This was my first year coming to Target Optical after my insurance changed. I've been all over from private owned companies to Walmart to Pearle. Target Optical gave me the attention of being in a private owned eye care business but also the price of a huge corporation such as Walmart (but Target wins my vote). Dr. Raji is very friendly. He left out no information that previous eye doctors have in the past. I'm used to spending at least $600 on one pair of glasses, and somehow I've never been told my prescription or that I even developed slight astigmatism. Dr. Raji told me everything, including all of the check up processes and what's new/same. After the actual appointment, I was picking out a bunch of different frames. [That's the best part] Sharon, the lead technician that helps you pick out frames and processes all of the orders, is very nice and very helpful. I've already recommended her to everyone I know that wears glasses, because I was very happy with her service. There are so many sales going on that I ended up buying two pairs of glasses, sunglasses AND contacts. It cost me less than one pair of glasses at Pearle Vision. read more

I came here as a new customer to do an eye exam and get new glasses, and I have had a satisfactory experience. Dr. Ragi Mamistvalov is a great optometrist; he pointed out things about astigmatism that I would not have known otherwise, and also recommended specific future checkups that would benefit my eye health. There was a wide selection of frames to choose from and I was satisfied with my purchase. It was affordable and I even got a nice discount. The reception staff is also very friendly. I went in today to pick up my optical prescription and I was given the worst customer service by Ragi Mamistvalov and his staffs He was so rude and walked away from me as I was speaking. I will never come to any Target Optical because of this experience. If I could I would give ZERO stars. read more

This was my 3rd year coming here all while having the same insurance. The first time I went they had never heard of my insurance and couldn't figure out how it works, so the doctor made me pay up front out of pocket because a different insurance company had burned him. I shouldn't have had to do this but I did and had to return two weeks later to get my money back after the insurance company paid them. The second year I went, once again they couldn't figure it out even though it says on the card "Providers: To obtain an authorization code call (this number) or visit (this website)". Same girl working as the first year so you would think she would have been smart enough to leave notes in my file of how it works. So I spent about two hours here and headed over to Sam's optical with my prescription after to pick up contacts where they're about $20 per box cheaper. When I get to Sam's, I find out the girl at Target went ahead and got two authorizations, one for the exam and one for the contacts even though for the second year I stated I was only there for the exam. So now I had to call my insurance company and explain to them so they would release the authorization hold for contacts so I could purchase them from Sam's. Now to my third year going here..they automatically schedule you for the next exam a year in advance. I cancelled it and rescheduled online and each time I rescheduled, they would cancel it. So finally I call and make an appointment, show up and for the third year in a row they can't figure out how to use my insurance! After sitting for an hour waiting for them to figure it out I pulled out my card and showed them the number and the website. They finally call the right number and can't speak with anyone because it's the weekend. So I tell them to try the website and the guy just says I can't do that. Finally he goes in to the doctor and explains the trouble he's having. The doctor remembers that each year there's a problem and tries to say well we can try and get an authorization next week. So again I go over how easy it is, the card says call the number or visit the website. He tells me they don't have internet access...2018 and this business run out of Target has no internet access! But I see he added his pictures to this yelp site. No thinking outside the box either to try on a smartphone I bet he has...So I took my card back and told them I'll go somewhere else. I spent an hour there and didn't even get my exam. Ps - I visited the website and it goes over the easy steps for them to get an authorization code and even file the claim to get paid. Unbelievable the people working there aren't smart enough to follow the simple instructions printed on my card. read more
