You can immediately tell when a place truly cares about their customers, and this location absolutely does. I have to give special recognition to Carol. She was simply exceptional. Her knowledge, patience, and kindness were on another level. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt completely comfortable with every decision. I finally got my glasses today, I can now write a review about my experience. Pearle Vision is owned by Luxottica, the Black Hand of eyewear and is now one of the largest franchised optical retailers in the USA. My wife and I were getting coffee and decided to stop in to browse. My wife is on a mission to get a funky pair of Burberry frames. A salesperson comes over and starts helping her with the various frames. They were able to find the pair she wanted online. Now, my wife turns her attention to me and says, look at these frames, I think they'd look nice on you. I try them on, sure enough, I look like a runway model. Sold! Now we need to upgrade our eyewear prescription. The person giving me the eye exam, I'm joking with her and we're making small talk. She's finished with the exam and I'm told my glasses should be ready in a few days. A few days pass and I get a call, my glasses are ready. I pick them up and the next day I wear them for the first time. I noticed the long distance was blurry? That night, I went back to the black hand of eyewear and I said check these glasses because my eyes are going batshit crazy. When I was there, the optometrist is working. He gives me a new eye exam and checks the prescription. He said the distance was increased? I guess that's what you get when you joke around with the eye examiner.. The problem was rectified, I just picked up my glasses with the correct lens. Now I can see like a hawk! No harm, no foul on the mistaken prescription. I do have to point out one thing, this place smells like there was a flood? Change the damn carpet, its mildewed! read more

This is my second time at Pearle Vision after having moved to the Three Village area, Angela gives excellent customer service, she explains your plan carefully and helps you pick out frames. The doctor was very nice and patient as well. My son's glasses had broken and they made new ones for him on the spot, they only had premium anti glare but charged me for standard. Went in to discuss options and costs. sales rep clearly couldn't explain her product options. she just repeated phrases that I asked her to clarify. Cost quote was 20% higher than I ended up purchasing elsewhere for a BETTER quality Nikon lense. I've been there a few times before and only purchased from them once. never going back! read more

I have been coming here for years to get glasses and sunglasses. I have an amazing vision plan that covers 100% lenses and frames (designer included) and have never paid anything towards them. This year I went in as usual, picked out my frames and was told that they were not covered under my insurance. I pulled up my coverage pack on my phone and double checked and they are, I have no exclusions as part of my benefit. The manager came over and said it was my plan. I called my insurance in the store and was told that Pearle Vision was wrong. The manager finally admitted that he would not apply my insurance to designer frames (illegal) to which he replied he could do what he wants because they're a "franchise". I reported them to my insurance. I went over to pearle vision in Bohemia and had the best experience and got the glasses I wanted for $0. read more

Couldn't have had a quicker, easier or more convenient process while buying my new glasses. I came here with a Groupon and checked out their frames before I went ahead and bought the Groupon and I found a pair I loved pretty quickly. Their selection was a lot larger than other places I've been too. I found my glasses, talked with the sales woman about adding on the extra specs and two days later I got the call that my glasses were ready! Couldn't have been easier! Let me get right to the point: this is the worst place in the Milky Way to buy your new pair of glasses, the FORM ITSELF of craptastic service (Plato just turned over in his grave). I know you have doubts. You want me to give you a long explanation of my disgusting experience here step by step, to guide you through a reenactment in order to prove that I have found what you may have doubted even existed -- the absolute worst store of all time. The optometrist, Dr. Schrier, here is very friendly and efficient. I had to get my contacts changed since the type I used was being discontinued. He ordered several different types that were similar to my old contact brand so we could find with similar comfort. Great! read more

My wife and I went there in Feb 2012 to get exam and glasses. They were very nice and patient with us and helped us pick the right frames. Accidentally my wife put her brand new glasses over a burning candle and they changed the lens no charge, no questions asked. A part on my glasses broke just last week and even now, after over a year, they fixed with no charge. They know how to keep this customer happy. They did a very thorough eye exam. Nice selection of frames. They didn't measure my lenses right, the vision was off. I also did not get what I paid for. I paid for varilux lenses & a crizal coating, but was given something else. They also don't honor the buy one get one free pair of glasses they advertise. read more
