This was probably one of the worst visits I have had. I went solely to purchase contacts until my next appt and I am thoroughly regretting going there and my decision of even purchasing my contacts. Nothing was explained to me and even when I asked questions, the woman made me feel like I was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about. My questions were very clear and there were multiple instances where she clearly was not actively listening to me and my concerns and I had to repeat myself over and over. I am going to call to return the product tomorrow and go to a different LensCrafters or different company because I'm thoroughly not pleased with this location at all. The woman was going to use my insurance without mentioning my options or even telling me. I questioned her that the out of pocket price seemed very low and she just said, the cost is for both eyes and it's a good price. I said again that I'm shocked it's so low for the price of the product. It wasn't until I went to purchase them that i saw the insurance one time use benefit was being applied. I didn't want to use it because I had an appt in a little over a month that I was planning on using the insurance for in case my contacts changed. Something I told her but she again was not listening. I ultimately just okayed whatever because I wanted to just leave. There was another woman there who answered some of the questions that I had but I didn't interact with her much. I guess I spoke to her on the phone so she remembered why I was there. I'm not sure why she didn't help me as that would have cleared up so much since she knew why I was there and the extra things I needed or concerns that I had. I normally go to a different location but moved so I wanted to try somewhere closer. That will not be happening again. read more

Dr. Fred Silverman is totally professional and truly a concerned and caring physician. Rhonda takes you thru the different pricing and quality of lenses and frames. What I was most surprised is the true concern they display toward YOU as someone in need of their help. There is NO pushing you into more expensive products to make a commission . I was told two weeks ago when I went for a new eyeglasses that I did not need an eye exam since I had one eye Cohens six months earlier now after two weeks attempts to go back and change them I am being asked to pay for an eye exam which I would have paid for in the beginning! Badly made glasses and all I see is a blur out of them! Now as I told LensCrafters I'm driving around with blurred vision! They're now taking $30 off my eye exam! when I should have had one in the first place I would have been more than happy to pay full price!! Don't waste your time after a city worker Celeste 26 years I have never seen anything like this it seems to be it's all about the benjamins don't hit a tree pay the benjamins! I have been going to this Lenscrafters for many years. The eyeglass quality is very good, the selection of frames is also good. It has good parking and is a clean store. Employees are trained well and are always friendly even when I just go in for adjustments. Couldn't give it 5 stars because of the prices. Very high. read more

I visited this LensCrafters today and the staff was amazing. The glasses I brought in were purchased at another store upstate and the guys were so helpful and managed to correct the problem I have with the lenses. Individual attention is required when purchasing prescription glasses so be prepared to be patient and I don't think having to wait for a custom order should be a knock against any business. I would highly recommend this location and I've been to 4 different LensCrafters in the past. read more

Came in here today with my sister. She broke her glasses & came in to obtain a new pair. The general manager Auriel assisted the entire time. He successfully & gracefully managed to asisst us as well as a few other customers that entered the store. He has such a pleasant demeanor! To make a long story short, he helped us to the point where my sister only had to pay approximately $7 out of pocket! I will definitely go back when its time to change my frames. The store is very quiet & I would rather take the drive than deal with the manager Christine (I think) at the Lake Grove store. She was a COMPLETE TURN OFF! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!....Do not waste your time! Me and my fiance had gone here for glasses, me for an eye exam and glasses. I was pretty much rushed through my exam but figured they're the professional what do I know? Anyway I chose a pair of frames as did my fiance our total after checkout should of been 125 plus tax.....NOPE $350 I asked why she said oooh I added "anti scratch anti glare and blue ray protection for your eyes" first if all i didnt ask for that, and matter of fact i specifically stated i did not want any of the extras bc I feel they are unnecessary. They took off the "extras" I walked out paying 163 for two pairs of glasses and an exam. I was advised that at pick up I would have to pay an additional 70 if I wanted a protection plan...that's fine. Anyway it took over a week I went to pick up my glasses and try them on and could NOT see a thing! Everything was blurry and they made me dizzy, I told the worker, her response was "well they're the right RX I checked them...maybe wear them for 2 days and see if they get better"......I than told her absolutely not and asked if she would walk out with these glasses if me, she stated "absolutely not" .....than why the hell would I ????....anyway I said I wanted a refund bc they wouldn't rectify the situation on their end in a timely matter. They wanted me to wait another week for an appt plus another week and a half to two weeks for Frames....I can not go another month without glasses! They tried telling me they could only refund me $100 because she (THE MANAGER) did not know how to refund the rest and she would send me a check for the balance..I said absolutely not had to argue for a bit and ask her twice to please stop walking away from me to help another customer who was there after I came in. Anyway she wound up refunding my money ...all of it! Bottom line DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! save yourself the headache read more

I would give them 4 stars if it weren't for Rhonda. I was going here for many years without a problem. Two years ago I went in to have my glasses tightened Rhonda popped the lenses out (which I'm not accustomed to them doing) As I was driving home I noticed what I thought were scratches on both lenses. I went back and Rhonda checked and said it was in fact crazing that occurred due to heat. I took her word for it as she told me she has been working in this business for many years and this had never happened to her. They replaced my lenses. However when I went back the next year with my new glasses asking her to adjust them she did the same thing!!!!! I noticed as I was leaving and walked right back in and addressed it. At this time Rhonda had left the sales floor into the back and never returned! I believe she knew she did this. They did again replace my lenses but I obviously can not return to this store! My family and I are now going to LensCrafters in Lake Grove. read more

I lost my glasses on Saturday afternoon at ~3:00 and needed a new pair for a long drive home on Sunday. My wife called Lenscrafters and told asked them if they could do an exam and glasses that afternoon. They said get here by 4:00 and we may be able to take care of you. We drove the 40 minutes to get there, arriving at 3:50, only to be told that, "Oh, the doctor's last appointment on Saturdays is at 3:30 and he's gone for the day. Huh. So, they had us drive 40 minutes when they obviously couldn't help us. We ended up at Sterling Optical, who had glasses done by 6:10. Man, they were good! Lenscrafters, not so much... read more
