My hats off to all the good reviews but....... I walked in looking for two pairs of prescription glasses--one for everyday use, one for sunglasses. I left with nothing but a story and a strong urge to scream into a pillow. Beautiful store, lots of choices. Sparkling clean but.... First impression? One lonely male salesperson at the front, eyes locked on his laptop like it held the secrets of the universe. No "hello," no "can I help you?" Just deep in the trenches of... car ads. Yep. While I was trying to see better, he was trying to drive better. I asked where the adult male section was. He pointed. Still seated. No movement. No guidance. Just a finger flick and vibes. Being the age I am, I asked if I could sit on a rolling office chair at another desk. He said, "Okay, but it belongs to that desk." Sir, I'm not trying to adopt the chair--I just want to look at sunglasses without doing lunges. Found a pair I liked. Asked for the price. His response (still seated): "It should be marked on the leg." Aww Dah!!! That's why I asked--because it wasn't. No price tag. No help. No hustle. No sale. Long story short, once I gave him the model, out of the top of his head (I noticed) he made up a price.... "Around $350 or so" (He said) without producing details, offering discounts etc. or whatever to snatch my interest! and obviously, a sale. I gave up and walked out. Passed behind him--still sitting, still browsing car models. He lost a potential $500 sale. Hope the sedan was worth it read more

We bought these glasses for my son 3 months ago and this is the second time the metel Hinge came out of the plastic. The 1st time the Was only 5 days later days later and the manager tried to Tell me that he could fix it if I had the insurance. Being that it was only 5 days he took the frame off of the display shelf and put my son's lenses in them. Well as you can see 3 months later it is doing it again So when I took them up there to show him he said he could only fix them with the insurance and that the reason it is doing it is because my son takes his glasses off and on with the same hand and that is why it is coming out of the plastic. I say it's because they're horribly built and there should be no way the metal hinge comes out Like that It is a defect and needs to be replaced. Need us to say he refused. This is the worst target around. So much in this store is price wrong or not at all. You spend half an hour shopping and then get to the front and have to wait another half hour in line at the register because they have only 2 registers open and 6-8 people in each line. I will not return to this store and I suggest anyone else find another place to shop as well. read more

I was looking around for the best frames and checked out quite a few stores. I decided to check out Target's optical section for frames as well as my last resort and was quite surprised by their selection. Ended up getting beautiful designer ones & loved the style and color selection. They had some really nice Coach and Ray Bans and more. My daughter got her's from there too. Nice selection and the lady was very helpful. Very clean and bright place. read more

What a terrible experience. I would not recommend anyone to go to this store for glasses. I went in for new glasses on 9:18-17 no one really helped me select my frames but that was ok I have my own opinion and if I had a question about a particular frame I just googled the question while in the store. After 30 mins with the help of google I decided upon a frame and waited another 20 mins while the sales associate assisted others when it was finally my turn she helped me place my order and took my $257 dollar payment she then told me my glasses would be back in 7 to 10 days and she would text me and let me know they were ready for pickup. Well day 7 and day 10 came and gone I tried several times to call but no one answered the phone. On day 19 I went back in to inquire about my order and no one seemed to know where my glasses were. Then finally I was told it was UPS fault they sent my glasses to California. I asked the question why no one called me and who appears to be the lead eye glass lady began shuffling paper as if she was puzzled by my question. It was at that point she said we placed your order yesterday and it may come in sooner but no one new exactly. Needless to say I canceled my order. I would rather wear my old glasses until I can go somewhere else than to deal with this poor customer service. I did get a weak sorry on my way out so I'm not even sure they care. Anyway worst experience and I wish I could have given a negative star rating. read more

Save your time and money and do not go here. The staff seems to have inadequate training and professionalism is lacking. I bought a pair of glasses from here some time ago - I told the person helping me I wanted the highest index lenses since my RX is really high and the lenses need to be as thin as possible and I was told that's what I was getting and what I paid for. When the glasses came they were twice as thick as the high index lenses in my other glasses. It seems their idea of high index is 1.6 and not 1.74, which means lenses still as thick as metro bus windows. My glasses were close to a perfect fit and I tried to get them adjusted and they heated up and messed up the frame and insisted it was because of my "high-index lenses". As I was under warranty I had them replace it and try not to mess up the next one. One thing I've noticed here is there is always an excuse for any action this stuff undertakes that is improper. Most recently my frame broke and was unfixable so I ordered a replacement, I went in here to have the lenses swapped from my broken frame into my new frame. I noticed the lady doing this for me was heating my plastic frame and squeezing and molding it around the lenses rather than vice versa (even a layman like me knows this makes no sense) - when it was handed to me it couldn't even sit on my face and the shape of the frame was messed up. Again I was told that this is a risk I run with "high-index" lenses and so I'd have to live with it. I asked them to heat up the frame and remold it to its normal shape as much as possible and I was told since my frame wasn't under warranty and that it was about to get busy in the store (there was only one family in at the time) that I should bring it back later on a non-peak day and they would try to adjust it for me. This type of lack of professionalism and respect for customers is exactly why no one should waste their time here. I ended up going to a respected optometry down the street which, at no charge and despite being busy, spent 30 minutes trying to fix the mess Target had made of my glasses; and were able to undue some of the damage. The optometry confirmed what I said above about the inadequately trained Target Optical staff. Target Optical ruined a brand new pair of frames for me and were unprofessional in every way. Do yourself a favor and spend your time and money on optics somewhere else and you'll be much happier guaranteed. read more
